I think they should look in the Santa Cruz Mtn's. :twocents:
Why has no one brought up the fact that the perp may be a farm worker?
Don't know.
But, he said he wasn't in the field (on Santa Teresa) on the day she disappeared, so he isn't there every day.
How would he know definitely if he has been there since or not?
Yes...it may be important for LE to be aware of this info. the worst that can happen is they already have discovered it, and that is not a bad thing at all!

I really think the school needs to take some responsibility for the amount of time it took for them to contact her family to let them know she was absent.
Stretching it for new scenarios is getting tougher. How about this...cute guy Sierra has seen around at school stops her in the school yard for a chat. He casually looks around, walking her to a corner of the building where there are no students milling around. He talks first about how he can't wait for warm weather, and then gets on to asking her if she gets rides to school from her parents. Finds out she is the only one home when it is time for her to leave to catch the bus for school. They talk about how they cant wait for summer.
Then, as if it just occurred to him he says He says, "Sierra, Hey, listen. Tomorrow I can borrow my brother's new ??? car. We could skip school for the day and go to ????." (Feel free to fill in the ???.s) Sierra doesn't answer immediately, then he seals the deal by saying, Whoa. We can have an early Spring picnic lunch: I'll pick up sour dough and rye bread, ham, roast beef, chips, and stuff. And, I'll borrow a few bottles of champagne and wine coolers from my bro's stash, he'll never miss it. It will be great, we can kick back and enjoy the day." Sierra says, "Well, that's tempting but....." Nice guy says, "tell you what, if you decide you aren't having a good time, I will bring you right back, I promise. I never break promises." Sierra can't resist after that, says okay.
Nice guy says, "Just to make it more fun, our little early get-away, promise you won't tell a soul. This will be our little secret, so no fair letting anyone, not even your best friend know beforehand. Promise?" Sierra agrees, gives him her address, and he asks her to meet him outside her home about seven am. He gives her his cell phone number, and an extra cell phone he happened to have on him, just in case she needs to reach him privately, he tells her. They turn to leave, and he says, Oh, by the way, do you like to listen to ???. Sierras nods and her lovely eyes light up at the names, and he says Great. Ill bring my ??? and we can listen to them on the drive down/up there.
Please forgive me for the "unlikely language choices" I used, and feel free to laugh. I know I would. I am a grandmother, my beloved oldest granddaughter is 23 and she would laugh her head off if she knew I wrote like this. I can't speak todays "teen's text twitter plus the effen" language.
The what-if scenario I tried to depict was that there didnt need to be any record of text messages. She had his extra cell phone to use. Leaves no record on hers. Makes a big difference, verbal plans, secrets, and an unknown private cell phone sweetens the deal..
(The music idea was an afterthought. Im listening to some of Chris Bottis CDs. His talented trumpet calms me down when I get down from reading and discussing the latest on our disappearing children.)
I :heartbeat: you, Caligram! ..I enjoyed your descriptive theory.. hey, its very similar to my theory I proposed earlier this evening.. I think soomething similar could definitely be a possibility..
I thought you said sourdough and rye bread would catch her off guard before... and now all of this? Can we try to focus on things that actually could have happened please?
I reported this to law enforcement TODAY at about 2 p.m I think maybe they asked her questions because NOW at 9:48 her wall is plastered with SIERRA LAMARS missing poster and she has tweet upon tweet upon tweet.. Kinda crazy
All I can see is an unrelated changed background image and one retweet of a celeb with a @msg to her regarding Sierra, the rest seems unrelated ... was stuff deleted? I am just not seeing what others have reported on this girl's twitter ...

eta - i see her avatar is changed, you'll note someone critcised her last avatar while picking on her twitter etiquette the last time she was on. I would hate for anyone to be adding to this girl's burden.
