Hey! Maybe my email to them did some good! :)
Well, no matter what made them do it, I'm glad they did.

Official search going on now. LE variety. May have found something of "evidentiary value". Hmm...

Would you be willing to tell us what email you mean?

Yep! Posted this on the previous page.

When Hasanni disappeared, I contacted the Front Office of the Oakland Athletics baseball team. I told them that little Hasanni was missing, sent his details and his picture (and NCMEC poster), and asked if they wouldn't mind putting him up on the big screen / jumbotron at some point during some upcoming games. They agreed.

I'll contact them again for Daphne.

I don't know why we don't do this more often. NOT an e-mailing "campaign" by any means. But just having one person contact any major sports teams in the area a child is missing. We always think of post offices, gas stations, bus stops, restaurants, etc. But professional sports leagues (even minor leagues) could get their information out too. What's the worst that can happen? They say no or ignore it. Not any worse off than we were before... I'll let you know if I hear back.

A google search of "Daphne Webb Amber Alert" still takes people to the broken link I mentioned in my OP. I'm not sure what the deal is with the amberalert.com site and the SEO optimization issues. I've been in contact with the family/site administrator at FindBabyDaphne.com, so they are aware of the issue. I have been tweeting and RTing the NCMEC URL to help bump the visibility of #BabyDaphne's #AmberAlert to help keep her name & story at the forefront.

This was definitely a learning experience for me. Since I posted about it upthread (as a question), I thought I'd share what I found.

As other #AmberAlerts cycle in & out of the media spotlight, Daphne continues to remain "The Other Amber Alert" that has yet to be resolved.

I truly hope today's search brings her home!

Oakland: Missing toddler Daphne Webb search concludes

As anxious family and friends of toddler Daphne Webb stood by at Oakland's Merritt College on Saturday morning, a team of about 45 investigators with search dogs spent about five hours scouring new areas in an effort to find the missing 22-month-old.

They turned up nothing.

"We are done with this area for now," said Oakland police Sgt. Mike Gantt, the department's lead investigator on the case. "We do have one more location we are going to search in the future."

Dozens of law enforcement officials scouring an open space area near Oakland’s Merritt College came up empty as the search for a toddler missing since early July continues.

About 45 investigators and volunteers — along with six cadaver dogs and a helicopter circling above
— spent several hours Saturday searching an area of parkland and trails west of the college for evidence that might help them determine what happened to 22-month-old Daphne Webb.

This case is another one that hits me hard. I am hoping someone took her because they desperately wanted a baby of their own. I am also hoping that right now she's listening to a bedtime story before being tucked into bed.

Unfortunately - inside - I know the above is not the case. Hopefully soon - someone's guilt eats them up and they decide to be truthful about what happened. Until then, I don't think it is likely that she will be found.

Why cadaver dogs and why this area, I wonder?

Come home baby girl !

Davis-Webb's father on Saturday said his daughter, who is five months pregnant with a baby girl with John Webb, has been in contact with Webb during the past week.

"On one hand, she's trying to be a good wife," he said. "But at the same time, she's trying to be a wife to a person of interest in this case."

BBM, and IMHO
I had heard she was pregnant, but didn't hear it said that it was Webb's baby. I know that mom had legal restraints on seeing Daphne, so maybe Webb wanted to be able to see his wife without all the legal mess, especially now that she was pregnant. Maybe he wanted to start over with a new baby that didn't have any restrictions on the wife. This makes me so sad. At least the maternal grandfather can see straight. IMHO

This story breaks my heart! I hope and pray that Daphne is found soon!

Bumpity bump - any news/searches anything?????

Not a peep about this case... I think the person that did this was local enough to remember the Hasanni Campbell case very well. After a few months, the case just goes away. So sad.
