Hi all! I've been lurking for months, but IrishMist...have a story about chinese food for ya...
Me and MIL were in chinese restauant with my 3 year old. MIL was asking the waitress what kind of meat was in a particular dish, well sonny boy blurted out very loudly, "It prolly cat". The look on that waitress' face was priceless  , not to mention other diners scrutinizing their plates a little closer.
That's priceless!! I wonder what on Earth made him think that?

I have heard of wanting to add a personal touch to fast food, but that's just carrying it too, too far.
*GAG*

No print match yet for finger found in chili
Tests to be done for preservatives; DNA may reveal race, sex

Law enforcement specialists have lifted a fingerprint from the human digit found last week in a bowl of Wendy's chili in San Jose, but a search of fingerprint databases has so far failed to match the finger with its original owner, Santa Clara County authorities said Thursday.

But the sleuthing has just begun, and additional tests are under way to unravel the mystery of where the finger came from and at what point it entered the food supply.

So I heard today they are thinking the lady planted the finger herself! They have a search warrant for her home. Her son suggested it might be the finger of a dead aunt! To be continued...

OH and this too!

In another development, Wendy's on Thursday offered a $50,000 reward for the first person to provide verifiable information leading to the origin of the finger.

I guess the son is not too welcome in her home anymore.

I wonder if the search warrant is asking for her DNA. This would
connect the two if the aunt was her sister (the son's aunt)
or her mother's sister (her aunt). Pretty gruesome if true....

04/07/05 5:45 PDT SAN JOSE (BCN)

A spokeswoman for the San Jose Police Department today confirmed that investigators flew to Las Vegas and served a search warrant in connection with the severed finger found in a bowl of Wendy's chili in San Jose last month.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) -- The woman who claims she bit into a human finger while eating chili at a Wendy's restaurant has a history of filing lawsuits -- including a claim against another fast-food restaurant.

Anna Ayala, 39, who hired a San Jose attorney to represent her in the Wendy's case, has been involved in at least half a dozen legal battles in the Bay Area, according to court records. She brought a suit against an ex-boss in 1998 for sexual harassment and sued an auto dealership in 2000, alleging the wheel fell off her car. That suit was dismissed after Ayala fired her lawyer, who said she had threatened him.
