It isn't shut down for me. I can only see the profile and the cover pictures but the account was not deleted. I can't see much on Sarah's either. I was never able to see any of the posts y'all have been mentioning so, I don't really know.

You are right, neither is deleted, but Jen's only has the profile, while Sarah has a few public pics still. Maybe no settings have changed in FB and it has always been set to private and friends only and friends of friends and that is where various posts are coming from. I admit, I'm not a hardcore FB user.

I will share a CPS story about my son and us.
When he was 4ish we lived in a building where there was two buildings. His bedroom looked out to the other buildings balconies.
Anyhow. My son was being pretty mouthy typical behaviour of a worked up child before dinner. He wouldn’t listen to anything I said or his father said. His father finally picked him up brought him to his room and spanked him. Not bare bum. Only one open hand spank. All was over and done with. Daddy and his boy talked after. My son said sorry to me. We went on with dinner.
A knock on the door a few hours later. The police! A neighbour saw the spanking and called. We allowed the police to come in. I had no clue what my rights were but I was scared!
They questioned us and my son.
All was good. Next day I was at work and my sons father just picked him up from school. CPS was at our door. Ian allowed them in and they spoke with my son and Ian.
A few days later we got a letter from CPS saying our case was closed and spoke about techniques to avoid using physical violence. All was done.
But I was scared. We were really young. We had my son at 17. I know my story is nothing like this. But I’m so glad someone did call the police although I was upset at first.

LOL. My "no solicitors" sign works fairly well, so if someone is there, I answer the door, presuming that the visit is important. Usually, it is someone who totally ignores the sign...to whom I read the riot act! The absolute, hands down WORST offenders are those "missionaries" who try to argue that they are not "soliciting"..... JMO

Why when in the beginning on day one when Abigail gives police a statement that it was Jennifer who administered the beating is it ignored? The following day Sara and Jennifer are interviewed togeather by police (with plenty of time to put togeather a phony confession) Sarah lies. Did no one collaborate why the discrepancy? Something is really evil about how LE totally ignored this gigantic red flag? There is protocol that must be followed when a school notifies LE of child abuse. Why???

I apologize for quoting myself but I want answers.
:maddening:
Quote from 'People' text:

"During police questioning, Sarah admitted to letting her “anger get out of control” and spanking her daughter the day before, according to the criminal complaint against her. But according to the Oregonian, it was Jennifer whom Abigail said had hit her."

Here is the smoking gun that it was Jennifer that was the sadistic partner. Sara's statement to police later on about administering the beating should have been compared to what was told to them the previous day. Abigail an eye witness the day pior said that it was Jennifer. Abigail spoke the truth to the police in her statement that it was Jennifer that caused the skin bruising trauma and pain.It was just as we thought all along Jennifer was a monster. The part none of us can imagine is how could a partner enable a sick monster like Jennifer brutally torture her family. The only answer I have read that remotely makes sick sense of it 'is that they love their abuser'. Also another part is they are afraid the abuser will turn on them too and then they become the punching bag both physically and verbally. Most illusive to me at least is there is a piece that binds them to their abuser that is so monstrous that it is the stuff of nightmares.
This is my opinion only.I use strong adjectives to describe my horror at the abuse.

Ugh...sounds like the search is now recovery :( Altho I'm not surprised. Jenn wouldn't have gone off the cliff if they weren't all together.

April 6 (Reuters) - Three children missing since their mother drove their vehicle off a California cliff are believed to be dead and search operations are now focused on recovering their bodies from the Pacific Ocean, police said on Thursday.

Interviews with relatives and friends suggest all six of the family's children were inside the sports utility vehicle when it plunged off a coastal cliff last week, police said in a statement.

MENDOCINO, Calif. — The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office believes all six Hart children were inside the family's SUV when it crashed off the coast of California.

"Information obtained through interviews with family and friends indicated it was rare for the family to be apart, especially while traveling. That information coupled with the other children being recovered outside of the vehicle on (March 26, 2018) supports the possibility that the missing children were swept away from the crash scene by the Pacific Ocean," the release said.

