The public relations campaign has begun. "Mental health awareness" will not get her anywhere once the trial starts, or have any bearing on her sentence if she's convicted. JMO. She stopped taking her meds years ago and deliberately drove against a red light at 130 miles per hour in a straight line through a crowded intersection, causing general mayhem and destroying six lives in an instant. Let her get medicated in prison. By the way, has there been any sign of remorse from her? Just wondering. She started crying in court only when the judge denied her bail.

I was just going to post this- My guess is that Nicole's attorneys are behind this campaign. just sayin-- trying to appeal to potential jurors?

Wouldn't work with me. Anyone non-compliant with medication is a menace to themselves and society. I don't see anyone getting a pass on this, however, this is a CALIFORNIA jury...after so many incredulous verdicts in California, who knows?!

Looks like her hearing on 9/22 was moved...

Too many people killed and a baby. I don’t think any jury would acquit her. JMO.

Paywall for me. Did the article name the actor? Different from the Olympic athlete, though?

jmho ymmv lrr
Sister didn't name the "famous actor". NL goes from marrying a famous athlete (GM) to a "famous actor"...
I'm glad though that NL's friends and family are letting Germaine Mason RIP. I think there's a reason why the "famous actor" was not named in this article. I would have sued the family and/or friends if I were GM's wife.

Surprised that nobody seemed to deter NL from being an ICU nurse considering that her family was aware that she was mentally unbalanced, imo, speculation.

“When I see that video, I don’t see Nicole driving…I see her mental illness driving. Something must’ve happened that caused her to completely disassociate with reality, from the fact that there was no reaction from her to break or swerve. Was it something similar to what happened in May 2018, when she became completely catatonic at the police station? Could she really have a neurological condition like frontal lobe epilepsy that could’ve cause her to go stiff and have amnesia? These are questions we would like to have answered and why we want to get her into a treatment facility to be fully tested and properly diagnosed.”

It was in 2018 that Linton says her sister, then 32, was first diagnosed as bi-polar following a manic episode that resulted in an arrest for disorderly conduct and her subsequently being voluntarily committed to a psychiatric treatment facility. She was hospitalized twice in 2019 for mental health issues including an incident when she was seen running around her complex naked.''

In the latest website entry, titled “Murder vs. Vehicular Manslaughter”, a perplexed Linton questions why “someone who no history of dangerous driving and suffering from a mental illness is facing murder charges.”

“On the Saturday night when they were booking her, we were positive she was going to get a vehicular manslaughter charge and the bail would be set to something like $300k,” Linton recalls.''

''We went from thinking we would be able to get her out the next day and place her in a psychiatric facility to her not even getting bail.”

If convicted, Nicole Linton faces up to 90 years in prison.''

I wonder if anything "significant" actually happened at Kaiser Permanente that day. If nothing happened, I think NL's attorney will attempt to turn that nothing into something. JMO
I believe it did... The sister said someone was "escorting NL around" and "tailing" her. In my opinion she was probably being escorted out of the hospital. What nurse is working and FaceTiming a family member at the same time?
Maybe NL "realized" the "romance" with the "famous actor" existed only in her head and that led to a temper tantrum... Just speculating here.

I think it's very likely something did happen. That part of the report really stood out to me. (I think I just don't like the fact NL's legal team will be blaming the hospital, but of course they will either way ). I'm including the article snippet (from your link) for all to reference.

Linton phoned her older sister four times that day, beginning with a call before work.

She also FaceTimed from the hospital, saying her co-workers were “acting weird.”

Later, Linton repeated the complaint.

“She turned the video, and there was someone walking with her and she introduced me to the person. My first thought seeing the person was that they were escorting her around,” Kim said.

The person followed Linton to the elevator, her sister said. As Linton continued talking with Kim, the worker tailed her around the hospital.

Kaiser Permanente declined to answer questions about Linton’s performance or whether an employee was following her around work the day of the crash.

And considering that there are other family members who also have mental disorders... They should have known better, NL herself should have known better.

On another note, I'm surprised the site is still up... and edited? Because I can't find the incident when NL jumped on the police car. I could swear I read it there... I went back to older MSM articles and, did NL jump twice on a police car, or...?

Nicole Linton reportedly had a "lapse of consciousness” during the deadly Los Angeles crash

BBM

" In May 2018, there was a documented incident of a mental breakdown that involved police officers. Officers were called to her apartment during a panic attack. Nicole ran from the police, jumped on their car and was arrested for disorderly conduct. Days later, she told her family that she was possessed by her deceased grandmother."

A successful nurse’s mental struggles remained hidden — until fiery L.A. crash left 5 dead

BBM

"Linton’s aunt Glena, who did not wish to be identified by her surname, said that around that time, Linton went for a jog to get out of her apartment after a small kitchen fire. She ended up at a restaurant, where she began hallucinating, her aunt said. Linton believed her family was there to throw a surprise party for her, and she tried to enter.

She saw me, her brother, her mother, and she kept trying to get in the room,” said Glena, who was visiting Houston from Jamaica at the time. “And they barred her, and that’s when they called the police.”

When officers approached, Linton jumped on top of their cruiser. She was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, her attorneys wrote in a bail motion. Camille said the charges against her sister were dismissed."

NL's sister speaks about inconsistencies in the law but her website is full of them.

"So for anyone asking where the family was during this time, we were there. Nicole had a lot of love and support during this period of her first manic from so many of our family members. I’m afraid to think about all the people with mental illnesses who do not have this type of support."

"Not once in the past 4 years was I ever worried that something like what happened on August 4th could happen."

"She started seeing a therapist again in Oct 2021 and would continue to see a therapist, that we know of, until December 2021. We know it was a struggle for her to find a therapist that she loved as much as the one in Atlanta. We also know that she also went looking for a new therapist around Jul 24th, over a week before the accident because she wanted to talk to someone on how she could go about reconciling her relationship with me, who she hadn’t spoken to in over a year."

NL knows right from wrong, apparently. So, she was aware of her mental issues, and she knew it could happen again without warning and yet, her weight was more important than her mental health.

It is always good to create mental health awareness... But the inconsistencies in the family's statements are not ok! Not to mention the donate button. Money should be raised for those who witnessed the crash and are now probably suffering from PTSD. Especially the ones who saw the unborn baby ripped from his mother’s womb... RIP little angel Armani.
