Serial killer Samuel Little claims he killed 2 women in Tampa Bay area

"TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Samuel Little is the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The 79-year-old Little has confessed to 93 murders. The FBI has verified 50 confessions; however, investigators believe all of his confessions are credible.

Right now, investigators are asking for the public’s help to solve the cases.

Although he’s in failing health, Little is still talking and drawing from behind bars.

8 On Your Side Investigates found sketches of eight Florida victims.

Three women are from Miami. Little says he’s also killed in Homestead, Kendall and Fort Meyers."

We showed pictures of the two victims from the Tampa Bay area to Dr. Bryanna Fox, a former FBI special agent.

“It’s almost like her face was burned into his memory,” she said. “It says Tampa dope girl, so could be that she was related some way to the drug industry.”

According to investigators, Little killed vulnerable women from 1970 to 2005.

In 1984, he said he killed a woman from Tampa.

In 1977 or 1978, Little said he met another woman in Clearwater. He told investigators he killed her in Plant City.

Law enforcement is working to match faces to missing person’s reports. Although he’s never getting out, investigators want closure for the victim’s families.

The Prince George’s County cold case unit announced Wednesday new DNA testing in the Samuel Little murder case from 1972.

Within the last week, detectives sent the victim’s femur to a laboratory in Virginia for extensive DNA testing.

Little confessed to strangling 93 victims between 1970 and 2005 last year, including a woman in Laurel, Maryland. That’s more than were committed by Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer combined.

Earlier this week, Little, a convicted serial killer, sketched a drawing of a young woman he confessed to killing in Prince George’s County in 1972.

Bone of Unidentified Victim of US's Most Prolific Serial Killer Sent for DNA Testing

October 9, 2019

"Detectives in Maryland are having a bone from a 1972 victim of a serial killer tested in an effort to identify the woman.

Prince George's County police sent the 19-year-old woman's femur to a lab in Virginia for DNA testing....

The woman's remains were found in December of that year by a hunter who was walking through a wooded area. A medical examiner concluded that the remains had been there for about six months.

Little was in the D.C. area at the time of the killing and was arrested on a handgun charge in May 1972 at the same bus station where he said he met the victim....

Little told investigators that the Prince George's County victim was his only victim in the Washington, D.C., area...."

FMPD Detective Maalisa Langton said there is at least one credible tip Wednesday about who a female victim is, who serial killer Samuel Little confessed to killing in Fort Myers in 1984.

“We’ve actually received a call just yesterday from someone that grew up in the neighborhood,” Langton said. “Our cold case investigators located the victim’s mother.”

Langton is leading the investigation, and she’s talking with Little. Her mission is to verify that the word of a serial killer is true — that Little killed a woman in Fort Myers 35 years ago.

Police can't confirm Arkansas woman slain by serial killer

October 9th 2019

"LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Samuel Little has confessed to strangling 93 people between 1970 and 2005.

The FBI has verified 50 of the confessions, calling him the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history. Little claims one of his victims is a 24-year-old Arkansas woman named "Ruth," but the FBI and local law enforcement agencies have not been able to confirm that.

Little Rock police spokesperson Eric Barnes said that Little Rock cold case investigators are currently working with the FBI to identify the woman.

Little told the FBI that he met the woman in Little Rock between 1992 and 1994. He described her as black, 5'7" and around 200 pounds. Little told the FBI that he strangled the woman to death and dumped her body near a cornfield outside of Little Rock. He called the woman Ruth and believed that her mother lived in North Little Rock...."

Yes! Spooky resemblance, all factors match, and we know he had an Ohio connection and tendency to drive victims multiple states away.

What an unbelievable predator this horrid monster truly is who inflicted pain, and suffering on so..so.. so many victims.

I've always felt many other serial killers of different races have been able to be run under the radar for years or decades due to the standard FBI profile that they are white.

The last article I read on serial killers over 65 have been of the same race as Little, who is the most prolific serial killer known in modern time.

Maybe now the profilers will include all races as possible suspects, and will solve even more cases.

All of these victims brutally murdered by any serial killer or anyone else for that matter deserves justice along with all of their heartbroken families. God bless them all.

New Orleans, Louisiana. Confession Matched to a Jane Doe: White female between 33-44 years old. Killed in 1982.
His 1984 New Orleans victim reminds me of Alma O'Con (NamUs). She was a white female, age 34, missing from Shreveport, Louisiana in June 1981.

I'm a little bit confused here, the link with 1984 is throwing me off.
According to his confession he killed the (white)woman, you pictured, in 1982 and another one (a black woman) in New Orleans in 1982.

The woman in the picture you posted has green eyes and reddish hair. He could have made up all kinds of stuff, mixing up eye color, etc....but what makes you think she could be Alma O'Con?
