He thought maybe she ran out of gas or had a flat and someone picked her up.
He had short hair, he was short.

She had a sandy hair, short pony tail.
Dark ball cap. Not vibrant.

His window was down. He was short. He didn't think something was wrong. Could have been a Marine hair cut.
Light colored hair. Brand new car (red one). Nothing forced got in willingly.

He wished he wouldn't have done something knowing what he knew now.

Her car was towards the base. He was parked towards the casino.

I didn't want you to think I am ignoring you la2cabo.

Right after I said I would try to find the link for you our daughter-in-law called and said that the Lee County Sheriff's Department came by her place of business and told them to lock their doors because a 54 year old man who is considered armed and dangerous was spotted walking in the area.

She called me because we don't live too far from where her Salon is. Then she called back and said he had been spotted closer to my area instead of where she is.:scared: Ever since then nothing but cops coming up and down our road and the police helicopter and another plane have been going back and forth over our subdivision. I don't think they have caught him yet. Just heard the heli go over again.

This is big news to us:D since we live in a area where crime never happens. They still haven't said what the man has done wrong though but about three different agencies are in on the manhunt so it must be something serious.

Anyhoo. I don't know if someone put up the link for you already or not but if they haven't I will look for it now.

Sorry for the long delay.
Oh my! I hope you and your family are safe! Take care!

Witness was almost in tears at the end about how painful it would be losing a daughter and grandchild.
He has a 19 year old himself.

I believe him wholeheartedly after listening to this.

Thanks, Knox!

Not exactly word for word but I will type as I listen:

"Girl gets out of the car had on little ball cap, glasses and a little ponytail. She got on the passenger's side, did something, like locked the door or something, red car Kia or Accent 4 door"

BBM - did Erin wear glasses? Are we sure this was Erin? It may have been her car but someone else sure could have been driving it - someone's wife perhaps?

JC may have known about the red car from LE, and chose not to tell his family, maybe.

That is exactly what I think has happened. We have to remember Erin is an adult and a married woman so Jon would be the first that is told anything that LE is going to tell or ask about because legally he is her next of kin. He has known about the red car since the day her car was found, imo.:( What a heavy burden for a young man to carry.

So they most likely have told Jon not to say anything to anyone about anything he knows, including Erin' family as well as his own.

Witness was driving into town to pick up balloons, so drove by them. Guy was not wearing a hat. He wasn't a buff Marine. He was little. Witness is 5'9" and the guy in car looked shorter than that.

I don't quite get the position of his car. At a right angle to the blue car.

There are lots of photos on her FB account with glasses on

BBM

I never questioned him or his sister's story. What both of them have said made sense from the get go and didn't seem made up at all to me.

They have to be very sad knowing that Erin is probably dead.:(

I am sure there is footage of her coming out of the base gate that morning too.

I think it was Erin leaving the base and the person getting into the red car.

I wonder if Erin has prescription sun glasses or if can drive with just sunglasses?

Thank you fab.

The helicopters are still going overhead.

That worries me because it makes me think the police think he has gone into someone home and they may be held hostage or maybe they aren't home from work yet. There aren't any empty homes here. That is the only thing I can think of why they continue to look for him in our neighborhood. This has been going on now for almost 4 hours so they seem to be sure he is in this area.

I am not afraid though....just cautious. I did get my pistol out and loaded it just in case. My hubby will be home soon anyway and we have two doggies that bark at their own shadow so they would alert me if he was near our home.

IMO

True. But I google mapped it, and the building appears to be right near the town's only hotel. Perhaps hotel was rendezvous spot, but someone just noticed the abandoned building? I don't know, it also doesn't seem like they would go meet right in town when there are so many private places around there. So probably no connection.

29 palms has lots of hotels and motels.

I think his eyewitness account is going to hinge on whether any survellience photos show her wearing a baseball cap and a short ponytail. He wouldn't have known that unless he had actually seen her. I really hope they have her on camera leaving the base.

Describes the red car as a newer four door sedan, red, like a Kia, Hyundai or Honda.

I really don't think it will make or break it since this was at 10am and she left around 7am. She could have put the cap on when she got to the park. She went somewhere for three hours so it must have been the park I would think. She may have had the cap in the car with her.

But I do feel they do have footage of her leaving the base and that is why the Marine Corps turned over the footage of the base during this time frame to the investigating officers.
