I don't know why she does anything she does. I was simply trying to think of a reason why Billie would redecorate Hailey's room. I didn't hear Richie elaborate on how the room was done, only that he'd heard it was changed up.

I remember reading that Desiree has kept Kyron's room exactly as it was when he was last there (at her home in Medford). She goes into his room and smells his sheets and blankets, because she has never changed them.

In contrast, it seems like BD has simply moved on, she's erasing Hailey imo.

For those that follow Kyron's case, you will remember that his mother, Desiree, has not even made his bed from the last night that he spent with her. This is what a mother does.

I have a friend whose sons were messing around with a gun one day and the oldest one accidentally shot and killed the youngest one. The younger one had eaten at McDonalds earlier in the day and he had left his hamburger wrapper, the French fry container, and the empty cup in the room and to this day, it's still there. She refuses to throw it away. This was 13 years ago when this happened. She said she just can't part with it because that was one of the last things that he had touched.

That said, I think this is another one of those things that makes Billie look so completely guilty and it won't be soon enough for them to find Hailey and put her behind bars with her "awesome" boyfriend.

If Billie is not directly involved in whatever happened to poor Hailey, but has knowledge of what happened, and has helped Shawn in the cover up in any way, I think she could be charged as an accessory after the fact.

Unfortunately, I suspect that she has more than knowledge. I think she's involved, and that's why she's defended Shawn so vigorously, and has not assisted LE in any meaningful way.

That really makes more logical sense to me.

I keep saying it is their secrets that binds them together.

For some reason Billie feels she has to appease Shawn as if 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" sort of thing.

BDs behavior goes far and beyond than just being gaa gaa over Shawn... whom she knows... she will probably never be able to have a relationship with again.

Something is just amiss. Something is being hidden by BD and SA.

I'll have to go back and see if I can find the transcription, but didn't Connie Jones say something similar about Billie? I think it was in the BTH interview she did with her daughter.

RC must think something was fishy at Christmas or he wouldn't have made that comment.

I imagine under the circumstances, everything that happened in the days leading up to Hailey's disappearance has probably been discussed and analyzed by family members over and over again. I feel sorry for them, because hindsight is always 20/20, and I think there are probably a few family members that will always feel like they shoulda, coulda done more before this happened.

I keep thinking about the fight between CD and SA that took place in front of Gma Jones at her house. There would have to be a huge strain and many vibes in the environment with BD & SA over there.....even if SA was only in the front yard or on the doorstep. Maybe BD was being overly sweet to cover that incident or just trying to calmly control the situation to put everyone at ease.

As usual, I am way behind and catching up to you all. IIRC, the mattress on the floor was actually the box spring. The pics were after LE had searched the house and LE usually leaves a mess. Was the mattress out of camera range, is it missing, or did LE take it? We should bump up a thread and look at the pics again. I do remember the bed being put back together and nicely made days later. So the mattress came back or another one was brought in.

BBM My opinion is that I think it means "Fake and overly nice". Unusually friendly? A little over-the-top with affection? Like something was up between them? I wouldn't be at all surprised if what happened to Hailey was planned, as mentioned above. I can't shake the horrid thought that she was his Christmas 'gift' uke:

I couldnt touch my sons room when he left for college then 4 years later(2005) at age 22 he was killed by a drunk driver. It was 4 years later before I could clean out his room. I still had a hard time letting loose of his personal belongings many are boxed up and moved to the attic. The only thing that pushed me to clean out (in many short stages)and redecorate his room was my husband and I adopted 2 brothers. If we had not adopted Im thinking his room would still be like he left it in 2001.

Billie redecorating behavior is surprising to say the least..No a normal parents reaction. Why would she think that Hailey would want her room changed? She already knows she is not coming home

I can't shake that thought either. For some reason I have this theory that BD sacrificed Hailey to SA. I know it's sickening to think about. But this whole case has always reminded me of Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo here in Canada.

Remember BD said that "everyone pretty much got what they wanted at Christmas"? Not verbatim but pretty close.

I think she is painting and fixing the house up to sell if she can get Clint to sign it over to her. She needs money for her attorney. She is desperate now and realizes the trouble she is in. Enough that she was so against letting Hailey live with her dad but she will now turn custody of both kids over to Clint for the house.

BBM. I think you might be right. But I think she is also trying to hide any evidence that might be in the places where HD would likely have been assaulted. Why start off remodeling the 2 rooms HD occupied the most?

And what's the point of keeping HD's room locked up now that's she's redecorated it? Usually people do that to preserve how it was before their loved one went missing.

Bless your heart!! I have been in your shoes only mine was hit by a 16 year old years ago. He wasn't drunk at least that is what we were told. Nothing she has done adds up.....I could not move a thing in my son's room for a very very long time...I even sent people back to the hospital to get me his clothes he had on at the time....sadly they washed them before returning those to me....or maybe that was a good thing....I smelled everything he touched. You never get over it. You just learn to live with it and go on.

OT: I am sorry for your loss Conniehu Sometimes it's reading a post like yours, on a day that I have had a 'trying' time with one of my sons, to realize that there are many parents out there that would beg for the chance to have one last 'trying' day with their child.

As for Billie changing Haileys room, I am hesitant to believe anything until I see it in this case. BUTTTTT .... in regards to Haileys room, if I don't see BD with a news crew in Hailey's room by tomorrow to dispute what was said, I think I will have to believe it. BD is all about correcting anything that is said about her that she thinks is wrong. This one will be easy for her if it's wrong, just let the camera's in too see

It's frustrating to watch CD and his family struggle with whether BD could have been involved. They think she is involved with CP, but at the same time don't believe she would hurt Hailey. As an outsider looking in that doesn't make sense. So she only hurts other peoples children by viewing pics of them being victimized, but wouldn't hurt her own? It's amazing how we as people can rationalize the irrational.
