I don't understand the geography well there, so apologies for the confusion. I suggested the house as the starting point and mines "close by" either side. Meaning, extending to the area where they stopped to hike. I seem to be having difficulties explaining this, LOL. The radius would have the house as the epicenter, the extending range on either side an equidistance. This is the radius I would start with, and look in to mines not too far off road, but with some "sneaky" inlet road. I'm heading out for the day. If I can find a better map to visualize my hypothesis, I will mark and post. Off to the great outdoors! And no, not hiking!

• Can LE confirm RT's statement to Inside Edition that he showed deception on a polygraph?
• Can LE confirm that they found evidence of BT actually having been at that search location that day?
• Can LE confirm when and where the last independent sighting of BT took place that day, i.e., someone. other than RT?

I wonder if they normally took the dog and that she was simmering due to him telling her she had to drop the dog.

Barbara Thomas last seen 8:10 AM by staff at the Kennel where the dog is kept when they leave town.
Staff relayed Barb seemed aggravated and angry. Far from her usual friendly-self.
I didn't get a clothing description and didn't think to inquire.

Many people are asking what has become of Lexie and I don't have any clear answer. The kennel reports she is fine to the best of their knowledge.

Neighbors have only ever seen Barbara walk the dog. I should add, when she was walking the dog is the only time they ever saw Barbara without Robbie.

Barbara is an experienced dog owner and I really don't believe she would want to take a dog into the desert in roasting temperatures for five days. In cooler conditions, yes, but not in the current climate.

I'm not even sure how many crevices or other places there are that someone could be out of sight or out of reach from searchers. Imo

A good question would be where is the dog right this minute?

Somehow I can't see a 72 year old man dragging a body, in all that heat, to a mine.

I also don't see him driving off-road without first un-hitching the fifth wheel. Those dual tire tracks would be rather tell-tale, IMHO. Remember in the Erin Corwin case, investigators matched up the tire tracks. MOO

I'm pretty sure we determined in thread #1 (possibly #2?) that there were no mines within 1/4 mile from where the RV was presumably parked, if that helps. MOO

I don't remember reading anywhere that the planned trip was 5 days, either.
I think we're going to need a link for that, unless db can confirm it as a VI.

In fact, I don't remember RT saying anything about their intended itinerary, e.g., where they were headed once they left that spot, how many days they planned to be gone, etc.

The kennel would have had some idea of how long BT intended to be gone based on the dates she arranged for her doggie to be boarded there and the date she gave them for intended pick-up.

I'm pretty confident LE will have interviewed the kennel employees who saw/spoke with BT that morning.
That would be another good question for a reporter to ask LE, though, @PommyMommy:

• Can LE confirm they've spoken with the kennel staff who were working the morning BT was last seen?
