Too late. He already did the job he was paid to do. He walked a fine line and managed to simultaneously condemn her actions and ask for leniency because of her youth, remorse and baby.

When is the last time anyone here witnessed a prosecutor asking judges to go easy on the accused? That's supposed to be the job of the defense.

Still, it will sting his pride and I'm sure his mates will laugh at him. Takes her money, delivers as soft a sentencing request as possible, and gets publicly slammed because he won't allow missy to go to the hospital for R&R whenever she feels like a break or skipping a court date.

Just a tiny glimpse of what SWM had to put up with for years.

She will be a gift that keeps on giving. :D
They have no one to blame but themselves.

I think I over-looked this in the recent changes - Favia is now listed as a Plaintiff in this Trust Case.(?) Favia no longer needs HM to Petition to withdraw funds from the Trust, correct? My my, what a fiasco - I almost feel bad for Cohen now.

I am going to toss out a wild guess here, should Bali not drop the Premeditated Murder Charge, it may open up a door for an additional Civil Case where possibly baby Stella will have $ signs all over her as she will be a minor for quite sometime. (I think most forget how little 1.5 million really is after all the taxes, fees, attorneys and debts are paid)

This case alone is going to alter the terms used in so many wills/estate/trust documents. It is sad that it is not already assumed in the documents, but I can see quite a few people running out to change the wording in their own. "if said heir is a suspect in the cause of my death"...

No, that is not correct (thank god). Plaintiff just means "a party that institutes a suit in a court" nothing more. The language that you'd look for to indicate the court has granted a request or motion would be "Order". I do find it interesting that Haller filed Objections on 4/10/15 and that a Briefing schedule which Favia asked for was allowed, which is basically asking/telling the court the attorneys wish to file a brief (research)on the issues and may or may not be requesting oral argument, it doesn't say. Oral argument may be allowed, it is discretionary by the court.

ETA: I'm guessing that Haller objected to Favia's motion to get paid based on some caselaw or precedent he's found and Favia's in court response was to ask for time to research and brief the issue.

I was reading an old article today, (I'm sorry I don't have the link), but Tommy Schaeffer's attorney name also had Edy in his name. I do not know if this is Edy is still TS his lawyer, or if this is who HM was talking about.

According to the Chicago Tribune article posted by Curious Me in post #485, TS's lawyer is Iswahyudi Edy. I don't think HM was referring to him though. I think the prosecutor's name is Eddy (something). Wasn't it prosecutor "Eddy" who helped HM out of the hospital with Stella? She seemed to be on first name terms with him.

I deleted my post because I realized Kamille talked about Iswahydi Edy and his connections to Ary Soenardi back on 4-7-15. (post 301 if you want to read).

They obviouslywork together, so I think HM may have been talking about him, but, it very well could be the prosecutor Eddy Arta Wijaya. Actually, it probably is since I'm sure Heather would be on a first name basis with her prosecutor.

With all the activity in the Chancery Court, I don't see Elkin's name mentioned any where.

At the very least, both he and Favia would want their expenses in Bali reimbursed. I doubt that they flew coach, stayed in hostels and ate street food.

I'm guessing there might be some interesting legal precedents behind Favia's quest to get paid. When is a parent responsible for the bills racked up by a minor child? Doesn't it get odd to think that a parent might hire an attorney to represent the child, a representation that could be not in the parent's best interests? Isn't there some kind of potential ethical conflict of interest?

Is it legal for an unborn child to have its own attorney, one chosen by the same mother who might not have its best interests at heart? Favia's charges, after all, seem to stem from activity prior to Stella's birth.

Since this case has been about $ and the immediate need to access it, I am going to think the opposite for a minute considering the upcoming sentencing & a new baby in the picture.

If I am not mistaken - IL does not have any clause that I am aware of that does not allow an inheritance to be passed to next generation line in a slayer type civil suit, so that none in same immediate family line benefit. I think Texas is the only State that does not allow the children of the convicted to inherit next.

