What was going on in September 2014? The preliminary hearing for the murder of Tim Bosma. Maybe this is the reason she stopped going?

The preliminary inquiry into the murder of Tim Bosma is set for September 2014, court officials decided Tuesday afternoon.


Crown attorney Craig Fraser told the courtroom Tuesday that Sept. 8 is the "first available date that is convenient to all" while Dellen Millard, one of the two men suspected of murdering Bosma, was on the courtroom TV screen for his appearance.


The inquiry is expected to last about eight weeks.

Except that never happened because of the direct indictment...

Not sure how a witness in the case was able to freely visit him the six times prior but maybe at some point someone said something? Are all those visits recorded? Somehow I don't think so. And according to MH when she visited him, he was even put into a private visitation room with the guard outside the door.

And apparently the other two murder charges for WM and LB didn't deter her either as they were laid in Oct 2013.

The flashy lawyer departed the case when Dellen Millard's accounts were frozen.

Well whatever happened, it was over a couple of days of strange happenings where the media was also barred from the proceedings IIRC. Didn't the media fight to get the transcripts of those days?

LW: Hi Dellen, I need to know what your guess as to what the yearly gross payroll will be for 2013. One total including you in it and another total not including you in it.

LW: For millard properties

DM: I estimate

DM: have we filed MA eht and/or wsib?

LW: MA EHT was filed for March 2013 but no form for April but would be zero because no payroll. MP EHT was filed for 2012, they file year behind.
MA WSIB was closed and MP WSIB we need to clear up the 2009 payroll that they need so they can clear up the monthly charges they are charging you for not filing 2009. MP WSIB was filed for year 2013, they file year ahead.

There was a huge sex ring computer seizure reported in the news back around 2014. Anyone remember this? No names were mentioned and I never seen anymore about it.
The only case that keeps coming up for me, is one that was investigated between Toronto and Waterloo LE. 34 computers were seized.
I just don't believe that a few personal computers or a DVR would qualify this case as "largest computer seizure in the history of Ontario's criminal courts history" I could be wrong though??

No, it is only the hangar that is sold, the M's still hold the company - it's just that the company has no employees or building.

The seizure you refer to is tied to a pedophile ring, I believe, part of LE's Project Spade.

Hi Matou: Even if a company has no active business operations, it is my understanding unless it is sold or dissolved completely, it can be used to accept deposits and make payments, and as SnooperDuper and Jash suggest in subsequent posts, only the hanger lease was sold, and MB was likely being paid by MP, and not MA, though I'm not sure. The texts between DM and LW seem to support that view, IMO. And since MB was put in charge of these companies, IMO, she would be entitled to take a draw, IMO.

In any case, the MA hanger lease was sold in April 2015, but I don't think that MA has actually closed the company since, as far as I know.

Yes, that seems to be the only case that comes up in my searches (and it doesn't say its Ontario's largest seizure). I don't think that was the one in The news back in 2014 that I'm thinking of.

What I find interesting about this article (April 2015) is how CW describes the use of the hangar for its new tenants. ""For a lack of a better term it's a hotel for airplanes," airport general manager Chris Wood said Thursday."

And it is also the description used in this interview with DM from Dec. 2013.

I wonder if CW will testify about whether or not DM or his representatives ever discussed any plans or proposals with CW for the MA hangar to become a hotel for airplanes, prior to May 2013? If so, I wonder if evidence will show that any legitimate efforts were made by MA to bring such a plan to life, pre May 2013?
Does the fact that the hangar was leased at a later date to a company who actually uses it as a hotel for airplanes, give credence to the suggestion by DM that this was his plan all along for the MA hangar in the future?

Sure DM had plans to turn the hangar into a hotel for planes, and that's fine. It would be much less lucrative than the MRO though.

Where DM gets into trouble is that the bank loaned him $3.7 M for equipment for the hangar, and then he decided to leave the hangar empty and rent it out as a shell and keep the millions.
