I think it was someone inside the mhp and not a stranger. I believe Sandra knew her abductor/killer. I also think she was lured to where this nightmare began by the person who caught her attention in the video when she turns.

It could be someone that the Pastor knows or was helping out, but I'm not believing yet that an elderly Baptist preacher would abduct and kill a little girl. He must be pretty old to have a great grand daughter.

I'm thinking it would be someone with some upper body strength, enough to carry 60 lbs in a suitcase. Does the pastor look capable of that?

According to these links, the sun set in SF at 7:27 pm and it was the night after the new moon. Sandra was not reported missing until after 8pm. So she may have been moved from the MHP prior to 8pm and the lack of moonlight would have made it easier to move something out on a farm into the irrigation pond without being noticed.

This makes it seem as if the TOD could have been soon after she was abducted. I hope she didn't suffer much.

Ah, well...maybe that is possible. How old are her other siblings? (I thought her grandfather mentioned some kind of Bible study tho?)

In the presser last night when it was announced Sandra was found, he said she was in the same clothes she was last seen in during that video. Unless something was announced later last night or today, I think that is correct. He was even asked if it looked like Sandra dressed herself or someone else did, and he said he didn't have that information.

I think the striped dress was in an article that was posted early this morning. I thought this was just a misprint because it said she was wearing the clothes she was last seen in, hello kitty t and striped dress or something to that effect. This was the only place I saw it. Probably in the last thread
with a link.

Just saw Sandra's video again. She is DEFINITELY wearing flip-flops

I saw that also on the video when it replayed on NG. NG is on twice and is on now.

I wonder if anyone has checked out suddenly. If the perpetrator(s) were at the hotel maybe they used a credit card.

I wonder if those places have video. I would be looking at them for that suitcase.

I have thought from the beginning this happened in the park, but you just have to look outside of the box sometimes.

I saw no playground area outside at all. If you get on google maps street view, it doesn't show one. However, those shots can be very old even a couple of years or so.

You are on the ball! I can't seem to be as efficient...
I'm now wondering if the church has a rec room......why would she want to go to church if nothing was going on there per the church's website? Was it an open door kinda thing, or is the preacher (or someone) always around the church to let the kids come in and hang out? I wish I knew more about how going to the church came to light that day....was it after being denied going to the movies? IDK....brain is in overdrive and seems like it's stuck in mud!

Gotta go fold a load of clothes...and think.....

Does someone have a video of the press conference held when the speaker made the statement about clothing that she was wearing when she was found? I have heard two answers: 1. that she was wearing the same thing as in the video and 2. she was wearing the pink Hello Kitty shirt. Please can someone help me with a link to the presser? The same phrase is in some other links I found also, but they are all part of the article, not a quote from LE. It's like one person got the phrase, and they all copied it into their articles. Frustrating.

It isn't a quote from LE so I'm still leaning toward what he said last night in the presser...at least until I can verify that it was reported by LE. Anyone have a link to a quote from LE stating dress or skirt? TIA!

IIRC there were more than one LEOs moving the suitcase from the pond. That may be why the plural "killers" has been used. Because of the weight involved.

Hi Lurkeyloo, Can you do a favor and look at it again to see if she is wearing a skirt, or is it a dress. I was going to go back to all those 'skipping' photo posts to look, but you probably have better eyes than I do.

I still think it odd the Sgt only mentioned tights and a shirt as to what she was dressed in when found. Ta

I won't advertise. I thought of it as I thought of how people steal out of locked luggage at the airport, since I know how that is done. :furious:

FWIW, I know my DNA is all over my suitcase. I live out of it. If this one was used often or even a few times, there should be skin cells, hair, fibers, etc. all over it. Hopefully that can provide a lead of some type. On that note, I'm sure this has been discussed, but I can't keep up with this thread. :waitasec:
