There was mention of SP being harassed earlier in the first thread I think. I wish we had more details about that.

Was that the conversation that started because of a quote she pinned with the gun? Or was there something more substantial?

Sherri's mom said something about the abductor being someone she knew. Keith said there was nothing alarming in the days leading up to her missing and he thinks it was just some low-lifes she didn't know.

It seems I am no further ahead than I was in the early days of this disappearance.
Not clear when she was last seen
Not clear on who dropped off the children that morning
Not clear at all about what her daily routine was
Not even sure if she had a job or not
And I really feel I know nothing about her personality
Certainly not clear about what the object is surrounded by pink

There is nobody in my mind that I can truly be suspicious of as I am still not certain that a crime has been committed
I am willing to wait til LE releases more information before I form a solid opinion

It could be suicide,
She could have left voluntarily
She may have been abducted

Nothing really stands out to point me in any direction
It is rather odd that no scent was detected, but a poster way up thread said that is not that unusual ( I simply don't know)
No vid of her, but then again, do all the cameras point towards the homes?
I know many think the phone "feels" planted.
I can't say for sure as i don't know how visible it was from the walkway/street

If someone was stalking her, it's possible they obtained the code to the keypad (if there is one). They could've spied with binoculars, or a telescope, and watched as SP or KP tapped it in. Someone could've been waiting in her house. She may have still had her phone on her, or attached to her in some way.

I'm wondering if that's what Keith and the family originally thought, but now that they know more info, they've changed their theory.

Something caused them to believe she is no longer in the area. I'm going to guess it's in regards to the evidence they will not disclose.

Maybe one of our sleuths can ask Keith's Step dad these questions. From what I've seen he likes to reply to them, and let them know if it's something he can't answer.

If the eyewitness sighting is reliable and LE knows Sherri stopped using her phone around noon, that would suggest something happened between 11 and noon (or so). So, that would be some progress. But it sure isn't much, is it?! :(

I feel like no scent is odd, if that's truly the case. I've seen them lose scent, or track the wrong direction, but nothing at all? The dogs and their handlers are pretty incredible. But it's not a perfect service.

I am wondering about the cameras. I posted on a previous thread how popular they are in my neighborhood. Almost every single house gets the big multi-camera set up from Costco. We even have dash cams on our vehicle. It would be impossible for someone to jog down our street and not be seen, but I'm not rural. And my husband loves it all, big time "techi", with Keith working at best buy, he might be one too.

My mil is rural, they have multiple cameras, mostly wildlife cameras for entertainment purposes, but they have one at the gate of their property.

I keep thinking about what PI Garcia said after talking with the family and walking around "it's strange no one saw an abduction". I wonder if lots of cameras made him think that.

I strongly feel we need to be careful with comments about people who have not been listed as POIs
And that is strictly my humble opinion

if it were suicide wouldn't we have a body?

Actually no:
http://q13fox.com/2016/02/10/womans-body-was-in-wal-mart-parking-lot-for-months-police-say/
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/c...d-where-his-body-has-been-for-last-six-months
There's many ways where you wouldn't find someone's body, even if they want their body to be found (like the Wal-Mart suicide). She for instance could have hopped on a bus and gone to parts unknown. Months and years can go by, even when there's been an active search.

Excellent post. I've been quiet for the past couple of days, but keep checking in hoping for news. I share all your questions and find the silence very unsettling. I tell myself they must be on to something big, then flip flop to OMG I think they have nothing. I can't imagine how her children must feel -- they must long for her something fierce.

Has the new PI said anything publicly?

I've only seen him post on her HFSP page. He said, we will find her. BTW are we allowed to post about his social media comments since he's the PI on this case, or is it against the rules?

Do we know if anyone else has had a polygraph like SP's previous husband?

I have looked for a link to a second polygraph and I can not find one
Would someone post it please TIA

Referring to Sherri's 10:37 text:

Instead of looking at Sherri's 10:37 a.m. text to her husband as "why would she expect him to be home for lunch if it wasn't normal," perhaps it should be looked at as "why is she checking to make sure he wouldn't be home for lunch."

The reason to bring this up is we don't know that Sherri was at home when she text her husband. It's quite possible she had already started out for her walk/jog when she remembered she'd left the gift out. Instead of returning home to put it away, she may have decided to text her husband just to be sure he wouldn't be coming home for lunch.

That is an excellent point. Why wasn't it thought of till now?

Just wanted to mention that another poster theorized previously that the gift could have been left half-wrapped so the kids could help finish wrapping the gifted. The card was "signed" from all three of them, so maybe, supermom that she is, she wanted to involve the kids in the wrapping. Maybe that's something they did regularly.

Maybe eventually. I hope. It could take awhile though.

eta: And maybe eventually I will read backwards and stop answering questions that have already been answered...

I asked my husband this question. He said his dog would not be able to pick up a scent days later. Maybe a bloodhound but not an apprehension and drug dog like his. I wonder what type of dogs they used to search for Sherri.

Thinking a lot about this. I'd like to know what dogs they had working this case too. There's a difference between a drug dog, a bomb dog, a SAR dog, an apprehension dog, a cadaver dog, and a bloodhound, just for example. If what LE had available was a drug dog (likely given the area), I wouldn't be surprised if the result was negative. I've been training for 20 years and have taken some classes from LE trainers. Tracking dogs are specialists. Usually for an MP a bloodhound or other specially trained scent hound is best bet.

Why would LE use a dog to find the scent of a missing person that was not capable of doing so?
Not snarky, I just don't understand why they would do that

Would dogs be able to distinguish between an old scent and a new one? I ask because her scent had to be around her property and, if she jogged regularly, along her jogging route. So, just picking up her scent might not mean much.

The video where the officer is talking about searching rso's there is a shasta county k9 search and rescue vehicle in the background.

I agree, which is why I said it could "contribute" to why she had the carry permit. Having children, being home alone during the day, known RSOs not far from the house are also contributors, IMO. The fact that her family immediately thought about an abduction also is concerning as we really don't know if there had been any threats or anything suspicious occurring prior to her disappearance.

Many of the women in my family have a carry permit. I'm sorry but this world isn't getting any safer. To me it's not uncommon for a woman to own a firearm. My husband has been urging me to get one for a long time. There are too many crimes against women these days.
