Dungey: "he also said 'you are the relief to many of my headaches.' Why did he say that?"
SS says he assumes it's bc he fixed stuff for him.

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 15s16 seconds ago
Millard text to Schlatman: "You are the relief of many of my headaches." Dungey asks if that's because he turns blind eye to "hot items."

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes now
"Or a hot item came into work and you never asked any questions?" Dungey asks.
Pillay objects. Jury is asked to step out. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 32s33 seconds ago
Pillay objects. Judge stops questions, excuses jury.

Schlatman says he found it unusual when Millard said not to come into the hangar at all in a text, "not even to pick something up."
by Adam Carter 11:20 AM

In a text, Millard said to Schlatman that he was "the relief to many of his headaches." Dungey asks Schlatman if that's because he didn't ask questions. Pillay objects, and the jury is sent out for arguments.

Dinette words were whether it was because "a hot item came into work and you never asked any questions?" #TimBosma

Now why would RP object to that? After all, that is the text DM sent to SS. On another note, it sure looks like whatever DM wanted- he took and made it his own. "Mr. Rich Guy" . Didn't this guy have any boundaries? Answered my own question: No

Of course....more legal arguments! Was waiting for that :pillowfight:

Dungey now asking about the vehicles again. "Did you have any knowledge as to these vehicles as to where they really came from?" Dungey asks. "No sir," Schlatman says.
by Adam Carter 11:27 AM

Bosma vanished on the 6th -- Millard sent the message not to come in on the 7th. On the 8th, when Schlatman got back to work, Bosma's truck was in the hangar.
by Adam Carter 11:28 AM

The truck was totally stripped. Other vehicles in the hangar had been stripped in the past, Schlatman says.
by Adam Carter 11:28 AM

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Schlatman says he doesn't know where vehicles really came from and he never asked Millard. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Jury is back. Dungey goes back to vehicles police inquired about: Did you have any knowledge as to where they came from?
No sir, SS says.

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 2m2 minutes ago
Jury back. SS asked if had any knowledge of the vehicles. He said no. @AM900CHML #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Back to text. Dungey says you get this text May 7, first thing you see when you go into work May 8 is black truck. Yes, SS says. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 1m1 minute ago
May 8 sees black truck in hangar. Now knows it was #bosma truck. Truck stripped, cans of paint around it.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 49s50 seconds ago
Cans of paint next to truck. Interior was all stripped. Millard didn't tell you he was going to buy a truck right? No sir, SS says. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 35s36 seconds ago
Millard never told him he would be buying a truck, says Schlatman.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 23s24 seconds ago
You got a good luck inside? Dungey asks. Yes, he says. "I just stuck my head in, had a look around. 30 secs maybe." #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 31s32 seconds ago
"You didn't see any smudges on dash that looked unusual?" D asks. No sir, Schlatman says. There were no plates. #Bosma

Schlatman says Millard hadn't talked about buying a truck.
by Adam Carter 11:29 AM

Schlatman says he doesn't remember saying Millard bought it in Kitchener, but court has heard that in the past.
by Adam Carter 11:30 AM

"And you asked no questions?" Dungey asks. "None," Schlatman says.
by Adam Carter 11:30 AM

Now why would RP object to that? After all, that is the text DM sent to SS. On another note, it sure looks like whatever DM wanted- he took and made it his own. "Mr. Rich Guy" . Didn't this guy have any boundaries? Answered my own question: No

Think is was more about this part

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 21s22 seconds ago
Jury excused abruptly after dungey brings up that Shlatman casts a blind eye to "hot items" coming into Hangar. @AM900CHML #TimBosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 32s33 seconds ago
Asked if he saw "smudging" on dash. He says no. Schlatman says he was told Millard bought truck. Can't remember if bought in Kitchener.

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 45s46 seconds ago
Dungey now asking about how the #Bosma truck suddenly appeared at work stripped down.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 32s33 seconds ago
Dungey asks about where Millard got it. "Like other veh, you come in...he tells you he bought it...you ask no Qs?" No sir, SS says. #Bosma

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 30s31 seconds ago
May 8th. Bosma truck in hangar. On tarp. Stripped. SS believes DM who said it was bought. Never questions why its stripped. @AM900CHML

