I think they found the dog outside somewhere, maybe on the sidewalk or in the parking area...and took him home to care for him. They did the responsible thing of having his chip scanned, so the owners could find him if they checked. Which her ex did.

It's been cleared up. The dog was found inside the building wandering around.

Heidi Planck disappearance: LAPD, family members ask for public's help in finding missing mother
In a puzzling twist, on the day Planck disappeared, her dog was found in the evening -- wandering around on an upper floor of a high-rise apartment building in downtown Los Angeles.

Bolded by me.

I noticed in all of the videos of her leaving her home with her dog the last time she is seen there, she is not carrying anything except a small purse. Yet, it is reported that her computer, phone are missing. I wonder when and how they disappeared. Did she leave the game and go back homeand pick them up and then go meet someone or meet them at the house? If she met them at the house then they would be on the same camera, wouldn't they? Oh, my brain hurts !
I wonder if it was it a missing laptop or a desktop computer?

If a laptop, she may have had it in the trunk of her car already?

I thought of this also, but wouldn't it be done more smoothly by the Feds so that LE and family would not be looking so desperately for her and keeping her name out there in the news? I can't reconcile that and also the way the dog was found, apparently abandoned with going into witness protection. But, on the other hand, it is easier for me think she may have gone underground herself without help. Where is her car?
I only know of one person who was put into witness protection. Her boyfriend ended up being majorly connected to a huge drug trafficking ring. She did not know at first, but when she found out she went to the feds because she knew he was about to be busted.

I don't know her but I know her Mom. And her immediate family does not know where she lives or what her name is, but they were told that she was in Witness Protection and testified against her bf. It has been 10 years and I don't know if she has seen her family because they never ever speak about it.

I don't either. It looks suspicious to me that there are SO MANY LLCs that she's running, or at least co-running, but maybe it's not suspicious at all.
IMO she is not running any of these companies. They are likely shell companies that exist solely on paper, and she is just the person who registers them, to disguise who really owns the companies, <modsnip>

As someone posted above, shell companies are very common when someone, or a public company, has a lot of different investment projects happening, to keep the assets/accounting/liabilities/corporate taxes, on each project separate, and potentially hard to trace back to one owner. They're often used to invest in projects abroad, and to hide assets in case of divorce, civil litigation, or for offshore tax havens.

No contact, ever, is one of the rules. I don’t think a witness *who followed the rules* has lost his life since the program began in 1971. Inside the witness protection program | CNN

I don't think any of us believe Heidi is a wealthy investor, she is titled as a "controller". That puts her in a position of "knowing" certain financial details. I'm still not sure any of this is related to her disappearance. But the FBI showing up to search her home with local LE, guns drawn, removing files, etc. Has some potential implications that can't be ignored.

I feel Heidi could perform her job without intimate knowledge of wrong-doing.

Hope + Flower is a luxury apartment building. It is a leasing/rental property. There are very high-end leases available, which I assume make up the very top floors.

There are 40 floors. The dog was found wandering around on the 28th floor. There would be medium to medium-high priced units on that floor, depending on the view and square footage.

DE lists units for $3000 to $23,000 a month. There is likely a separate/private elevator for the high-end units.

I also looked at the apartment building's website.

Does anyone else find it suspicious that Heidi set up many LLCs and didn't question the purpose? I don't think she was a blond airhead simply following orders. She's been at this too long. She's obviously well-paid: RR, new home, kid's private school, etc. What does her ex say about her employment? I fear she knew too much and was simply eliminated.
