OMG BAM!!!!! They have him now.....on child *advertiser censored*. Good. That means they have been on him for a while now. LE took all of the computers from the business and two residences. The local media in Trois-Rivières and in the province are finally able to now say that he is considered a suspect in the disappearance, TVA Nouvelles made that clear on television this morning. Unfortunately he is very well defended and a potential trial could take years.

In November 2011, journalist Jean-François Guérin had visited Jonathan Bettez Mauricie to question about the disappearance of the young Cédrika Provencher occurred four years earlier. A french radio interview with Claude Poirier. He's saying that officers involved in the arrest of Bettez were also directly involved in the Provencher case for over 8 years. The fact that 3 buildings were searched and 60 officers involved in this strongly suggests that this investigation is way more than what it seems to be.

Thousands of files were discovered involving children between the ages of 8-12 years.

Also, every employee of the Bettez business was interviewed seperately and there was a NEW employee only hired two months ago. Some people are speculating that this person could have been an LE plant, directly involved in investigating him. Hmmmm

Poirier knows the case like the back of his hand, he will be able to tell us more soon. It was always stated that the suspect had a dark past (gambling issues, *advertiser censored* addiction etc.) so these charges don't really surprise me. He went out of his way to cover up his actions, cleaned his red Acura and lawyered up. What surprises me is the apparent lack of physical evidence since 2007, it's not like Bettez has been on their radar for just a couple of weeks. I'm glad his name has been made public now because I was not allowed to share it prior to this arrest.

The reason they were finally able to say his name on the news is because he is now charged with another crime that is related to young children. His name has been connected to the case since August 2007 when police and witness accounts put him at the scene of the abduction of Cédrika in the infamous 2004 red Acura. But when police met him, he lawyered up, refused to cooperate with them and he had already cleaned his car (I even heard that he had the car towed and scrapped in another country but I don&#8217;t know if that&#8217;s entirely true). For years, law enforcement, the Provencher family and the people of Trois-Rivières knew his identity but they couldn&#8217;t reveal it because Bettez is extremely well defended, his family is very rich and his lawyer threatned to sue people for diffamation and damage to the reputation of his client if they were to mention him publicly.I knew his name as well thanks to a source I have at the SQ but I was not allowed to talk about it to anybody because I could have been prosecuted by the Bettez family or Bettez&#8217;s lawyer. Now that Cedrika&#8217;s remains have been found and that Bettez is charged for a crime related to young children, they had no choice but to mention his name. They are hoping it will encourage more people to come forward.
