He doesn't have to talk to police. That is his right. My guess is that his lawyer is saying NO. And that is okay. People have a right to protect their rights and make the Police and DA take the wheel.
I hope he has no involvement. I really really have a hard time when the people closest to people turn on them. It seems so much more cruel than a random attack.
You are right. NG doesn't have to do anything, especially talk to police.
However, if he truly wants to see his girlfriend/wife/sister, he best start talking.
I don't know if any parent would let their child's "love interest" have ready access to their child when the so called "love interest" won't even talk about what happened to the child.
He wouldn't be talking to her if she was my daughter.
