GUILTY

He did it folks.

He is confessing now.

He said he is in fact guilty!

He admitted he strangled his wife and dumped her body off of Fielding Drive.

He GAVE UP his children!!

He is a murdering COWARD.

YES, he admitted it!! And YES, he did it! The cold-hearted empty man that he is. He admitted to choking her and to dumping her body (think about that -- just like an empty hamburger wrapper, he dumped the mother of his children.) And he gave up the girls he fathered. Soul-less. His own flesh & blood. I am thankful that the girls are absolutely safe and surrounded by love and caring. They are happy girls, I'm sure, and that's exactly what Nancy would have wanted. She breathed her last breath, I am sure, while thinking about her little girls.

Why wouldn't they give him back his phone and computer?

Perhaps because those were part of his 'murder kit'? That would be like giving back the knife to the guy who stabbed someone to death IMO.

I don't see how anyone can really spin this? I just hope that NC daughters will have some memory of her and that the Rentz's will continue to help keep her memory alive with the girls.

Why would he even ask for those?? It's not like he is walking out of prison today...........

Is that the law? Personal property is not returned to criminals?

Why did he want those devices returned? It's not like you can use them in prison. Interesting. Loved the judge's response.

Why does the State need them? Why won't they turn them loose?

So who gets the fun job of escorting Brad out of the country in 6-ish years? He was here on a work visa and Cisco dumped him.

I wish part of the plea deal was immediate deportation upon completion of his sentence, as in, not even one step outside the prison door as a free man.

I'm sure that would be fine with him.

I must admit, I have really mixed emotions about this.

He admitted that he committed the crime. He also, as part of the plea, gave up his children to be adopted by Nancy's family.

I am still not 100% convinced that he is guilty, but I'm certainly no longer convinced that he is innocent. There are two reasons why I am not 100% convinced that he is guilty. 1) He had incentive to take the deal even if he didn't commit the crime, both for his future and for his kids. 2) There are facts in the case that still do not add up, as I documented earlier.

But, that being said, I have to accept the real probability that he did commit the crime. I cannot imagine an innocent man telling his kids that he killed their mother. And that is what he did.

I was confused about the devices. Why would he want them? They are antiquated now, and in a few years they will be relics. There is something strange there.

Anyway, it is over. The exculpatory evidence is going to bother me for a long time.

But, I am happy for the Rentz's and for the daughters. They are the innocent victims in this whole ordeal, and they can move on with their lives.

Why would they need to be present to collect the items? No mail service in Canada?

Again, why would you even think a murderer should be given back his murder kit? Are the families of other murders given back their weapons of choice? Did the family of the unibomber ask for his bomb making materials back?
