I lean toward something happened to the boys within days of the other children going to their grandparents'. Maybe within a few days before, maybe shortly after. JMO.

I doubt the family would believe that they gave the kids back to the state after the adoption was final. It would have been a big red flag and raised too many questions.

I think that LE is not searching because they have no indication of where the boys can be.

What evidence is there that this is an all around fail by CPS? Were the parents not properly vetted? Were there previous allegations of abuse or neglect that they didn't follow up on? What am I missing?

It’s just my opinion that cps may be in some heat possibly. I mean it’s just so ridiculous honestly that not only are the boys the same height and weight but wearing the same thing ? I mean it’s like the AP’s didn’t even try!!!! JW almost had an attitude .
There is no connection to the AP’s emotionally to the boys and that can’t be sugar coated to look like something else . This is evident on their interview that they agreed to, probably without even telling the police. Funny thing .... I thought the police told them to just stay inside ? The police were handling everything? So why in the world would they need to come on publicly and try to explain what happened ? To get sympathy? Again, I’m not flat out accusing the adoptive parents , but with their lack of emotion , and their story not really adding up... it’s hard not to make assumptions .

I’m just so extremely shocked that there isn’t a keep on the look out for this car , or this person that could be with the boys ? NO it’s nothing ... Bc the police know those boys are not ok , and they need to pressure people harder . It’s been 2 months , and I’m not talking badly about the chief Bc I think he is doing a good job.

I would like to know also , and I’m going to try my best today to find out if the FBI is still involved.. of course they volunteer the use of their resources BUT the PD has to ask them to stay if they want them. The police can deny their extended help .

Bayan said he contacted Trezell & Jacqueline through LE, but they declined an interview. Can you imagine doing that when your children are missing? There are so many options - appoint a public spokesperson/attorney to speak on your behalf, set up a scripted interview with questions fielded in advance, give a written statement but not appear on camera.

Marc said it took 65 days for LE to crack Polly's case. Orrin & Orson went missing 59 days ago, by the looks of it day 65 will come and go just like any other

Great point! My ONLY change would be not hearing their “story” or see their body language on that day.

Their avoidance of public plea & lack of searching (if only through other people on their behalf) would make me even more suspicious then I feel right now.

I don’t think my thoughts would change much. I really can’t tell you my thoughts as they aren’t allowed due to TOS.

My main thought would be - why aren’t they giving an interview? Do they have something to hide? I think I might believe the boys did disappear from their sight and I would possibly consider kidnapping.

eta: until I would read the Chief’s words. then I would return to my theory the caretakers might possibly be suspiciously involved. foul play as the chief said.

Ya know. Anything is possible. You’re right. Stranger things have happened for sure. I’ve always been taught to believe until speaker proves me wrong themselves. Have the AP proved their words as untruthful? Have they contradicted themselves? I’m not sure. But what do we draw from interview words taken as solid truths? Where are the boys?

the surveillance footage that was released was a small glimpse of time. Surely if the boys were at the house, they would have been seen on this camera at some point within the two months the family lived there. Much like with gannons case (he came back to the house, but tapes made it seem like he hadn’t) I’m wondering if it’s the same type of thing where the tapes could say more but perhaps LE said don’t release. Do these neighbours talk to LE to agree to show only a portion of the tapes ? Or did that just so happen to be what was released and no further thought put into it.

I think LE always keeps information close to the vest in a case like this. They probably don't want to encourage rumors and speculation and at the same time, don't want the suspect to know what they know.

As far as the surveillance footage, LE only showed a small portion of it. It was already released so they weren't taking much of a risk. There may be a lot more, and yes, I think sometimes they do ask witnesses not to share any information with the public. Imo

If the parents never gave that interview I'd be of two minds:

1. there's a legit reason and possibly LE advised them not to, for reasons they're not going to reveal to the public (common in any investigation, then when we learn why later, everyone understands)
2. something is way sketchy about the parents of missing children not to appeal to the media (then when we learn why later, everyone understands).

I wouldn't be able to reconcile it to my own satisfaction until LE made a statement about it, or them. Which is pretty much where I am now. On the fence until LE makes that statement that tells me which side of the fence they're on. I have my guesses of course, just like we all do, but it's based on only what the public knows. As we ALL know, LE keeps loads of details out of the public domain, so what we think we know, is usually nothing compared to what there is to know.

Unless there is evidence we don't know about, there just hasn't been anything or anyone that can confirm the two missing boys were ever in Cal City.

LE must at least have footage from the store the Wests said they went to. The boys should be seen at the entrance and exit if they were there.

As far as surveillance cameras from neighbors, how long is the video saved? Is it possible to retrieve footage from three or four months ago? I've never had a security camera but I thought I read it only saves recordings for about a week or two.
