That is as simple and straight forward a bankruptcy petition as I have ever seen.

The only issue I see (other than the obvious civil claims by ZG, TES and RK) is her Statement of Financial Affairs (pdf pg. 36). I just can't fathom that the wording "non-monetary gifts and gift cards from various unrelated third parties - value unknown" (BBM) is gonna cut it. Makes no sense. Gift cards ARE money and they have a value. Period. And there are 3 years of those listed. And I don't believe for a minute that all those "parties" are unrelated. Stinks to high heaven. I just don't see that "value unknown" flying with a judge, but what do I know. I've been proven wrong more times that I care to think about when it comes to anything involving Casey Anthony.

Also, I have never in my life heard of criminal fines being dischargable. Never.

Also, the spelling is atrocious in this filing and the Matrix (the last pages listing all the unsecured creditors) is a flipping mess as far as formatting. What an embarrassment. Good grief.


Very curious that everyone involved in this mess was listed as a debtor except Cheney Mason. Or maybe I missed him. I know he wasn't in alphabetical order and I tried to keep an eye open for his name. Things that make ya go hmmmm :innocent:

The bankruptcy courts are not ones to mess around with. They will respect you as long as you are open and honest and respect their procedures and laws. They are pretty much no-nonsense. People do not get away with lies/deception, or even being slightly evasive. However, it IS Casey Anthony, so I will be surprised if some level of special treatment is not bestowed upon her.

As far as the mitigation specialist (whose name escapes me) and Mort - Would they be included in the DePaul Univ. "consulting fees" entry? I can't recall if they were all employed with AL at DePaul.

I think you've just cleared up who those "unrelated parties" are who have been supplying her with gift cards and non-monetary gifts for the past 3 years.

me thinks in order for her cards to play right with all these lawsuits she needed to get as many people as possible to list on her BK request to look good in front of a judge and be granted which means GA & CA are once again helping her further..what do they expect to get out of her anyway ?? Wouldn't it be funny if the "jury consultant" Rosalie Bolin [married to the convict] sent her a bill and got paid because she is not in the bankruptcy filing?!

No, it would have been cooked up in advance between them. I am just hinting that with what we know about these people, nothing would surprise me. I mean...Baez got paid by the state for representing Casey, did he not? He submitted bills and I have to assume those bills were paid by the state, so how can she owe him half a million dollars? If he was not paid, his claim would be against the state, not Casey...right?

Well all I know is a Judge and Trustee will be assigned to the case. I hope they appreciate receiving documents, interviews and videos to help them sort through the bull. They can't allow Casey to make a mockery of every court in FL!

yes, Andrea Lyon [no "s"] is on the list - I just meant that mitigation specialist Jeanene Barrett and Mort Smith the P.I. were with Andrea Lyon but those two are not listed in the bankruptcy filing - only AL. They are probably included in the DePaul Univ like Beach said, because that is where they work, with AL.

No, Baez did not get paid for his fees, just for costs (like expert witness fees).

Long time lurker here, since the Scott Peterson trial. First post ever. I prepare BK petitions.
Any money owed to the IRS will be discharged if it has been three years since date the IRS debt was determined. Determined is the important word, this means she either filed her taxes that year, or has a letter from the IRS saying she owes money. Once Three years after the date of that letter passes, you can file a BK and the IRS debt will be discharged.

OMG in heaven I am truly shaking and feeling the need to swan dive off the Mississippi Bridge downtown!

I just cannot even believe this is true and how I got so screwed.. in a horrendous extended divorce and closing of the business we had in both of our names...well..several years after all of the nightmare was over and I went about my life filing my taxes every year like a good little girl up til one year the measely lil' ol refund I was to receive got HELD..after weeks of going through the rigamarole with attempting find out why/how there was a HOLD due to DEBT..

I WAS THROWN FOR A LOOP OF A LIFETIME TO LEARN THAT THERE WERE IRS TAXES(from years ago) THAT WERE NEVER PAID AND I WAS THE DUMB, CLUELESS DUCK WHOSE NAME AND SSN HAD THE NEARLY $15,000.00 DEBT, INTEREST, AND A MULTITUDE OF OTHER ACCRUING CHARGES ASSIGNED TO IT!!!

After 4 more years of attempting to "fix it" along with this exact and ONLY debt aging me beyond belief with the day/night anxiety I suffered over this nightmare(which the amount of time was so far past this above 3yr necessary passage of time in order for one to have the IRS debt discharged thru BK).. I ended up paying it in full(which by that time the amount had continued to grow well beyond the 15grand) I paid it off to the IRS IN FULL via personal loan with chitty interest rate..

and now to know the ^^^above^^^.... as well as to watch CA just rack and skate on debt like its nothing but a few bucks owed on a late return of a Blockbuster video IS JUST TRULY ALMOST TOO MUCH TOO TAKE!