"The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office will continue to focus a majority of our resources searching with this theory in mind until other information or leads suggestion otherwise."

Hope people won´t be mad at me for saying this, but....
Black children, white mothers.

Yes, that´s right!
Being interested in crime is basically like an education on what to avoid, do and not do to stay safe.

Mainly women are interested in True Crime, and I heard this theory from someone, that basically we are educating ourselves to stay safe.

As to having your FB shut down, you can do that in facebook settings....you select a contact to have control over your FB if you die, then they can deactivate your page.

We've had it reported on other crime threads on WS, that after a death, family members can request FB shut down
the victim's fb. So maybe, since Jen's family might suspect she was a party to this crime, maybe they requested it.

Hard to know, but my guess is because the only witnesses were minors who were coached to tell the narrative given them by their moms. At least one of the interviews (2008/Hannah incident or 2010/Abigail) had siblings agreeing with the moms that "she [the victim] always lies"--or telling contradictory accounts at best.

Sad. Guess they know what they are talking about.
One thing I am really surprised about is that no one saw the kids during that trip.
It was a long trip, they would have had to go outside the van several times.
Easy to spot six kids, harder to spot three - that wouldn´t stand out so much.

Something else: Notoriety? Isn´t that a negative word?

"The missing children include 15-year-old Devonte Hart, who gained notoriety in 2014 after being photographed hugging a white police officer at a protest after the fatal police shooting of a young black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri."

I'm sorry, but these family and friends quoted here have not seen this family in 'how long? How would they know what

the family habits were in the last year or two. How would these family or friends know the kids were starving or being

beaten or held prisoner? They wouldn't. Family and friends want these two women to die in peace and save their

reputation. End of rant.

I hope that they thoroughly investigate this forensically. There had to have been a lot of glass and blood, if 6 people were thrown from the vehicle, unless they all were ejected out doors. Much of the blood and glass may have washed away, but not all. If they can find blood on glass or the rocks that belongs to any of the 3 missing, they can be that much closer to concluding that the 3 were victims of the crash and washed out to sea. It just seems odd to me that there is no sign of the 3, to date. No torn clothing, shoes, hair, etc? Very strange. JMO

If Devonte was expecting CPS, if neither Jen nor Sarah were home when CPS knocked on the door, why wouldn't Devonte answer the door?

If Jen was home and CPS were only called on the Friday (according to Dana Dekalb) how did Jen know to not answer the door?

Wondering, does CPS show up in a marked vehicle? And, are the officers dressed in plain clothes or a uniform?

I can't imagine what the next few days were like for these kids. And to leave animals at home to perish?

Someone posted a thought about maybe Devonte somehow ran away, with the missing kids and dogs, maybe that afternoon, or maybe just before CPS showed up, --while Jen was out shopping? What if Jen thought CPS already took the missing kids? Or, the others confessed to knowing Devonte had been to the neighbors? They didn't return, and she bolted with the rest in a panic? She figured if the missing kids were returned they would take care of the animals? Devonte seems especially devoted to the one dog, and in another photo he's reading with a chicken by his side. I also wonder if Jen threatened to give the dog away as punishment and that kicked Devonte into high gear with the neighbors?

I know it is a total hope against hope scenario... But these kids did have some experience camping in nature. Without knowing their neighborhood maybe some befriended someone else? Who mistakenly is protecting them? Because extraordinary things can happen like the Turpin child managing to escape and dial 911.

It is odd that three bodies, and two dogs, are gone without a trace thus far. And no debris has shown up either...

To be fair, we don't really know what they have or have not found at the site. There may be some indication all of the kids were there. There has not been a lot of information released at this point.

As of yesterday's news, there are 35 gas stations along the suspected route, so far NONE had been checked for

video or witnesses.

Because this crime involves 3 states, and numerous investigations of individuals, it is taking a long time to get the whole picture. Also when victims are suspected 'deceased', it is not a priority for LE.

Yep! And I am a single mom with a disabled young teen daughter.
