Belleville would be the nearest city to the Madoc property. Madoc is a very small town. Closest for choice regarding dining, entertainment, groceries etc. About 40km.

Yet, he must have had a system for what he did with his victims, he didn't just leave them behind. I don't want to even think about the details, but obviously it was very thorough and went undetected. So I personally doubt it was mobile, that he would risk implementing it in a new location.

Keep in mind, this does not keep your browsing history private in a corporate network. I feel like it's worth a mention, it only takes one second to absent mindedly click a link without reading into it first. I feel like we should have spoiler tags for NSFW images or links.

I googled: "name of Bruce McArthur's landscaping business" and came up with "Artistic Design" from this linked article:

http://www.macleans.ca/news/what-we-know-so-far-about-bruce-mcarthur/

ETA: Seems that all the original articles from 18/19 January announcing his arrest also make mention of "Artistic Design" as the business name.

Yes, that info was already well established, we are trying to locate details of the business, such as official website, postings on Kijiji, etc.

They found photos of other victims and not all were gay.

This guy was basically the John Wayne Gacy of Canada.

UPDATED timeline, thanks to those I quoted below for adding details.

I have a basic timeline going, which I’ll copy here. All this information comes from MSM. There are a few other bits I haven’t included because not yet confirmed by LE or in MSM.

- BM graduated high school 1970 in Fenelon falls
- BM Gets married and has 2 children at some point after that and family moved to/lived in/around Oshawa
- Divorced sometime between 1998 - 2001(?)
- He and wife declared bankruptcy 1999, don’t know if it was before, during or after divorce
- 2001 Arrested for assaulting someone in Toronto
- Convicted of above assault April 2003, 2 yr suspended sentence, plus 3 years probation. Restraining order to stay out of the village AND away from an address that could be linked to Majeed
- Dated Skanda in, or from, 1999, who disappeared Labour Day September 2010 last seen in the Village
- Faizi disappears December 29th 2010 last seen in the Village
- Majeed Kayhan reported missing 14 October 2012, no exact last seen, or where info
- Saroush Mahmudi reported missing August 2015, Scarborough
- Dean Lisowick, never reported missing, death estimated between May 2016 - July 2017
- Salem Esen disappears around April 14th 2017
- Andrew Kinsman disappears 26 June 2017
- At some point Andrew & BM were in a relationship
- BM was in a longish (?) term relationship, or an “on/off” relationship with an unidentified man (by MSM/LE) up until his arrest or until shortly before it (?)
- Police start following/investigating BM September 2017
- Police get a hold of BM’s van October 2017 in Courtice
- Arrested 17th January 2018
- Charged with murdering Andrew and Selim 18th January 2018
- Charged with murdering Majeed, Saroush, Dean 29th January 2018
- As yet unidentified human remains of (at least?) three bodies found between 18th January - 29th January 2018.
- Investigation ongoing, not limited to Toronto and not limited to the gay community.

- Sold home in Oshawa he owned with his wife in 2000

Snipped...
...McArthur declared bankruptcy in 1999, listing a property in Oshawa he owned with his former wife, Janice. The pair sold the property in 2000.

Didn't he start dating Skanda in 1999? Thought I read that in the Daily Xtra. Something to add to the timeline?

Not weird. It's probably evidence and they don't want to compromise his future trial.
That doesn't stop the media from publishing. They've already published way more details about the Sherman murder that could compromise.

Sidenote.. It's now also in Joe Warmingtons recent article. So creepy!!!!!

It's nuts really. It's been 17 years since him and his wife sold their home, likely when they dissolved their marriage. Now I'm only speculating that this is when his behaviour started, it could have been earlier, it could have been much later (and for the sake of potential victims I hope it was) but if he murdered 2-3 people a year which is what we are looking at currently for 2017, thats 34-51 victims. Could be less, could also be more.

I don't know why I'm like this either, but welcome to the club!

This is pure speculation, but it is possible he escalated from violent assault to murder, rather than starting out with murder. Cf assault conviction 2003. His suspended sentence (2yrs) & probation (3yrs) may have kept him somewhat under control for a few years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were unreported assaults between 2000-ish and 2012-ish. If there were, I hope that the victims will feel safe enough, and able to report them now.

Again: my personal speculation.

It is difficult to avoid morbid thoughts about this case. My latest is, where did he dismember the victims and pack them into planters? Unlikely to be in the back of a van (parked where?); couldn't have been in the Thorncliffe apartment or they would likely have a bunch more forensic evidence from there, plus witnesses in the elevators seeing him with planters; not likely in the garage at Mallory Cres (neighbours close by)?? He had doubtless developed a system that seems to have worked pretty well.

I was one of the early ones to compare him with Gacy, but now I'm wondering if he may be more like Denis Nilsen Dennis Nilsen - Wikipedia. He was a collector.

If there is a trial (ie if he doesn't plead guilty) and if the remains found are not those of the victims already linked to BM, these poor people are going to be key witnesses in addition to the horror they're already confronting. I hope they are getting support. (Written by someone whose large, freestanding garage is being used by a neighbour - whom I think I know well ...)

I've been wondering what that system exactly was. Graphic thought warning: but where did these murders take place? His van? His apartment? Murder + dismemberment = an incredibly messy scene.

He took a risk no matter where he was, imo. While I think it's likely that he remained mostly in the Toronto area, I don't think anything is off limits in this case.

So true. This is likely nowhere near over for everyone involved, and I sincerely hope they are getting the help and support they need. Victim Services has resources and funds available for counselling. I hope this is made available to them all.

I wonder if he might have a storage unit/lock-up somewhere?

I would love it if they would stop publishing comments about how helpful and kind he was.

Maybe. The Thorncliffe apartment is in an older building with thicker walls and more space than more modern builds (a friend lives in the sister building, so I know it well), so one could imagine the killing and even the dismembering happening there (bathtub?). Warmington's "source" is now claiming TPS probably interrupted a murder there when they arrested him. It's difficult, however, to imagine BM lugging planters & dirt up to the 19th floor. So there is likely a second site where he could complete the job at his leisure.

I keep wondering how the heck a landscaper with an apparently successful business, judging by the client list TPS has, would not have some kind of storage site more permanent than a borrowed garage. If he filed business tax returns with appropriate deductions, CRA may have a record of the address(es.)

And, as many have said on Twitter, use his mugshot instead of the flattering images we keep seeing.
