That is a good question. I would think they would much prefer to lure him to the Bahamas. A murder for hire in Georgia is a good way to end up on death row.
I have seen it reported earlier that they were all in the Bahamas on vacation and when RS found out about this, he got the kids and flew home, leaving LS in the Bahamas. Cannot verify if true or not, so just MOO.

Thanks for posting link. Need to decide whether to watch this or Henry Ruggs sentencing. Glad they're recorded, but like to watch live events. :)
It's a quick video of her entering the legal building. I had to watch it a couple of times to make sure it was a new video as she's wearing the same clothing as yesterday. I'm assuming she's worn the same clothing since her incarceration. Or maybe she wears jail clothing while in jail, but changes into her "street clothes" when she appears at court. Either way, icky yuck.

one of the recent articles posted on here it stated he was there with his family and kids ( she was already there with her lover) and fled with the kids when the police told him about the plot.

I have one kid, a son who is 17. Good kid.

Anyway, if he was involved in this kind of stuff, at age 38, I would let him sit in prison for awhile, instead of renting him a place.
I agree with what you're saying! I don't have children but I will say my parents were firm with my sibling and me but soft with their grands, which surprised the crap out of me! I grew up living with the belief that I would have to deal with it on my own!

Matt Johnson on Court TV just reported that all 3 defendants were seated together in some sort of gated space in the courtroom and that LS and her boyfriend were seated close enough to be touching and they were whispering to each other. Sounds very different compared to US courtrooms! He descibed it as an old english style wooden walled courtroom.

(ABC NEWS) — A Thomasville woman accused of conspiring to kill her own husband while on vacation in the Bahamas arrived back at court Wednesday morning.

Thirty-six-year-old Lindsay Shiver is a mother of three. Investigators say she along with two other men allegedly planned to murder her husband of 13 years, Robert Shiver.

This is a developing story. Check back soon for updates.

Most recent live update from Matt Johnson of Court TV - LS has now been released and she was whisked away in a car driven by her attorney.

He further described the area in the courtroom where the defendants were sitting as "not a cage, but it has bars"....I am having a hard time trying to "see" this in my head!

Same, I googled for a photo and could not find anything.

She'd prefer to cheat on her husband and commit murder than get a divorce?
The problems with divorce are dividing the marital assets, and custody of the kids.

Unfortunately I'd say it's a fairly common motive behind husband's killing their wives, so perhaps not surprising that women are doing it too.

See, for example, the recent cases of James Faith and Charles Vallow, just off the top of my head.

The Georgia housewife who was arrested in the Bahamas for allegedly plotting to kill her estranged husband was reunited with her Bahamian lover and the alleged hitman in court Wednesday prior to being released on bail.

Lindsay Shiver, 36, sat in the defendant’s box with her boyfriend Terrance Adrien Bethel and accused hitman Faron Newbold — with the lovebirds spotted whispering and smiling at each other throughout the proceedings.

The trio has been accused of orchestrating a hit against Robert Shiver, 38, a former Auburn football player and father-of-three who filed for divorce against Shiver in April, citing her infidelity.

Shiver, who has remained in Nassau’s notorious Fox Hill Prison for 19 days since her arrest, was expected to be released on a $100,000 bond after being outfitted with an ankle monitor.

Her lawyers said she will reside in the island’s Cable Beach neighborhood after surrendering her passport to a US Embassy representative in the courthouse.

Cable Beach:

Get to know Cable Beach

Cable Beach is the most popular stretch of sand on New Paradise Island, just ten minutes west of Nassau with two-and-half miles of fantastic beach to explore. Adjacent to the beach are five luxury resorts, a golf course, and the Bahama’s biggest casino. (If you’re wondering about the name, it came from the undersea telegraph cable that came ashore in 1892.)

This set of facts may actually be important. It leads me to believe that LS had a good feeling she'd lose the custody battle and pursuit of alimony and that was something she wasn't willing to do. Did she take a drastic step to get what she wanted? Is she the brainchild?

Possible Murder Plot:
FN is sent a photo of R from Lindsay. R is with his parents and 3 children. Under the guise of a robbery gone bad at the S townhome while R is w/family, she tells Newbold to Kill him! Newbold was to go to the S townhome in Baker's Bay and do what he's been asked or paid to do: Attempt to rob them and R gets shot and killed in the melee.

When does the burglary at Grabber's occur? It happened on or about Thur, July 20 - trio arrested Fri, July 28

Power was cut to the G's building as well as the power line to the automatic generator. A skilled Bahama Power & Electric Tech could easily perform these tasks. FN possesses the right kind of experience.

Maybe police knew it was an inside job because foreknowledge was required to know the automatic backup generator would kick in when the power was cut. As a consequence, it's highly likely that no security footage is available for the burglary crime. Hence, no charges for the burglary have been filed so far.

Why did TB, 28, choose FN, 29? Are the two loyal old friends?

Oh barf/hurl … putting aside the absolute horror of MURDER..she stopped thinking of her children evidently during this plan.
Kids grow up & figure things out.
