According to her, the delivery was made from one restaurant to another. Weird.
Okay, but originally I thought she made 2 deliveries... 1 to each. What did she deliver to the first one?

IDK, I mean it's a public podcast. Might generate more local publicity if I share it. More than likely media interest. It's all public record.
BUT, just not sure.

ETA the family is aware of the podcast
I say post it, after we "positify it" a bit.

No, according to family, she only went to those two. So it was like a delivery between restaurants or something????

Ojay, but originally I thought she made 2 deliveries... 1 to each. What did she deliver to the first one?

Then yeah, a pick up and drop off. That sounds legit.

From the looks of the pictures, her bmw was very old. I'm not victim shaming and don't know the mileage but honestly, you see BMWs in that condition for sale for 3500 out here. So just because someone drives an old BMW does not mean they are rolling in the drug money by any means.
There's a few Chinese restaurants in my area. They're all owned by the same family. So her making a delivery from one to another restaurant might not be as shady as some may assume. It's very possible that the restaurant owners knew each other and needed to trade goods but needed their own delivery drivers too deliver food so used post mates. Not everything has some nefarious purposes, it really could've been a legitimate delivery. Besides it's been said about 100 times that maricela wanted to always protect her little sister but yet some assume she would then bring her sister on some secret post mates drug deal???? That doesn't make sense to me.

Still on the fence about posting it with this text:

Nancy Grace is focusing on Maricela’s disappearance in her daily “Crime Stories” podcast. Monday’s episode features a discussion about the significance of Garcia’s past, specifically a drug arrest by the LAPD on January 13, 2016 — a year before her disappearance. CrimeOnline has confirmed with the Los Angeles district attorney that the charge was never prosecuted.

http://www.crimeonline.com/2017/01/...re-revelations-relevant-to-her-disappearance/

I think it appears detrimental to the public. Even though Nancy vehemently says it doesn't matter, anyone who doesn't listen to the podcast won't know that.
I haven't had anything to say on the FB page in awhile. Afraid public interest is going downhill fast. I need LAPD to bump her to critical missing. It's almost three weeks. It's very suspicious circumstances. What is it going to take?
Agreed, support that motion. Let's see what we can sort out tonight.....
Personally, I feel like we are far overdue for a personal WS case summary/eval.
Define confirmed known facts, define potential theories, crosscheck each theory by each fact.

I've been following but don't really post, but I followed Christina Morris case and on ID today they replayed an episode about her. Have you looked into contacting them (ID) for a Disappeared episode? They have their own PI who dug into the case. Just a thought.

What about:

Nancy Grace is focusing on Maricela’s disappearance in her daily “Crime Stories” podcast. Among the many possible reasons why Maricela is missing, Monday’s episode focuses on a past arrest that occurred a year to the day before she disappeared, and confirmed with the LA DA as never having been prosecuted.
<link here>

(You can add in a separate paragraph AFTER the link, your own opinion) New questions are raised, including the possibility that no record against Maricela may be an indication of cooperation putting her in harms way. (Then here say something extremely positive about Maricela's character, specifically her overpowering protective mode of her sister and how she would never leave her abandoned, in the dark, in the rain, with no way to get in the car, knowing her sisters phone had a low battery ).

I have looked into Disappeared but couldn't find a way to contact them. Also the series, Missing. If you can find a way, feel free to send her case or pass it along to me.
Siren, on the timeline and known facts, it will be at least Wednesday before I personally can do that. I'm really sorry. I lost several clients due to the time on Maricela and while definitely she is more important, I'm kinda in a bind and have to work :( I'm sorry. Anyone else can, tho.
I just point blank asked Sara about the podcast. Figured that was the best way to go. She is listening to it now and I will do whatever she says since I am just running the page for them.

ETA: Altho, actually GigTu had you posted that about twenty minutes ago, I would have gone for it :( You are so talented.

LOL, ty. Just got a message to the page. Unfortunately, she for some reason can't log in here yet, but reminded me of something. If anyone locally wants to hang flyers this weekend, Mr Mistivon and I will be hitting every methadone clinic, homeless shelter, hospital and motel that we can. Is there a way to compile a list of those within, say, 25 miles of reseda? Esp the meth clinics?

It's important to be transparent and honest, but we don't have to unnecessarily blow her out of the water. I mean, she was not prosecuted for a reason, and that reason could be because the charges were false, and actually just her being with her ex, who as it turned out was a drug dealer. There's a reason why he's an ex. He DID kidnap her and hold her hostage too. It could have all been just super bad luck. We just don't know.

Since she went to the church, maybe hang at some local churches too?

This PI accused me of taking money for the news stories. She accused me of doing anything to "sell a story" and told dad that I would get Maricela killed. THAT would be why they no longer talk to me. So, really. There's nothing I can do.
Oh wow. Take care of yourself. You've done all you can do (which has been a bunch!). Sometimes when people are scared and not sure whats happening, they tend to lash out. Hopefully they will realize what a valuable asset they have had.

Keep your head up. You've done good, hard work.

Misti - Thank you for all of your hard work and energy you've put in trying to find Maricela and keeping her in the spotlight. You've been wonderful. I'm saddened that you've been "pushed aside" I truly hope others push for answers as much as you have.

