i agree tracy, coverage seems to have waned signifigantly since only yesterday...baffling right?

I try to see all sides of everything unless I think it's pure evil....
They are aching for their Granddaughter....I can't imagine how they can't have a temper. They don't want to imagine the worst and the media keeps bringing it up. (Probably what really happened but they can't accept it.)
Have you SEEN their tempers?! :waitasec:

Good morning everyone!!! Hey last night on Greta the roommate said that Casey would be on the phone with her mother discussing places that she would take Caylee. Do you think she was pretending to talk to Cindy on the phone?
I caught that myself! It sounded to me like she was probably actually talking to Cindy. From what he said, it sounded like a plausible conversation taking place. This is yet another reason I feel like Cindy saw Caylee during the time she was supposed to be "missing" and is lying about it.

Casey will not incriminate herself, she wants to save that shake, shake --

I don't think she'll confess either. I think she'll deny with the evidence right in front of her. Just like she did with the dog on a leash pooping in the neighbor's yard.

Two other thoughts/questions ---

If in fact it was $45,000 when did she start charging - WHAT was she charging - was it cash advances? Either way ---- $45,000 is a LOT!

I had my identity stolen last year - to a total of $70,000 in 30 days - and it was all traceable ridiculous purchases - big screen TV's - vacations -

And.....perhaps if she wouldnt have "stolen" the money --- they could post her bond --- although if she were my kid --- Tough Love

Isn't it possible she sent Caylee away with someone she trusts for safekeeping, stole all the money to cover their costs of hiding out? It might explain why she was near the airport and she might have gone off alone to cry out in the remote area afterwards.
I refuse to believe, without some damning evidence, that Casey could have hurt Caylee.

IMO this just doesn't make sense . If that were the case all Casey would have to do is tell Jose or LE that she sent Caylee away with ZG or whoever to keep her from Cindy . Give the location so LE could confirm that yes Caylee was safe . LE does not have to disclose Caylee's where abouts to the GP as Casey is Caylee's mother/legal guardian . Caylee is a minor child , there are confidentiality laws to protect minors .

It wouldn't be against the law if Casey just one day decided Cindy was to overbearing/controling and sent Caylee away with a responsible adult.

Why go the distance with this ????

Good Morning Sleuthers,

I am wondering if the sheriff's tv appearance (rather late, wasn't it?) is a good sign that LE is getting closer to solving this case?

He's an elected official and may not want to tie himself to a high profile case that is going nowhere.

Or could it be that he simply had been under pressure to speak to this?

He's an elected official, but leaving office in January when his term is done. I think he was under pressure to speak about this case. It won't affect any chances of him being reelected because he is not running.

Yeah, George is quiet violent from what I've seen. My point was, I honestly can't see in my mind that they would harm Caylee, so who better to hide Caylee out with than her own family? Especially if she's in danger?

I'm just not buying that Casey sent Caylee away for her own safety.

I understand this is your opinion. My opinion is George has every right to have a temper at this point. (I havent seen any violence)
If my granddaughter was missing and I was trying to suppress the thought that my own daughter did it and the media was hounding me, I would snap worse than him.
I said early on I have no idea how they are NOT freaking out. They have both been too calm for me.
I guess you never know if you haven't lived through it. I pray we never have to.

I would love to know where that tv station got their hands on any triangulation for the 17th when those records were not released by LE. Anyone know?

The airport scenario could be many things. She could have been sending off a package or getting one. She could have been dropping someone off or picking them up (as in one of her buddies from the bars). She could have been watching the airplanes and smoking pot for all we know. Maybe she loaned her phone out for the day and that person was at the airport. Too many options on that one, imo. They are doing the right thing by searching the area, but I am doubtful they will find anything.

her friend amy says that casey picked her up from the airport, but i dont remember when..

