The Intelligencer has confirmed that staff at Centennial Secondary School, where Lloyd's mother works as a staff secretary, has been told that Lloyd's body has been located near Tweed and that an arrest is believed to have been made in the case.

TWEED — OPP crime unit specialists have cordoned off what is described as a possible crime scene here this morning, believed linked to the disappearance of Jessica Lloyd, 27, of Belleville.

TWEED — OPP crime unit specialists have cordoned off what is described as a possible crime scene here this morning, believed linked to the disappearance of Jessica Lloyd, 27, of Belleville.

She was found dead in Tweed (Stoco Lake area), roughly 35 minutes from Belleville. They have a suspect in custody.
SO TRAGIC.
SO very tragic...
This is just awful.

Oh, no! This is horrible! I have a daughter about the same age who shares a first name with this poor young woman, so I felt very connected to this case. If this is confirmed, I send my most sincere condolences to family and friends. The heart breaks.

The investigation is happening at 62 Cosy Cove lane in Tweed.

OPP and area police are also up in Trenton investigating, and many units are up there now too.
Two areas that are a fair distance apart has me puzzled.

Ontario Provincial Police and Belleville police have confirmed they have arrested a male suspect in the disappearance and death of Jessica Lloyd.

A statement issued at 10:15 a.m. today said a joint investigation has led police to investigate "other incidents in (the) area ... resulting in additional criminal charges."

A man was arrested Sunday in connection with the disappearance and death of 27-year-old Jessica Lloyd, Ontario Provincial Police said Monday.

Criminal charges have also been laid in relation to other incidents in the area as a result of the investigation, police said in a news release.

BELLEVILLE, ON, Feb. 8 /CNW/ - On Sunday, February 7, 2010, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Belleville Police Service arrested a male for the disappearance and death of Jessica Lloyd.
During the joint investigation, other incidents in area were examined resulting in additional criminal charges.