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 23s24 seconds ago
He asked no question other than what Dell wanted to do with it. Wanted to paint it and modify it for better fuel economy.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 28s29 seconds ago
Only Q he asked was what he wanted to do with it. DM wanted to modify it, he says, for fuel efficiency. Add an edge box. #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 16s17 seconds ago
Schlatman says he stuck his head in for "20 seconds" and claims he never noticed the blood stains on the dashboard #TimBosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 13s14 seconds ago
He wanted to take it to Baja, right? Dungey asks. Yes, SS says. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 34s35 seconds ago
Dell wanted to use truck to go to Baja. Wanted this truck painted red, like his other truck. Wanted windshield taken out of red truck.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 25s26 seconds ago
He wanted it painted red? Dungey asks. Yes, SS says. D: you didn't find that odd? No sir. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 16s17 seconds ago
"The paint looked in pretty good shape but he wanted it red," SS says. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 10s10 seconds ago
Also D points out he wanted the windshield removed, which also seemed fine. Schlatman agrees. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 14s14 seconds ago
Now on to Schlatman finding #TimBosma truck in hangar. Didn't think it odd the truck interior was stripped

Now why would RP object to that? After all, that is the text DM sent to SS. On another note, it sure looks like whatever DM wanted- he took and made it his own. "Mr. Rich Guy" . Didn't this guy have any boundaries? Answered my own question: No

Yep. A hangar full of stolen items that he could haul away. For his own personal use or just because he could. And some of that stuff, like the cement mixer and floor polisher, probably weren't on wheels. So it would have required more than one person to lift it onto one or the back of a pick up. I bet DM knew about every equipment rental and retail dealership within a 100km radius who left equipment out on the front lawn overnight.

MOO

Millard wanted to modify the Bosma truck, repaint it red, and use it in the Baja race, Schlatman says.
by Adam Carter 11:31 AM

"You take the windshield out of the truck, it's pretty easy to change the VIN number, right?" Dungey says. Schlatman says yes.
by Adam Carter 11:32 AM

Schlatman previously testified Millard asked him to get a windshield kit to take the windshield out of the red truck.
by Adam Carter 11:33 AM

Schlatman says Millard "brushed him off" when asking questions about the truck's stripped interior.
by Adam Carter 11:34 AM --- * Adam changed it to: Schlatman says Millard "brushed him off" when asking questions about the truck.
by Adam Carter 11:34 AM

* Not sure which he meant, the truck itself or just the stripped interior.

I hope he asks him about FIL being fired after call to Crime Stoppers that SS denies telling DM about.

TD is soon getting to the part where AJ told him he called CS about TB's truck I believe and why AJ and SS argued about it. It'll be tense. TD is doing a phenomenal cross, IMO.

All MOO.

ETA I see we're thinking the same thing puppyraiser. :)

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 18s18 seconds ago
Taking windshield out is easiest way to change VIN number. Can trade VIN number in #Bosma truck.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 34s35 seconds ago
That would make it easy to change the VIN number? Dungey says. Schlatman agrees but says there are VINs elsewhere on vehicles as well #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 2m2 minutes ago
Schlatman says he asked why truck was stripped. Millard brushed him off. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Schlatman says DM "brushed off" his Qs about why interior was stripped. Schlatman agrees stripping would take a signif amount of time #Bosma

Colin Butler ‏@ColinButlerCBC 1m1 minute ago
Schlatman says when he asked Millard about the truck he brushed him off: turned away and didn't answer. #Bosma

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 1m1 minute ago
Millard initially was smiling. Even chuckled at testimony. He is now sitting quietly. @AM900CHML #TimBosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 1m1 minute ago
#Millard wanted Schlatman to paint #Bosma truck red, & to take windshield off existing red truck. Easiest access to VIN plate.

Alex Pierson ‏@AlexpiersonAMP 47s47 seconds ago
SS says DM blew him off when he questioned Bosma truck. Tells jury it wld have taken time to strip it. @AM900CHML #TimBosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 45s45 seconds ago
Schlatman asked #Millard why #Bosma truck stripped, but boss brushed off question.

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 41s41 seconds ago
Did you not say what am I going to do with this windshield when I take it out? D asks.
No I did not, SS says. #Bosma

Lisa Hepfner ‏@HefCHCHNews 53s54 seconds ago
Schlatman says windshield in red truck was in perfect condition. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 44s44 seconds ago
Dungey: that's the 7th and the 8th. TB went missing the 6th. Are you telling the jury you didn't know anything about the case? #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 23s23 seconds ago
Schlatman says he did not. Dungey says it was the biggest case in the region, all over the news. #Bosma

Susan Clairmont ‏@susanclairmont 11s11 seconds ago
Schlatman didn't ask why perfectly good windshield was being taken out of red truck...Says he didn't know anything on May 8 about #Bosma.
