disagree - I think they opened every letter he mailed out
maybe he knew someone on the inside who had personal visits that he could transfer the letters through

Who has personal visits is a city jail? I personally don’t know of anyone that has. My ex, my daughters father was in jail and I/we had to see him through glass and on a phone and that was for theft charge. That only happens in the movies or I believe when they go to the Pen but I could be wrong!!

If anything happened to the mother of DM and she is holding all the assets DM had, he transferred them to her, where would the money go if she died? Those assets that he transferred may be used to pay the civil lawsuit by Sharlene Bosma. He can also be sued by the Babcock family if found guilty.
CN is also included in the lawsuit, so Sharlene can collect any amount awarded to her, from CN even if it takes years.
I will love to hear that CN is left destitute. If she got employment the Bosma family can go after any money she has. That is justice.

Say what you want about him, the man knows how to market himself. He realizes that guys with big drug charges likely have big dollars that they are desperate to spend to stay out of jail. I'll bet every drug dealer in the city has got this guy's number in their wallet.

Yep, I certainly don't disagree with you there.

I guess my issue is... all the Instagram pictures, posts and comments, #NoTalking, #StopSnitching, "Cocaine pays lol!!!", etc, etc, etc, plus the commentary of other outraged lawyers voicing their concerns and the concerns of judges and crown attorneys, really makes the Law Society of Upper Canada look like a joke. As mentioned in the article, they have a Rules of Professional Conduct clause, and the LSUC "couldn't confirm whether or not a complain had been made".

Well, from what I looked up before, he has no disciplinary actions against him, so even if a complaint was made, it wasn't taken further. I can't help but wonder what else the LSUC would let slide regarding Deepak Paradkar. :silenced::dunno:

Can we please get over the obsession with CN. She spent 4 months in jail for a charge that was at best, nearly impossible to prove. Google her name, unless she develops a cure for cancer, these trials will follow her for the rest of her life.

A permanently damaged reputation is enough punishment for me.

I've been googling this morning with no luck on finding what I am seeking.

Maybe I dreamed it, but here goes and if anyone remembers this, or can find a link to it, I'd really appreciate it.

I recall, back in the early goings of the Tim Bosma case when Deepak Paradkar was still representing him, that there was an "emergency" in camera hearing and an immediate publication ban. It was right after this hearing that Deepak Paradkar withdrew from DM's "team" and Ravin Pillay took over.

You think I can find anything in msm to back this up? No!!! But I am sure it happened.

When the jailhouse letters became known I immediately remembered this particular event and thought that Paradkar was involved in some way.

If he was, and if he was sanctioned in some way, that is probably still held under a publication ban until the WM trial is finished.

Does anyone else remember this?

I think this is when that happened:

Many of her posts are old posts she is reposting. She thinks she is important and people are watching her, which might be true but it's not because she is important. It is because we want to see her on the stand.

She isn't smart. She was in love with DM, no smart person would be.
IMO CN isn't "in love" with DM- I think his demented actions simply turn her on as much as being a "woman of intrigue" does. From what I see of DM's texts and letters, she may have very well manipulated DM into murdering LB. Sick, sick people. The letters setting up a plan around LB overdosing were prior to him being charged with LB's murder, so CN knew that DM had "hurt" LB and "made her go away"- she knew that LB was dead and didn't seem to be too concerned about going to LE about it. IMHO, CN gets off on sick stuff thus her name "Kinks".

We learned during the TB trial who many of the ones on the no contact list were - CN of course and most of his merry band of co-felons. But, following up on the Canada Post idea, all he had to do was mail those letters to MB, with no address or salutation using CN's name/address, and with a nudge nudge wink wink understanding between MB and DM the letters would be passed on directly to her. Indeed this latter part was part of evidence in the TB trial. DM was also corresponding with other young females I recall, including one of RB's daughters. After all he didn't have much else to do.

I doubt correspondence addressed to his mother would have been scrutinized closely.

I don't know about this, to be honest. I would place a bet that MB herself was on that no-contact order. (Ruthless, as she's his mother, but highly likely due to her involvement). I doubt LE cared that Rabbit missed her little Lamb.

I think his in and out mail would have been heavily scrutinized as to comply with the no-contact order. Maybe not fully read, but names and addresses checked. There was someone else involved, that passed the letters off to MB, who then passed the letter on to CN (and also SS).

Then there was talk of Paradkar no longer representing DM, and in June it was confirmed: https://www.therecord.com/news-story/5688882-millard-to-be-represented-by-new-lawyer/

So, if I remember correctly, the media went to court to fight being excluded from these hearings. Trying to find the article I think I remember that spoke about something that would be "shocking" to the public or would sway public opinion, or something along those lines. Which would fit with Paradkar getting caught smuggling letters.

Sorry, I can't let her off that fast. IMHO, she's a twisted young woman walking the streets just waiting to hook up with the next guy who can fill her needs. IMO, having a permanently damaged reputation doesn't fizz on her- but knowing that she was able to have so much power over a wealthy man, enough to have him murder a rival will keep her excited for years to come. MOO

Ah, here it is:

Glithero would not explain why the public was being excluded, only that the issue is “important” and “controversial” and needed to be dealt with immediately.

A lot of projection there.

DM didn’t give a rip about any of the ladies in his harem.

what jail was he in? I have very limited experience with jails and have been to two different ones - the first was glass/phone, the second was in person where people are blatantly doing things against the rules

Just a hunch, but I think CN may appear next week based on her recent social media pic.

Could it be possible that DM had another inmate mail the letter to her well rabbit slipped some money into there cantine???

If you see the house they live in they are not wealthy. If they paid for the very high priced lawyer she had , I don't know how they would have the money to pay for her trips. Unless they are somehow getting money from a source. I think it could be possible the mother of DM is giving her money. Maybe CN knew something about the mother and so to keep her quiet the mother is giving her money. She could be using the assets DM transferred to her to give money to CN. Anything, in this case, is possible, it is such a bizarre case.

I'm sure they are not poor, I believe her parents are both Dr.s who own their own Physio/Chiropractic business. They put up a surety of $100,000.00 for her bail. Not sure where the thinking they have no money comes from, unless based on the size of their home? (Which is likely worth a pretty penny itself these days, especially if they bought it many years ago for cheap)

While she revels in what is happening still? She knew LB was missing, dead, and gone. Yet she never said boo. Damaged reputation is not enough for me, for two people who have lost their lives and their families who have lost them. I don't believe for a minute she wasn't in on it all.

Agreed

IIRC the "Big D" was incarcerated at Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre HWDC, also referred to as Barton Street Jail, at the time of the letters being ferreted

Question... Can the judge instruct the jury that an M1 charge can be reduced to "accessory after fact" as an option for MS?
Accessory can carry a life sentence, and with MS already being charged with M1 in the TB case, would be reason for the Crown to go for maximum.

I would be happy to see MS getting another (consecutive) life sentence for his part, regardless of him getting a 2nd M1 charge or accessory charge.

Accessory after fact to murder

240 Every one who is an accessory after the fact to murder is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for life.
