Cases possibly of interest for the LISK case

Have lurked along on this and many other LISK threads for a couple of years now. I need some help finding articles or documentation of the elderly woman that was raped, strangled, and dumped in the rocky point beach area. Unfortunately, a family member was the one to discover the body. If I recall the man was tried and convicted. I want to read way into it now that I remembered this. I seem to remember the story being very odd.

Any help is appreciated. Must've been around 2002 or so?

Is this the one?

Woman, 88, found dead in city was strangled ; Robbery likely motive in killing, police say: [FINAL Edition]
Irwin, Richard. The Sun; Baltimore, Md. [Baltimore, Md]02 Dec 2002: 2B.
CORRECTION: An article in yesterday's editions on the killing of an elderly woman incorrectly described the Greenhill Apartments on Violet Avenue, her residence in Northwest Baltimore. Greenhill is an apartment building for the elderly and disabled. The Sun regrets the error. An 88-year-old woman found dead over the weekend at an assisted- living facility in Northwest Baltimore had been strangled, city police said yesterday.
The death of Sarah Shannon, a longtime resident at the Greenhill Apartments in the 2500 block of Violet Ave., was ruled a homicide by the state medical examiner's office after an autopsy. Police said robbery might have been the motive.
Shannon was found dead in her apartment bedroom shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday by a female relative, who went to the apartment after unsuccessful attempts to phone her, police said.
Arriving officers reported that the woman was lying dead in her bed.
Police declined to say whether any implement had been used to kill the woman, or if property was missing from the apartment. They also declined to say whether the apartment had been entered by force.
Flora Marshall, 59, a 14-year-resident, said Shannon lived in one of Greenhill's two 13-story apartment buildings for a long time.
"She was a pleasant lady who was hard of hearing, and we often talked when we met," Marshall said.
French Williams, a Burns Security Agency employee working at Greenhill, said Shannon often stopped by and talked.
"She would come into the office often, and even though she couldn't hear well she would spend a few minutes with us," Williams said.
Homicide detectives continued last night to examine the woman's apartment for clues and had interviewed several residents.

No the murder was in rocky point, NY (Long island north shore). Was around the 2000-2005 range give or take. The woman's body was discovered near the water in the dunes/reeds. If I recall, a man was arrested in connection to it. I want to know more about that man.

Thanks, I've been digging and digging, reading about many cases that don't fit -younger victims, found in burned homes, etc. This one is from 2008 in Miller Place so I doubt it's the one but I thought I'd check:

Police find 2 bodies in Suffolk waters
Armario, Christine. Newsday, Combined editions; Long Island, N.Y. [Long Island, N.Y]23 Apr 2008.
A woman's body was also recovered yesterday on the North Shore near the bluffs off Seacliff Avenue in Miller Place. The remains were sent to the medical examiner's office, where an autopsy is expected to be performed to determine the cause of death.
Police said the remains have not been identified and that they did not consider the woman's death suspicious. No further details were available.

She was later identified as Holly Comba, 54

Her torso was found in 1997. Thats why the call they call her peaches because of the tattoo above her breast.

Here are more cases that I believe are LISK victims (Manorville Butcher if you're looking at things as 2 killers):

https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/6058

https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/8626
https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/8168
https://www.identifyus.org/en/cases/9180 http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...80-25-50-in-Plastic-Bag-Apr-88&highlight=9180

Three cases are of fairly young women's torsos found absent any other body parts, two of which were wrapped in plastic, just like Jessica Taylor and Manorville Jane Doe's torsos. One is a male torso wrapped in sheets, similar to the 2012 Manorville John Doe who was also wrapped in sheets but not dismembered.

These seem significant for several reasons. The '88 case could potentially be the first victim. The 2000 case was found very near Sugar Bear's remains but more importantly shows a timeline. The estimated time of death is 1999-2000. These pre-Manorville cases could also indicate a change in the killer's life -when they started working on LI if they already lived there, or when they moved back to LI (because we already know they are familiar with it). Of course, Fire Island Jane Doe is our earliest LI victim but the sequence of the 2000 Queens torso and Manorville Jane Doe are close enough to possibly show us a few things about the killer.

I have searched NamUs and old news articles thoroughly and torsos wrapped in plastic is an extremely unique signature. Sadly, babies wrapped in plastic bags are fairly common everywhere. Dismembered women wrapped in other items such as sheets, shower curtains, tarps, and rugs seem to occur sporadically.

Considering that two of these wrapped torsos were found in the water with the wrapping still present, this also indicates a level of skill and proficiency the killer has with wrapping things in plastic. Where does this skill come from? Does the killer have work experience at a bakery, deli, warehouse wrapping pallets, auto body taping off cars? Is it another hunting clue?

In fact, the only other case of torsos wrapped in anything I could find is a black male wrapped in a tarp in Sandwich, Mass in 2014. He had on clothes so I doubt it's related. Sadly, babies wrapped in plastic bags are fairly common everywhere. Dismembered women wrapped in other items such as sheets, shower curtains, tarps, and rugs seem to occur sporadically.

I think his first victim was Tina foglia.

Could not find a thread for Tina Foglia, so started one. Found it interesting that she was last seen at a trendy music venue for a show.
If her case is related to LISK, could he be a music fan? speculation.

Pretty sure LE will come up empty.

I suspect he enjoys listening to Steely Dan with Babylon girls being one of his favorites.

I think it's been a long time but I also feel this is where it all began so probably an important ingredient in the lisk case. If Tina was his first kill, this is where he might have made mistakes. This killer is not a loner or socially awkward. He is a charming party boy so i ask who fits this profile?

Sometimes, I feel that I see the secrets this killer keeps and other times I see him through the eyes of his victims. I sense that his first kill was in his late teens or into his twenties. He seems like such a good catch to these women. I think LeAnn has a good idea of who it could be.

I also feel that the new Bedford murders as well as the Atlantic city murders can be connected. It's a warm sensation but Tina foglia is a hot sensation that I got from the first time I read about her.

Facebook is the a tricky place. A place to trade one's privacy for attention...and sometimes the wrong kind. This does have a slight lisk feel to it.
