I had cutsie pet names for my children when they were toddlers as well. When my son was a teenager, I will admit that I did jokingly referred to him (to his face) as "my little heathen".

Nope I don't because she frequently referred to her that way, and not as a term of endearment to Caylee, it was how she referred to her to other people- like an albatross around her neck! Very derogatory.

Agreed. I have 2 little ones, one is 2 1/2 and I would never, ever refer to them as any thing but their names, pumpkin or lovey. I use cutsie names because, well, I find them cute and I love them. Huge difference with how Casey views her child.

Her friends said in their statements that to their knowledge Casey always called Caylee "munchkin" or by her name, though. (Before the disappearance.) For what it's worth.

(I know what you mean in the prison conversations though, she didn't use Caylee's name much, often referring to her as "my daughter". I never call my son "my son", I call him by his name, that's what I think of him as, his name, or various loving nicknames. So I do know what you mean.)

If you Google "pheromones" that might explain it. But I think Casey was just making herself very available and being a big tease to these very horney young men. What she (and many) young women don't realize is sex and lust do not equal love.

The fact that she would have anything to do with guys who spoke to her the way AR and TL did in their IMs shows that she probably either had low self-esteem or just didn't know there are nicer guys than this and she shouldn't put up with this. Some girls have this problem, not seeing the red flags.

Her speech in the IMs with AR and TL seems to mirror theirs to an extent.

KC is a country bumpkin. I can't find any indication that she ever left Orlando or the immediate surrounding area her entire life. Same people, same places, blah, blah, blah. I bet she did go crazy over AL, Mr. New York Italian, Hip-hop DJ, about to Graduate FILM school. He was the biggest fish ever to swim in her pond and she wanted to reel him and put him in the boat - bet on it. The rest of the boyfriends are really kinda like Gomers. Probably nice guys, but Gomers. AL had actually been to places outside of Florida. Heady stuff when compared to beer pong in the garage. Plus, he hadn't learned to bolt all of his stuff to the floor and sleep on his wallet yet, they had just met.

He just wasn't that into her, her life, her kid or her issues. He just wanted to have sex and he did the absolute minimum required to make that happen. A text message.

Yes! I saw a link to Casey's Cupid(?) profile and she said that her first plane ride was in 2005 to Myrtle Beach...

That was her one and only trip out of her city...her whole life was there in Orlando and she just couldn't see past the 4 walls - I think she led a very sheltered life and wanted to move on from her "Cindy and Caylee" life to her "Tony's hot shot girl promoter" life. Hope she's happy with the path she chose.

Yeah Tony L was sucked into it and I think her plans were to off her parents after she found out how easy it was to take care of Caylee, I know that sounds so harsh but that is what it feels like to me.....

Oh...so maybe this is when the story came about that her father was cheating. Maybe the original story was that they were going to a retirement village or something, but now, dad's cheating and they are fighting and trying to figure out if they are gonna stay together. "TonE, can I come stay with you for a few days?"

Thanks for posting this exchange and the link. To be honest, when KC talks about Caylee calling herself a boss, and patting herself on the chest, that shows mommy pride. Doesn't fit in with the rest of her behavior, and sure doesn't fit in with her comment right before this one.

I know. It does show that she's wanting to share something that Caylee did that she thought was cute. I think Caylee was just asleep, not drugged. And I also think, with this comment and the potty training comment, she was trying to change the subject. Either to get TonE off of his idea of coming over, or to try to get him interested in her daughter.

I hope what you believe is true because then the tattoo artist (Is his name Bobby Lee W?) may have some implicating statements to contribute!!! Has his statement been released yet?

Actually, I don't think she was joking--I think she was being literal. A lot of hoopla has been made over this reference but IIRC the day KC used the term "snot head" was the during Caylee's "first illness" (the first time KC ever had to take her own daughter to the doctor). I think she called her snot head due to all of the snot in her head at the time.

I love my children dearly, they are my life and my light, however they have their days when I can refer to them as "rotten possums, demolition crew, stink pots, little devils...and then some. I really don't read all that much negativity into the snothead statement.

I do, however, read a whole lot into the conversations she is having with peeps from 6/10 forward-between the house, the job (and naming names), and the efforts-I see a whole lot of plotting spinning around and it all points to her family being gone....for good!

I found the attempts she made at bringing her pride as a Mom into the convo, re; toilet training, quite insightful, imo. In those moments, I wish she would have gotten some positive reinforcement, is all...too bad.

im pretty sure it sbeen said somewhere on this thread that
a) "im a boss" was a popular song at the time these msgs were sent. popular hip hop song, club type song, one that would fit well with tl music tastes.
b) that t taught her to say that when they were last at the pool, which i think was very close to when this convo happened.

I'm with y'a on this one. The timing of the tattoo just didn't pass the smell test IMO.

full sail often holds classes and labs quite late.
when i lived in orlando my roommate attended that school (actually we lived in the apartment complex right next to tl's complex) and he had class/lb late at night plenty of times.

i think the motivation behind this (as most of the classes/labs that ran late were highly technical) is that the equipment is very expensive and thus instead of having dozens and dozens of the same stuff, they have less, and schedule many classes, some running very late at night.

better equipment + smaller classes = scheduling students at all hours of the night. i remember 1am-5am labs being commonplace.

at full sail, you learn to sleep when you can. fortunately, for the courses of study they offer they attract a specific type of person... a night owl. people who like to get into bed at 8pm don't usually gravitate toward careers in programming, audio, film, etc.
