Thanks Lilibet. I never read this thread. I was only familiar with one of the other connected threads. I hope they catch Daniel and Janeth as well.

But I think nelly and anna was on the outs for a while. An just started hanging out again per annas facebook posts.

So I wonder if nelly was setting her up but pretending to be friends again with her. Idk.
 
Heard something else on the NBC News7 at 11 p.m., but can't find an article stating it yet. I barely caught the full tidbit as I was checking out lipstick colors online. Anyways, Daniel was apparently wanted for a petty theft charge before Anna's murder. It looks like he has a warrant if his birthdate is 7/28/1996, but I didn't find any details.

I have been all over Anna's Facebook and I haven't seen any posts regarding Nelly. Where did you see they were friends? Rumour on SM says they weren't friends. Maybe I missed it, lol.

I haven't seen anything about Nelly on Anna's FB either. But MSM indicated they were friends IIRC. Maybe that's what Dexter is referencing. Someone was also quoted in MSM early on saying they were cousins, and I've never seen that mentioned again. My sense is that Janeth and Nelly were pretty close, but that would be rumor too, except that LE indicated they might be together. It's a tangled web for sure.
 
This headline Police continue search for two suspects in teen murder and a few comments in the video seem to indicate that Janeth is now being considered a suspect. Also the video has some more info that seems to confirm that it was Nelly that was taken into custody. (The article does not appear updated, but the video is new from last night.)

Thank you for posting this! Definitely looking forward to the next segment (I'm interested to watch the interview with the friend who is willing to go on record in defense of Anna....)

ITA, the voiceover does appear to allude to the involvement of certain parties (without actually coming right out and saying so). That's a risky approach, isn't it? :cow:

Until we have some sort of confirmation from LE, there's a whole lot we don't know (and in this case, they're the only source I'm 100% comfortable with JMO)

Although Anna's murder may seem spur-of- the-moment and badly planned, especially where the remains were left and people running off almost calling more attention to themselves, this could still be a premeditated murder. As far as I understand from beginning reports, Anna was beaten first, then shot. She may have been lured into the situation. In other words, IMOO, it didn't just happen by accident.

Where's Janeth? Where's Daniel? Hope LE is closing in on their location(s). Janeth seems to have escaped detection for awhile now, if she's actually still alive. I think so.

Just the thoughts I having while we wait.
 
Confirmed by news stations in San Diego this morning (I heard it on KUSI), Nelly is the juvenile in custody and will be in court this morning.

I wonder how MSM is justifying releasing her name. Interesting. I look forward to further facts about this case. I hope DF And JM are found soon.
 
The KUSI reporter actually used her name this morning. Other stations in San Diego are saying "the juvenile that was escorted across the border on November 27th will be in court this morning." Very tragic for lives to be cut short like this.

Thanks. Glad you shared what you heard on the news. This is just the kind of case where you might hear things on the news, but it's hard to find it in print right away.

I don't know what to think...I guess this means Nelly may not have been Anna's good friend after all?

What happened to the ole "you're not my friend anymore"? That's fickle, but whoa, Anna is dead found almost in Nelly's backyard which I classify as more than just fickle.

Who is this young girl Nelly? How mentally and street smart is she? I'm considering if somehow Nelly was forced to take part in a plan of revenge by others. Daniel is 19 yrs. old. What's he doing around these 12 and 14 yr. old girls anyways?
