I am with everyone who believes that the D cannot explain her request for meds.

Her reaction is a draw for the prosecution and the defense.

The request for meds-huge for the prosecution. JMO.

Not trying to be snarky but it will probably sound that way. The difference would be:

1. "I can't believe this is happening" (to me) ...meaning "I can't believe they found the body, Lee was supposed to make sure that it was moved"

2. "I can't believe this is happening....OMG...they found my baby. She's dead. I can't believe she's dead. I miss her and love her so much. I hope this isn't really my baby cause I don't want to live if my baby is dead.

Get the difference?
I heard it was "This can't be happening now!"

Exactly!
I remember several occasions when posters (myself included!) freaked out and thought different unrelated discoveries might be Caylee.

Casey's reaction to ONLY this discovery speaks for itself, IMO.

Nancy Botwin, hi!

I concur. She didn't blink an eye when they thought they had discovered human bones at JBP, so why all the hyperventilation and 'drammmaaa' with this discovery?

The answer is obvious: She KNEW that Caylee was NOT in the river at the park, and she KNEW that Caylee WAS in the woods off Suburban.

(Although just BARELY off the road, just like someone would throw out a sack of garbage.)

I tell you something that I can't forgive her for doing - just IMHO of course - but when she looked into the camera at the jail at the obviously distraught George and told him "She's close, Dad, she's real close."

Now that's cold-blooded I don't care who you are.

It's a GAME to her, just a game.

Exactly! it gives me chills just to read it! She's a foul, foul creature.

I think she will have a meltdown in the courtroom. Reality is going to bite her in the butt, hard.

I don't know... maybe technically admissible, but doesn't it have to be more probative than unfairly prejudicial? I can't see any legitimate reason for a judge to let this in. I don't know the local FL rules of evidence, but I can't imagine that they would be that lenient.

The judge will definitely let it in if the prosecution seeks to introduce it. The law is pretty clear that just because something is incriminating doesn't mean it is unduly prejudicial. Unduly prejudicial speaks more to matters which could or are designed to invoke the sympathy of the jury toward the victim or inflame the jury. The evidence shows a consciousness of guilt because the remains had not been identified. The defense, of course, will be free to argue that it shows normal human emotion under the circumstances. My guess is that the defense will try to keep it out but when it gets in they will paint it red.

I doubt it, but if he did, it was brilliant!

Where has good ole LP been lately? I miss him. I wonder why he has never turned up on the witness list? Unfortunately, I think his days are numbered in this case. His relevance is waning...tho I love him and his down-to-earth part in all this.

I think that's where the glitch may be for bringing it up at trial. Now, if they had video of her non-reaction to other findings (Blanchard Park),and they could compare it to her reaction with the Suburban finding, maybe they would have something. But I don't think they do. I don't think it will be brought in at trial because attorneys will just argue,it was a natural reaction to a mother finding out about a possible finding of her dead daughter.

In a normal case, I would think that it definitely has the potential to be a two-edged sword for the prosecution. In this case, however, I don't feel that way for the sole reason that KC showed no emotion or concern whatsoever that her daughter was missing and kidnapped during her interviews with LE; thereafter in her initial phone call to her parents from the jail--the one in which her family was imploring her for info--her friend was crying--everyone was a bit hysterical about missing Caylee--except for KC who showed no concern over her missing daughter--only wanted her boyfriend's phone number and referred to the call as a waste--a huge waste. This is going to nail her.

And Jordan Almonds. I miss Jordan Almonds...save me a seat!
There ya go!

Source: Anthony's Reaction To Remains Taped

POSTED: 5:57 pm EST February 19, 2009

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Investigators arranged to videotape Casey Anthony's reaction in jail when she learned that a child's remains were found near her family's home, a source told WESH 2 News exclusively on Thursday.

Anthony doubled over twice and appeared to hyperventilate, according to the source who has seen the tape.

Investigators say the tape shows Anthony's consciousness of guilt, because it was days before the remains were identified as her daughter Caylee.

WESH 2 News reporter Bob Kealing reported Thursday that Casey Anthony was purposefully taken to a jail nurse's station in December and seated where she could see breaking news coverage on TV about the child's remains. A video camera documented her reaction, a source said.

It was more than a week before the remains were identified as Caylee, who was reported missing last July.

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Caylee's death. She is in Orange County Jail on no bond awaiting trial later this year.

LOL

Instead of giving her a sedative ....they should have just put some duct tape over her mouth and sent her back to her cell!

:woohoo: to that:clap:

Muzikman, really? Thanks for the great news:blowkiss:
