Prolific serial killer releases sketch of Cincinnati victim

April 1st 2019

"CINCINNATI, Ohio (WKRC) - ....Now, 78-year-old Samuel Little is giving very specific details on a woman he says he strangled in Cincinnati....

"A tall 5'9", 5'10," slender black woman in her late 20s. He said she wore glasses. He described her as studious-looking," Best said. "He is drawing portraits of his victims from memory and he has a remarkable memory. He describes what he did to each of his victims, locations, descriptions of them, very detailed."...

...He thinks he killed the Cincinnati woman either in 1974 or 1984....

The detective thinks the death may have been mislabeled as natural causes or an overdose.

"They parked by a dumpster. He had sex with her and he killed her. He strangled her," Best said....

The detective is hoping the details Little gave about the Cincinnati victim will jog someone's memory. The woman had a long, slender neck and a dark complexion. Little thinks her name was "Alberta." Little believes she was originally from Kentucky or Tennessee.

Little says the victim was a prostitute and possibly used drugs....

"She's wearing a wig in that photo because he said she had short, wool-like, very short hair, like a boy," Best explained.

Little also gave details about where he dumped the body...."

Some comments on the victims claimed in Georgia. Note that there isn’t a town or city called Griffith in Georgia.

Source: Three hand-drawn faces of women he said he murdered could bring their families peace
The three victims that Little says he killed in Atlanta, apparently died between 1981 and 1984. Atlanta Police said they had not been able to corroborate any of Little's alleged victims.

One was described as a black female between 35-and-40 years old. He says he killed her in 1981. A second black female was described as being between 23-and-25 years old and he says he killed her in 1984. The FBI says she was possibly a college student.

A third Atlanta victim, pictured here at left, with red hair, is described as a white female, age 26, "killed in 1983 or 1984." She is described as possibly being from "Griffith, Georgia."

11Alive Chief Investigator Brendan Keefe says that the area attributed to "Griffith, Georgia," is literally an "empty field at the crossroads of two county roads in Taylor County, Georgia. Additional research found that the only incorporated community in the United States with the name "Griffith," is the city of "Griffith, Indiana," a suburb of Chicago.

Perhaps there might be a misunderstanding of sorts at some level, because Griffin, Georgia is a city in the state.

Griffin, Georgia - Wikipedia

The city's population is relatively small, so if the UID's victim supposedly lives here, then they should be able to trace her back fairly easily if the victim was connected with her family.

Convicted serial killer Samuel Little may be connected to cold case murders in Louisiana, official says
"A convicted serial killer who has confessed to 90 murders and was known for sketching portraits of his victims may be linked to even more unsolved killings in Louisiana, according to the police chief of a town where two of the slayings took place.

Samuel Little, who is already serving a life sentence for murdering three women in California, made the confessions last year while being held in Texas for the 1994 murder of Denise Christie Brothers. The FBI has said 78-year-old Little is in poor health and will likely stay in a Texas prison until he dies.

While in prison, last year he began confessing and drawing the portraits of his victims over three decades from memory with the encouragement of investigators. After Little admitted to killing two women in Louisiana, investigators said they are re-examining their cold cases to see if there are any more victims."

"Louisiana police have previously said Little provided details about the strangulation deaths of Dorothy Richard, 59, and Daisy McGuire, 40, in Houma that “only the murderer would have known.” Richard was found dead in 1982 and the body of McGuire was discovered in 1996.
One of those details Coleman pointed out was "something only the killer would know" -- that McGuire's family said she would carry a Bible with her.

“That’s one thing in Samuel’s confession to the Texas Ranger that I knew he was talking about Daisy," Coleman told FOX8. “He didn’t specifically say her name, but he said she was short, light-skinned, nice looking lady, but she always carried a Bible and I was like, ‘That’s Daisy.’”

