Geraldo Rivera on FoxNews now stating Jose Baez has moved to Miami and his home was foreclosed upon.

Cheney Mason will represent Casey on the appeals.

I can't find anything at all about this in public records. No foreclosure, I mean. Anyone else??? It should be in public records if he has a recent foreclosure. :waitasec:

Why would JB's "friend", GR, report this on Fox? Seems like a strange thing to be reporting on if those two were really as close as JB would like for everyone to believe.

My understanding is that JB had been threatened with foreclosure at one time but paid that debt in the nick of time.

IIRC JB's home was under water (as were other players) and he just walked away from it as a loss.

I would think it would be awfully nervy of a news person to go on air and report something about an individual personally that isn't true. But you never know with some of the *reporters* out and about these days.

I have been wondering if JB and GR are not on the outs about something. I didn't watch JB on GR show the other night (or recently, can't remember when it was) but it was reported here that JB was not talkative, was reserved, seemed uptight and uncomfortable. But before the show aired it was reported that JB had "agreed to" appear on the show. Not that he was eager to appear as he has always been but had "agreed" to appear...as if it had taken some convincing.

But still, for GR to report something so personal about JB if there is in fact nothing to it would take some major gall, I would think.

How does this effect his law license if he did foreclose? Could he have taken a second mortgage out thinking he will hit pay dirt with Casey? Could he be getting disbarred? Or could this all be planned, and it is a big set up?

I'm banking on the later.

check short sale...I would think that might be what is going on first before foreclosure.

I've been thinking that too. They don't seem to be chummy chummy buddy buddy like they used to be. Maybe he promised an exclusive to Geraldo, but the network refused to pay? Or maybe the network didn't offer enough money, so Baez shopped elsewhere? Or maybe Baez promised an exclusive to Geraldo before the verdict, but then afterwards reneged on it to try to make more money? I definitely think there's been a fall out between the two.
