Did they even have dna for that victim? That alone would rule him in or out? Possibly he didn't own the gun used, have access for some reason with the others, or even lost it, used it in a case we're not aware of and disposed of it. LE has described this suspect as a predator of opportunity and if that is the case imo it will be an anything goes, anyway he can and anybody...

you're right, strach....there's no way to know that he won't change up his MO...saw a profiler the other night on TV, & she pretty much said the same thing you have....they don't always stick w/the same routine.....ever since the Oct 22nd attack was mentioned, LE has said over & over that they haven't discounted it as being related.....whether it is or not, there's something that makes them think it is, regardless of a gun being used...maybe something he said, or the way he did something that was similar to the other assaults....

not sure if a link was posted or not, but i know someone posted the rumor here.....there's no telling where it is now in all these threads though....i don't even remember what was happening with the case when this was brought up, or i'd try to find it for you......
 
hey !.....waaaaay O/T but it's something that just now popped into my head after looking at a link you posted..."biggest little city in Nevada"......do you ever happen to see Trudy, Jones, Clementine, Dangle, or any of the bunch from Reno 911?:p
i absolutely love that show....i even bought the movie, & want the whole show on DVD for my birthday, lol.......i do believe they film there in Reno...just wondered if it's a big hit there, & if yall ever see any of the characters....
 
I thought of mutilation of some form, not the current rumor however.

ETA: With the current info about the killers dna not being on those PP underwear I can say that I think it's possible that Brianna's is.
 
or someone else in the Reno area,

There was a body found in Henderson near Sunset Park on Feb. 29th. Not many details, only that they are having trouble with ID because of the shape the body is in and that it is that of a small person, but not a child. I was wondering if someone local has heard anything. I know we've already discussed that Henderson is quite a drive from Reno, but it sounds like this UID could have been there for some time. It's a possible connection.

Thanks anyway. I guess I will search through the threads starting after Bri was found. Maybe I can find it. Also, I have seen some passing references to one of the victims having both of her ankles broken, but I'm not really sure if that is a rumor or there has been a media report, etc. Could someone fill me in on that? Thanks again.
 
Both of those things were posted by a commenteron Craigslist out of Reno. If you check there you still might be able to find the post they made.

Brianna's may be on them also, but all LE has stated is that the DNA on the thong is from an unknown male & an unknown female...

The victim in the October attack didn't come forward and report her rape until after Brianna was abducted. I believe she came forward about January 30th. By then, three months had elapsed since her attack, and the possibility of any DNA evidence had long passed.

With the statement by LE that they believe there's a connection between the October attack and the Nov. and Dec. attacks, I think LE must have other evidence or the suspect fits the profile in other ways. When the perp is arrested, the October victim will either be able to identify him or will reject him as her attacker.

rumor also, about ankles being broken...could be true, but for now, it's rumored...

i was curious, so i tried to find it....didn't see anything other than one person talking about it might be true & it might not be....i stopped searching at that point...

i remember reading something about the family saying that they thought, or they were thankful, that Brianna didn't suffer, or something along those lines........i hope they got a good source for that information & it's true....
 
With the absence of LE stating the condition of Brianna's body or describing other evidence collected from the scene where her body was found, there's bound to be rumors. This may be a large part of why LE is calling a press conference tomorrow with an update on the case.

If LE reports more about what is known it will dispel the rumors and hopefully provide the public with more information that will be helpful in finding the killer. The owner of the pink panther underwear hasn't come forward, and that may turn out to a dead end. She may never come forward.

Hopefully, tomorrow's presser may give more insight into this case.

Haha, no problem, close! You ask good questions. I could have sworn the lip comment came from craigslist, but I also could not find out this afternoon.

This presser is at 10 a.m. in Reno tomorrow, right? That's lunch time for me on the East Coast, so I plan to tune in.

This show is toooo funny! No, Reno 911 is not filmed in Reno, it is filmed So. Calif. they come here and take some footage of the Casino's, Freeway's etc. You can sometimes see palm Tree's in background. We do not have Palm Tree's here.
