Just a thought.

The lawyer in the same building said that it was mostly women who visited Dr Zhang so I did a bit of digging.

Pregnant women can safely use acupuncture treatments to ease back and pelvic pain during pregnancy.

Also, although science doesn’t necessarily support this, acupuncture can be used on women to help them get pregnant by stimulating the ovaries.

Could Dr Zhang have been blamed for a pregnancy loss or something gone amiss during treatment? Could this guy be the husband of a wife that was seeing Dr Zhang?

Kinda out there but I found it interesting that it seems it was mostly women who were seeing Dr Zhang.

I don't know - maybe it has to do with men not wanting to go to a female provider? Sexism still exists. idk

Acupuncture patients tend to be happy with results, in my observations. Otherwise, why go? I wonder if the perp was a patient but his ailments were beyond what she could effectively treat and he couldn't accept that??

Maybe he had a dispute over a bill?

Or will be be something completely random like road rage and he followed her to work??

I hope today's search for her is successful.

Different last names though. Was there something else in the article I missed that point in the direction of this being a relative?

could have his father's last name - not all wives take their husband's last name anymore (I didn't) or could be other parenting reasons

no there's been nothing pointing to that that I've seen - it was just speculation which is why I had question marks

Investigators searching for missing woman Ying Zhang have located human remains in Kawartha Lakes, York Regional Police announced Wednesday.

Officers found the remains in the Village of Kirkfield, roughly 140 kilometres northeast of Toronto, police said in a news release.

"Investigators are awaiting positive identification from the Office of the Chief Coroner," the news release reads. "The investigation is ongoing."

Graphic Warning

Decomp would be fairly progressed. It has been brutally hot and humid here since last week with multiple storms rolling through the area.

Probably going to need dental records and/or DNA to get a positive ID.

How sad.

Now why?

I'm wondering if the perp gave LE info on where to find her?

"Investigators are still working to determine Zhang's cause of death, Dickson said, as well as exploring any sort of link or relationship between the two.

"At this time, we still do not have a full understanding of their relationship," Dickson said.

Similarly, officers are still examining potential motives, he said.

"At this time it would be too early for me to speculate," Dickson said."
