I agree with this. Also, with the progression of likelihood from 1 -7, except with hunting accident at # 3. (There was no gun found in the tent).
As to the , these were relatively young professionals, likely with a mountain of student loan debt (mine is the size of a mortgage) and who just dumped tons of money into relocating to a pricey area.
She now has to raise the kids with one income, not two. Half the family income is gone.
And dealing with the horror and tragedy of homicide, well she will not probably be working for awhile.
Put it this way: All their friends, family, colleagues - people who know much more about their possible finances than we could - contributed hard and fast and a lot. Why would they if they thought there was no need?
As to the possibility of an altercation with someone, or as to the possibility of a targeted killing, we don't know that they don't have suspects. They sure as heck wouldn't tell us.
1. Hunting /shooting accident- It may be counter intuitive but the reality is its actually really hard to hit a person even when your trying let alone by accident. It would be like 1 rain drop falling out of the sky at the park and it hit him. Almost zero probability.
2. Suicide- Almost zero probability.
3. Accident- shot himself- Almost zero probability.
4. Some nefarious organization assassinated him- the conspiracy theory. This can go to the bottom of the probability list for now as well.
5. Domestic origins- wife/ love triangle: Just looking in from the outside it just doesn't fit. The whole thing hit me funny at first too. Both DRs so why? It was started by a family member. So probably thinking to herself I cant help. What can I do? IMO that's plausible.
6. Escalation of a previous altercation: Getting a little warmer maybe. Although I think we'd have a suspect. So a guy getting drunk/being loud maybe profanities. T asks/tells them to shut up. Guy acts or waits/broods then acts later in the night
7. Thrill killer: this is probably where we are at. So important to know what the firearm was.
