Samuel Little is scheduled Friday to appear via Skype from California state prison, where he's serving multiple life sentences.

Court documents show a Hamilton County Judge Melba Marsh will sentence the 80-year-old man after his pleads. A call seeking comment was left for Little's attorney.
Man who claims serial killings to plead guilty in 2 Ohio deaths

"CLEVELAND, Ohio – The serial killer who said he crisscrossed the country to strangle women admitted Friday that he murdered four victims in Ohio, including two from Cleveland.

Samuel Little, a Lorain native who has confessed to killing 93 women across the country, was sentenced to four life terms for the attacks...

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge John Russo took the pleas via video from the California State Prison in Los Angeles, where Little is serving three life sentences for killing women there. Russo then sentenced Little to consecutive life terms on charges of aggravated murder. Little can be released on parole in 40 years. He would be 119.

Court officials used video to take the pleas because Little is too ill to travel. He sat, showing no emotion, in a wheelchair during the hearing."

In looking over the case again, I came across a page that features a sketch of a victim that I haven't ever seen before that was included in a flurry of other sketches that Little did earlier this year. I did a reverse image search, but I didn't find any further information on this victim, if she was indeed sketched by him. Any thoughts?

Serial killer linked to dozens of U.S. murders pleads guilty to two more

August 23, 2019

"Serial killer Samuel Little, who is serving multiple life sentences after being convicted of killing three women in Los Angeles in the 1980s, appeared in Ohio court by videolink on Friday and pleaded guilty to murdering two Cincinnati women decades ago.

Little, whom authorities believe may be responsible for some 90 murders in several U.S. states over decades, was handed two sentences of 15 years to life in prison for the murders of Anna Stewart in 1981 and an unnamed woman referred to as “Jane Doe.”

The date of the Jane Doe killing is unknown but is believed to have occurred sometime between 1980 and 1999....

Little confessed that he strangled both women to death after they willingly engaged in sex with him as prostitutes, prosecutors said....

Piepmeier said authorities have been able to corroborate 60 of Little’s claimed murders, but he had only been convicted of three before today. He is believed to be one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history...."

LPD releases more details about their case against serial killer Samuel Little and the murder of a Lubbock woman

"LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department described how officers were able to get an indictment against nationally-known serial killer Samuel Little for the 1993 murder of Bobbie Fields.

Months earlier in 2018, Little spoke multiple times with Texas Ranger James Holland. In one of these interviews, Little recalled a woman he believed he murdered in the Wichita Falls area in 1976 or 1977. He drew a sketch of this woman and it was released to the public.

Brewer said an extensive search was conducted by several law enforcement agencies in an effort to locate the murder Little confessed to in the Wichita Falls area, but there were no matches.

On August 18, investigators found a 1993 ‘attempt to locate’ flyer made to locate a 1978 yellow Cadillac Eldorado believed to be the vehicle Fields was last seen getting into shortly before her death.

Brewer said investigators contacted ViCAP again to get a list of vehicles Little was known to drive. A 1978 yellow Cadillac Eldorado was on the list."

A Texas Ranger got a prolific serial killer to talk. This is how

SEP. 26, 2019

"DECATUR, Texas — Texas Ranger James Holland each day enters his windowless, cricket-infested office, flips on fluorescent lights and is confronted by spectral visages staring back at him.

Holland lined the walls with dozens of haunting portraits of women, rendered from memory by their killer. The macabre gallery initially served as an investigative tool to help Holland keep straight a serial murderer’s myriad confessions....

...Where a string of detectives had failed to crack Samuel Little, a pugilistic California prison inmate serving a life sentence for three brutal homicides in Los Angeles, the soft-spoken Holland managed to unlock a killer’s darkest secrets. In 650 hours of interviews over 16 months, Little confided to the detective he had strangled 93 women during a 40-year nomadic rampage from Florida to California, a tally that ranks him among the nation’s most prolific serial killers...."

ViCAP Links Murders to Prolific Serial Killer — FBI

"October 1, 2019 Update: The continued investigation into the confessions of Samuel Little has resulted in several changes to this map. Five cases have been removed after being confirmed by law enforcement. Two new cases have been added—one in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and an additional case in New Orleans, Louisiana. Two previously unmatched confessions have been linked to unidentified bodies or “Jane Does.” Eight new portraits have been added. Little draws the portraits based on his memories of the victims."

In cross-referencing this month's update with the last, the five cases that have been removed are victims: Sarah Brown of New Orleans, Bobbie Ann Fields-Wilson of Lubbock, TX, a yet to be named woman murdered in Atlanta, Georgia, Jolanda Jones of Pine Bluff, AR, and a woman dubbed "Ann" who was allegedly killed in Phoenix, AR.

The two new cases to the map are quite interesting. The Willoughby Hills case information is referencing this woman found in Willoughby Hills in 1983 and was possibly picked up in Cleveland in the late 1970s, though it's curious to note the newly estimated PMI of 1 year. The other case is that of a black woman who was allegedly killed in 1982, though it may be fair to say the 1980s knowing Little and also according to this report.

One of the newly identified Jane Does was mentioned some time ago as a woman who was found in New Orleans back in 1982. Her thread can be found here:

LA - LA - Orleans Parish, WhtFem Skeletal UP2213, 34-44, off I-10, Dec'82

The other Jane Doe that I would like to redirect some attention to is that of a woman reportedly found in Kendall, Florida. I cannot appear to locate the UID through NamUs, so I wonder if she's in the system at all. Her description implies that she could be of White/Hispanic descent, killed in 1971, between the ages of 25 and 35, and potentially named either "Sarah" or "Donna". I haven't checked the system just yet on these names, but I will momentarily.

And we also have sketches for victims found in Homestead, Fort Meyers, Tampa Bay and Plant City, FL; along with three victims in Los Angeles. (And to round out these 7 new portraits, this includes the New (New) Orleans Doe).

FBI Seeking Assistance Connecting Victims to Samuel Little’s Confessions

F ive years after analysts with the FBI’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP) began linking cases to convicted murderer Samuel Little—and nearly 18 months after a Texas Ranger began to elicit from him a breathtaking number of confessions—the FBI has confirmed Little to be the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history.

Little has confessed to 93 murders, and FBI crime analysts believe all of his confessions are credible. Law enforcement has been able to verify 50 confessions, with many more pending final confirmation.

Little says he strangled his 93 victims between 1970 and 2005. Many of his victims’ deaths, however, were originally ruled overdoses or attributed to accidental or undetermined causes. Some bodies were never found.

“For many years, Samuel Little believed he would not be caught because he thought no one was accounting for his victims,” said ViCAP Crime Analyst Christie Palazzolo. “Even though he is already in prison, the FBI believes it is important to seek justice for each victim—to close every case possible.”

The FBI is asking for the public’s help in matching the remaining unconfirmed confessions. ViCAP, with the support of the Texas Rangers, has provided additional information and details about five cases in hopes that someone may remember a detail that could further the investigation.

If you have any information linked to Little’s confessions, please contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit at tip online at tips.fbi.gov.

Samuel Little confessed to 93 homicides—mostly of women—between 1970 and 2005, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said.

Although investigators have only confirmed his involvement in 50 of them, they believe all of Little’s confessions are credible.

The FBI has set up a website showing his videotaped recollections of unidentified killings, alongside sketches—drawn by Little—of the people he claims to have murdered.

“Many of his victims’ deaths, however, were originally ruled overdoses or attributed to accidental or undetermined causes. Some bodies were never found,” the FBI wrote on the website.