There's no such potential match amidst the descriptions and locations provided in the official FBI released list... but potentially? Little seemed to have been in the southeast area around the time Denise went missing.
She fits his description and something about her picture makes me feel that she was a victim

Just saw a new entry into NamUs with some shockingly strong similarities to Jackson County Jane Doe (1977), who is believed to be a victim of Samuel Little.

The age and height are off, but I'm willing to discount them in favour of other unusually strong features that match between the missing person and the unidentified victim.

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

The missing person is Emma Lee Henderson, missing from New Orleans since 1976. At first glance, the location of New Orleans is interesting due to the fact that is an important site of the Mardi Gras festival (and the unidentified victim was found carrying a strand of Mardi Gras beads).

There was an article attached to the case file, however, which brought to light some significant similarities. Both the missing person and the victim had a gold front tooth, both had a light to medium complexion and both were prone to wearing wigs. The postmortem interval also lines up perfectly with date of discovery.

But the most significant fact is that Emma Lee Henderson is actually originally from Pascagoula, and was last seen with a friend from the area. Samuel Little claims that the victim worked and lived in Pascagoula.

Would be interested to see what other people think of this?

Serial killer charged in 2 Cleveland cold case murders
May 31, 2019, by Natasha Anderson, Updated at 06:25PM
"Friday, Little was indicted for murdering two Cleveland women in 1984 and 1991.

The Cuyahoga County prosecutor said the 1984 murder occurred in either May or June of that year. Little reportedly walked into a bar near E. 105th Street and Euclid Avenue and met 21-year-old Mary Jo Peyton. After leaving the bar together, officials say Little drove her to an abandoned factory and strangled her to death. He dragged her out of the vehicle and threw her body down a basement stairwell."

"On or around August 24, 1991 Little met 32-year-old Rose Evans while driving around the E. 55th Street and Central Avenue area. He allegedly offered her a ride and instead took her to a vacant lot near E. 39th Street. Officials say he killed Evans in the car by strangling her. He hid her body under two tires in the lot.

Evans' body was discovered by a bystander on the morning of August 24.

The prosecutor says Little's alleged third victim has not been identified or found, however law enforcement is currently investigating."

Serial killer Samuel Little says he murdered unknown woman found dead in Ohio in 1983 (with clip)

Jun 4, 2019

"Convicted killer Samuel Little -- who has confessed to dozens of murders -- says he was behind the death of a young woman whose skeleton was found in Ohio in 1983, according to police.

But that woman is still unidentified, and before investigators potentially move forward with charges, they're looking to find out who this mystery victim is.

The woman's skeletal remains were discovered on March 18, 1983, in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, about 20 miles outside of Cleveland, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)...."

Confessed serial killer Samuel Little now linked to 60 deaths of women

Samuel Little, the California inmate who claims to be one of the most prolific serial killers in US history, has been linked to 60 deaths, a Texas prosecutor said Friday.

Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland said investigators have confirmed Little is connected to deaths in 14 states.

Little claims to have killed people between 1970 and 2005 in 14 states from Florida to California. Authorities had previously confirmed he was linked to 34 killings.

Little, 79, is in a California state prison, according to corrections department spokeswoman Vicky Waters. He is serving life sentences for three murders.

He has been cooperating with investigators from different states and is in bad health, Bland said. In November, Little was charged in Ector County for a 1994 killing.

Little was indicted a week ago in Ohio, accused of killing two Cleveland women decades ago, according to a statement from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutor Michael O'Malley said Little has confessed to five killings in Ohio, including three in the Cleveland area. Cuyahoga County's cold case unit was able to identify two of the three victims, O'Malley said.

Little is charged with four counts of aggravated murder and six counts of kidnapping in the deaths of 21-year-old Mary Jo Peyton in 1984 and 32-year-old Rose Evans in 1991, O'Malley said.

LIttle was indicted Friday in Hamilton County, Ohio, for two killings in the Cincinnati area in the 1980s.

Little has told investigators he killed more than 90 people across the United States, the FBI has said.