We all bring our different experiences into these discussions and formulate our opinions based on the facts of this case and what we know. I have a family member that had twins and didn't marry the father. She moved back home with them as infants so the family could help. She had a good job (unlike Casey), had a real sitter for their 1st year, that everyone knew (unlike Casey), then Grandpa took over. Things were good for the first year, then she started partying and not coming home (which could be like Casey).
No one was happy with her or the situation everyone was put in, especially Grandma.
I know for a fact, she wasn't happy with the flack she was getting, and pulled the pity party lament on me a few times, but not once did anyone threaten anyone using the kids. Everyone bucked up and put the kids first. She knew either Grandma, Grandpa, a
sister or brother living at home would 'give up' whatever they wanted to do to watch the
kids while she wasn't there. Was she selfish, oh you bet! Was there resentment, all the time. Did she ever worry about them, no, they were with people that loved them and loved her, despite what she put everyone thru. Luckily, things turned out well. She ended up with a great guy, that we all knew and she didn't because she was too busy running with her crowd from work, instead of the circle we ran with around home. They got married when the twins were close to going into high school. The twins are now in their mid-twenties and very successful.

This experience has had me up and over the fence a few times in this case. Initially, I was sure Casey did something with Caylee, but I wasn't so sure Caylee was dead. I was consumed with the dynamics of the family, especially when Cindy started in with her version of things. All the players in this case are saying things that make no sense
and it still goes on.

As the timeline tightens and facts are coming out, I am still not able to stick with a theory. Logic tells me Caylee is gone and at the hands of her mother. But I am still waffling. I can't get past my hinky feeling about Cindy and George. Cindy has changed her stories too many times. Did she tuck Caylee into bed on the 15th? Did George really see them on the 16th? Why did Casey really make up all the crazy stuff she did?
Why is she putting her family thru this? How did any of them let Caylee get put in the middle?

These questions torture me! Thank goodness we're heading into the weekend and that LE has told the Anthonys to chill, it may give us the break we need here.

Taking a deep breath, now.

I'm one of those holding out hope that Caylee is still alive and that no mother could be so cold, cruel and heartless as to be out partying while their child was missing, unless they knew she was safe and protected.
That being said, if her phone was pinged on the 17th near the airport, might she have been taking Caylee and the nanny to the airport so that they could fly out of the area?

I realize I'm reaching and just grasping at straws, but I'm trying to think of any explanation that doesn't leave Caylee dead.

When you look at the facts in this case Casey appears to be cold, cruel & heartless. If she were a warm loving person she couldn't / wouldn't "NEVER" put her parents thru this horrible ordeal. The phone call where she called Cindy & was talking about seeing her on TV, said it all to me... I knew then if Caylee was found alive it would be a miracle.

Also LE can't find 'ANY' nanny.....

As I recently told someone in email ' My 34 yr. old son takes a plane every couple months to see his Goddaughter and her Dad, my son's best friend in Arizona. The flight is an hour at most.
I don't 'rest' until I get that call from my son that he has landed safetly and is in the rental car on his way to see his best bud and Goddaughter.
From the time he leaves the house til he's in rental car....3 hours tops and I have son on my mind/concerned/praying for a safe flight, all 3 hours.

Then we see Casey.....31 DAYS of not knowing if her child is safe!
Everyone has their own preception of what 'normal' is.....I can't even wrap my mind around that scenerio...it's just too, too um... 'not normal' in my world.

Casey is just not smart. She's going to get caught. She really thought LE would just swallow her job at Universal like her parents did without checking it out. She believed it would be enough to throw out a few names, that don't exist, took them to locations that panned out to nothing... She actually tried to say she was doing her own investigation!!!! I think she left traces all over the place. LE is just picking up the pieces and putting it all together for a solid case that hopefully ends up with a DP conviction. The only people that have their heads buried in the Casey pit of lies are her parents.

All good points. We all would like to see that one answered but it may be a while.

personally, i dont understand why police and volenteers are not searching the local landfills..i know thats where i would go if i were in the orlando area..

hahahahahahah! so funny. i needed a laugh.