The number I have located for the PM corporate office is disconnected and the only other way to contact them is through CS on the app. I don't want that, I want to talk to their HR department. Can anyone else see what they can find, please, if you have time? I've looked but am hitting a wall
I work for DoorDash corporate office in SF. Postmates and Ubereats operate like DD. The drivers are independent contractors. They go through a background check, must have an operable car, insurance, clean driving record. There is an app where a driver can reserve a timeframe in advance (not necessarily in their "starting point,") but most of the time, they check the app to find "dashes." Then they go to that restaurant, check the order for accuracy, check off each item on the app, then the customer name and address pop up, and the driver delivers the order (Google Maps is a lifesaver.)

I tried dashing for a few weeks. If a Dasher refuses more than three dashes in a row, s/he is disconnected. There is a rating system based on three items (order acceptance, order completion, customer feedback). The pay is $6 per delivery + tips (most of the time the tips are paid by the customer on his/her credit card; seldom handed out in cash).

There is no telephone number for the company. Everything is done on the app. Customer service will call a dasher if there is an order problem but that is seldom. It is nearly impossible to even get hold of anyone in corporate. DoorDash has thousands of Dashers all over and is growing.

I can see her going out of her way for a pick-up or delivery. I once drove 13 miles in commute traffic to deliver a $5 burrito to a huge apartment complex with only the street number. The companies just want their orders delivered and give little credence to their drivers. Once in awhile, a driver receives a $100 order that is only a few miles from the restaurant.

The average annual earnings run from $5,000 to $8,000 depending on how active the driver is, so it's not a money maker. (And wear and tear and gas for their cars.)

I watched the MG GW exit video at the Mercury News last night and again tonight. Is this video available somewhere else on MSM? Is there a video of her entering GW? As Bornblest6 reports, the article leaves the reader with the idea that she was targeted. Does anyone have any insight on why her father and brother might feel this way? The brother reports that MG thought she was being followed. Any details on what she might have told him? The article was published January 19, 2017 and she went missing on the 12th so the family had time to develop a theory.

Then tonight I listened to 3 NG podcasts. One would not load for me. NG emphasized that the trip to GW was spontaneous and it was a first time visit for them. NG said they did not live nearby and left the listener to think that it was a just chance that MG went missing.

issues raised in NG podcasts - hope it's OK to list these
http://www.crimeonline.com/nancy/page/2/
mostly from 1/27/2017 date and reporter interview on "the walk"
sister - we were at the wrong place at the wrong time
LAPD has her phone - is it her phone?
Found choker - is it hers?
lights in GW parking lot have been replaced, much brighter now
fake video cameras on the church
new security guard (I'm not sure where)
family unable to get videos from neighboring business
LAPD needs to request videos
Posters are being taken down, not sure why
LAPD classified her as voluntarily missing, no foul play
not investigating because of hispanic surname?
not investigating because of "ghetto" location?
family arranged SAR dog
50 registered sex offenders (RSO) within 2 miles of GW
500 RSO in Reseda
Contrasted LE response to the "28 yo Colorado woman" MP case
LE not aware of another nearby case that I'm spacing on

*****************
Below are some other MSM sources. I think it's time for a followup by one of the reporters below. I think a screen shot of her exiting the GW would be a good addition. Maybe cover the issues raised by NG. I don't think a lot of folks follow NG. Tonight was my first taste.

I thought the LA Times might be a possibility but it appears that they don't follow many MP cases. They do have great investigative reporters. The only angle I could identify would be a comparison of LE response to different cases.

I'm sure y'all remember this article

http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/01/...mans-disappearance-was-organized-family-says/

It was different than the rest of the new articles because the in the heading it said "Woman's Disappearance was Organized Family Says". The article quotes her brother saying
"It appears to be organized. These types of things don’t happen by mistake,” he said of Maricela’s disappearance."

From the beginning its like the family knew it was an organized crime.

Some examples of organized crime is Mafia, drug cartel, human trafficking, gangs

Let's seriously think about this-
Media didn't want to touch this case because of all the shadiness ( claims that she's been missing before, supposed drug dealing, supposed drug use and so on) but mistivon fights through all of that because she's desperate to get this case out there.
They reluctantly start working with her and one even states that the case is of no real interest because of the claim that she's been missing before.
Mistivon still moves forward, tirelessly pushing for someone to listen.

Why in the world would these media outlets pay for this story? They wouldn't. They didn't even want to run it.
Why on earth would anyone think that mistivon was being paid for any of this? It seems to me like it should be common knowledge that media isn't going to pay to run this story. Why would they? This isn't some day time novela , there's been no demands from a kid napper . This isn't a high profile case with twists and turns. In fact the statistics and odds would point in the opposite direction.
I guess I'm just appalled that anyone actually thought mistivon was taking money or that media would actually pay money.
Sadly this case would've been buried a while ago if mistivon wasn't fighting for it to stay relevant.

Useful insight! It doesn't sound like a good gig for primary income. Did MG have another job in addition to PM?

Outrageous. Wow. Shameful. Based on everything family has done... sarcasm. this PI is slandering you to get ahead. Oh, Mistivon I wish I could give you a hug. You have done everything right and righteous.
