Congrats to any Chicago posters who are still checking on this thread on the World Series win last night. :aktion:

I bet HM and TS in particular were really bummed about not being in town for the celebrations. So sad...not. :winko:

I don't remember when, but at least once before HM lost her phone in one of these raids. I remember because I think a reporter asked her about it and she just laughed and said she'd buy another one.

IIRC, there are three distinct areas in the prison: men-foreigners, men-local, and women. The riots earlier this year were gang riots in the men-local part of the prison, so neither HM nor TS were involved.

Earlier this year, some rules were tightened. The visitors' area used to be wide open and visiting hours were pretty generous. There are old pictures of one of the Bali nine, Scott Rush, sitting in the corner of a crowded area canoodling with his visiting 'girlfriend', Nikki Butler. Supposedly that's changed now. Visits are limited in length and visitors and prisoners communicate through bars.

If HM is still actively posting, she must have switched to a new account.

I'm not in Chicago, but especially after that last game, who isn't a Cubs fan? What a way to win - 3 down, full series, last game over-time win - fantastic!

My mom passed away 10 years ago.. but she was a major Cubs fan and grew up in Chicago, so I dedicate this win to her!!

She must have had at least 3 phones by now - so I dont think there will be a problem getting another one - this has been happening long before she got to the jail - contraband has always been available
from these prisons.

...and Im sure she would find a way to post on some form of social media - she's a narcissist - she cant help herself.

Wasn't Bibbs trial supposed to start today??? anyone hear anything about it?

It appears that TS still has access to, and is using, his IG account but HM appears to have abandoned hers, or at least the one she was using. She is probably using more direct message forms of communication since the last media story about her IG account. She is the one trying to fool the lawyers and judges into believing she needs the money for Stella so pictures of her smoking, drinking and partying can't be very helpful in that regard. Perhaps she's finally realized that taunting her haters was not really in her best interest.

I can't believe they would just drop it.... and no follow up in the news. Unless he is cutting a deal/cut a deal to turn on the Bali two. He's sure talking big on Social media... even tho i'm not seeing anything from HM or TS.

I wished I had found this site yesterday. I can't find a way to backtrack.

According to the above link, Bibbs is scheduled for a motion hearing tomorrow at 0900 with Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer. Case # 1.15-cr-00578.

I have no idea what, if anything, took place yesterday. Bibbs did file a motion to dismiss with the same judge in September and she denied it.

Is he talking about the case? What SM is he using?

TIA

Great find ajaylee. We'll have to keep an eye on the judges calendar to see if there is anything new. So does this mean he entered another motion yesterday which she is going to rule on tomorrow? :waitasec:

The link shows the procedures the judge will use in RB's case. We're still in one of the motion steps. Farther down, there's the possibility of a settlement conference (no!). If they don't settle, the next phase is jury selection.

I have no idea how long any of these steps can take or what kind of delays there might be. I'm guessing/hoping that the local news will start following things if/when it gets to the jury selection step. At least one judge is off for Thanksgiving week; I didn't check this judge's calendar, but we are coming up on the holiday season.

Reading the judge's denial of motion to dismiss, it looks like this isn't a slam-dunk case. I hope other folks read it and weigh in. If I understand it correctly, it looks like existing case law doesn't cover this situation. Conspiracy generally means people get charged for sitting down and planning something. It looks like RB's attorneys are saying the law doesn't apply to him because he wasn't in on the original plot, he just came on later as an 'adviser'.

Meanwhile, HM is supposed to give up Stella in a little over four months.

Where can I read the motion to dismiss?

And I believe something will happen in April that allows HM to either keep Stella with her for a while longer or allows her to get out on very early parole. I hope I'm wrong.

Here is the motion to dismiss, filed and denied in September.

Something odd is going on. When I posted the link in my earlier post, the Bibbs case was on Judge Pallmeyer's calendar. Yesterday, her calendar for the entire day was gone!

I don't know if she got sick or what, but the day before when I posted, she had a full day of cases. Yesterday, every other judge's calendar was still there, but hers was gone. Her calendar is back for the next days, but I'm guessing that if a judge has a day off for some reason, the cases all get rescheduled. I can't find a way to actually track the case itself.
I'm hoping that because her entire calendar disappeared, not just the USA v. Bibbs case, that the case wasn't settled or dismissed and we don't know it yet.

One other thing I noticed. Way back when this all started, before the trial, there were conflicting reports about TS admitting to the murder. This was around the time he and HM were still in jail and trying to arrange Indonesian attorneys. A Chicago attorney made a statement saying that TS had NOT admitted to murder. He said he wasn't representing TS, but he was a friend of the family giving advice. It didn't matter, because a few days later it came out that TS actually had confessed - maybe when confronted with the hotel video.

That attorney friend-of-the-family wasn't an Elkin/Favia hack. He was Thomas Durkin. He is currently a judge on the same North Chicago court where RB is going to be tried.

I agree, Kamille, it's hard for me to see them actually taking Stella away from HM. Something she posted on IG once made me think she thinks if she can get the $$, Soenardi will 'buy' her a Presidential mercy pardon because she's a grieving mother, look what a good job she's doing, she's stayed out of trouble in prison, goes to church, bla-bla. Of course, if she's going to try that, it's probably a good idea to keep a lower/cleaner profile in social media.

I'd like to know how much she's getting paid for her part in the docu-drama that her mother's friend Diana is helping with.

You know, the weirdest thing to me is how both she and TS keep acting like the text messages don't exist or have been thoroughly discredited. They both have to know that the messages have been vetted by the FBI and made public. Even TS's last FB post acted like those messages don't even exist. ???

Thanks again ajaylee. I had not seen that document. Very interesting reading. It appears that the recent motion was likely born of that document and that it was a "motion for a bill of particulars". Seems the lawyers are having a tough time figuring out just what the evidence is that was used for the charge. ;)

Just another step to allow his attorney to play with words, try for a dismissal based on the particulars and delay the inevitable trial. Isn't he on some kind of house arrest? You'd think they'd want to speed this up. :waitasec:

Here's a working link to the document for anyone else interested...

https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCOU...r-00578/pdf/USCOURTS-ilnd-1_15-cr-00578-1.pdf

And their refusal to acknowledge the text messages is absurd IMO.

Only USA celebrates Thanksgiving? Which other holiday are you talking about WF, I'm confused!