I am wondering if HM can actually move the $ to Stella in this same Chancery case? Can it then be petitioned for maintenance $ for HM at least while the child is under HM's care? Then whomever has temporary custody can also draw on it. When HM is released, she can then hunt Stella down and extract the remaining? That is what started this whole mess to begin with right? JM's, SWM's & now HM's $.

I would think if HM wanted to secure any of it, any royalties, copyrights etc., she would move it to Stella and just draw it from there. Maybe just as SWM did w/ HM? She had to have learned something in those years watching her Mother move $ around, even if there were royalty checks that came in or just SSI from her Father's death would have been for HM's care that SWM would have over those years. (yes, it defaults to custodial parent)

Is this even possible? I mean, can HM actually find loopholes to still gain from this?

Oh Gawd, I hope I did not just shed light on a loophole :shame:

Whose side are you on anyways? :giggle:

Don't count on being paid for your brilliant ideas. Too many people are ahead of you in line for a piece of the pie.

"Maybe it is all the coke ... all the Indonesians think I'm crazy for drinking coke, maybe they are on to something"
(Good to know that her 'care' money is providing her with all the good nutrition required to feed a baby  )

Heather Mack worries baby Stella is losing her hair behind bars in Bali as she awaits sentencing for the murder of her mother.

Oh great, the baby's receiving caffeine through her breast milk!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead: That'll help her sleep, NOT!!!

US Consul staff visited her today but gave no comment.
Baby Stella is still with her because she is breastfeeding. Smh
http://regional.kompas.com/read/201....Pembunuh.Ibu.Kandung.Mengaku.Stres.di.Selnya

When asked [her] opinion on the plan of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights offered to her [to choose a baby sitter], Heather admitted [agreement]. However, according to [her,] the plan was not carried out [until] in the near future as the baby is still breastfeeding. "Yes I [agreed] with the proposal of the minister but not now. My baby's still breastfeeding," [she] said.
By drinking Cokes she's breastfeeding the baby caffeine. This is good for the baby how??? Take her away. The baby can survive healthier on formula than caffeine!!!

BTW-for those that may not know this, most babies loose the hair they were born with. Then, new hair grows in. So it's not Heather's junk food diet causing the hair loss. But HM doesn't know this, because she killed/helped kill her mother who would have told her this.

I also noticed the baby was crying when she was brought to the holding cell. She appeared hungry. As soon as HM held her, she stopped crying. (Knew she was getting food). This tells me the baby has formed a bond with the Mother.

I hope upon hope that as soon as the verdict is handed down, Stella is moved permanently.

I did not expect the verdict today because it was said in earlier reports that the prosecution got to give their $.02 before the judges handed a verdict.

I would like to hear what the prosecution said. I was surprised at a report that the verdict would be read Thursday. From others posting here, it seems other trials have taken longer.

Besides, Heather could decide to breastfeed her up to 2 years old, so how is agreeing to give the baby up any different then???

Wow...just wow. And I have to run out for a while so I don't have time to look over the articles, just quickly watched the videos. She's a born leader and manipulator, with huge attitude and entitlement that's for sure. Poor Sheila :(

MOO
And poor Stella, who should be named for Sheila.

I wonder if she misses her room?

https://vine.co/v/b9jP9QYO7b0

Or her car?

https://vine.co/v/b91UXPbZDMA

She killed the woman who bought her a Cadillac :waitasec:

Shopping!

https://vine.co/v/bE3qPJIabw1

No kidding! I saw that and was thinking WHAT??? She got a Cadillac??

I have thought for a long time that Sheila was going to be out of money before too long. She got $300k+ and then the $500k that went to Heather first from the lawsuit. She had her house that she sold for $650k, but bought a downtown condo, so that isn't "spendable" money. Unless she had her own money (like a family inheritance), it seems to me she was burning through it pretty quick.
