I think she is too full of herself to try to commit suicide... but she is devious enough to try to escape. She sure would not get very far, I'm thinking!

I've never thought she would attempt suicide, either. To do that, she would have to believe that she will be found guilty, and she thinks she is WAAAAY too smart for that to happen!

Run? Yes.

Her jail cell should be the size of her trunk where she put her daughter. (i know i'm not making sense, i'm just incensed with her flipping *entitlement* attitude enabled by Cindy~I will shut up now)
Yeah, but it's definitely understandable. You're not the only poster who's more than a little bit frustrated.....:furious::)

Ok, how he said it is not correct grammar... he should have said IS both times. If I say something "would be" correct, I am saying it IS correct.
Or to put it in a different way. Someone comes in asks "who ate all the cookies?" and I say, "that would be me." That means it was me.
Do you see what I'm saying? He is confirming that Casey IS now officially a suspect.

I just watched the video and the reporter asked, so is Casey now a suspect. The Captain didn't say yes. He said with all the evidence yada yada granted she WOULD BE a suspect. So he never said IS a suspect even once. I understand he is insinuating that she is but he didn't say Yes or she IS.
I want Casey to be arrested and tried for this case just like most of us here. I just can't figure out why the Capt. would respond the way he did if in fact her status or title or whatever has been changed to suspect from POI. Was he allowing the media to spin his response or maybe he isn't speaking grammatically correct as suggested above.

I seriously have a bad feeling that she won't make it into custody. I've had a feeling for a while now that if she found out she was in no way getting off on the homicide charges she would commit suicide.

Suicide is too easy for Casey IMO.

Other than that, I am VERY happy they finally are calling her a suspect.

I don't think she will... she is far too calm and has too much confidence to do that. she shows no signs of depression or instability. she is probably still confident that she won't be convicted.

"
Police sometimes use the term “person of interest” to describe a suspect. This term is used in part because of the negative associations with the word “suspect.” Many members of the general public confuse suspects with perpetrators, and when it is announced that someone is a suspect in a case, the public may assume that this means he or she actually committed the crime. A person of interest, on the other hand, is simply someone the police would like to have a conversation with."

read further in the article to delineate what a perp is vs a suspect...

The plea you enter in a criminal court has nothing to do with whether or not you actually, in reality, committed the crime, that is went through the actions and 'did it'.

Your plea has to do with whether or not your defense attorney or defense team thinks they can win, that is, get you off all charges, or get you off on lesser charges.

A Not Guilty plea doesn't mean at all that the person didn't do it, know they did it, and a number of other people (witnesses, videos) know they did it too.

Thank you, Bean! Makes more sense now! Boy, JB must be very confident in his lawyering abilities!

Exactly! Sociopaths are surprized when they get caught at anything! They always assume that they are soooo masterfully clever at manipulating reality!

yup, "pleading out" just has to do with the attorneys in the case, and what they can negotiate with the other side, not actual guilt or innocence. it's what it would be in their client's best interest to do, and the terms of the sentence. it's all negotiation tactics basically.

How can she say NOT guilty??? They have her on camera with her signature on the checks, right? This girl just blows my mind.
I don't know! But won't it be interesting to see what lies Casey has told Baez? Unless he does his research really well he is going to look like a flaming fool during trial!

She is the only person of interest, and if he was hesitant at all it is to keep people like Baez off his back. She is the only suspect.

plus, you know, suicide is soooo ugly - shooting yourself in the head totally ruins your hair and your sexy body. and she has the cutest outfits planned for court - why waste them? ;)

you know she has the soundtrack to "Chicago" running through her head right now...she's wondering who she'd rather be, Catherine Zeta-Jones or Renee Zellweger ;) .

LMAO "Attorney Jose Baez, Casey Anthony’s attorney, said it doesn’t make a difference whether investigators call her a “person of interest” or a “suspect.” He declined a request for a further interview. "

Ummm yah it does. It means it goes from suspicion closer to proof and ARREST of your client! Makes quite a difference Baez. What a lame spin. Shoulda hired someone else Casey, your guy makes about as much sense as :waitasec:

Isn't he a peach though?

I don't know how these obviously affected cops, sherrifs, talking heads, keep what they really want to say under wraps. I would be the wors, I would be calling her every name in the book.

IMHO, suicide isn't in her psychological makeup
