Something that is bothering me now..
http://www.local6.com/news/17313064/detail.html

Okay, I understand that the LP is now second guessing himself. Why in this world would he even have RD escort Casey anywhere?
I think its time for them to go home. Allow TP to decide wether its time to put her butt back in jail or not, and allow this crazy family to protect her.
There is no point in putting RD in the line of fire from reporters, Baez, Casey, or her warped family any longer.
I went to this link and Leonard said the same things he did yesterday.

What really upsets me is that on the right side of the page there is a picture of Casey being lead out a door by Rob. In it she has a huge smile on her face.
I am so disgusted by this girl. :furious:

The arrest affidavit was made public way before he rode into town. And it's his nephew, not his son. :)
Lanie

Thanks I meant nephew. Gosh I am so lost and confused.. Please virtually kick me. LOL.

The cop was not just "Lying."
He had an intimate relationship with someone who has been charged with a felony. What if he had to go interview someone on the case? There's a huge conflict of interest in his seeing her and then he LIED about it. I think he's lucky to have gotten off with a simple firing.

IIRC, the reports said last night he was a deputy...one said he was still on employment probation....IOW...a Rookie. IMO, he would not be interviewing witnesses in this investigation.

I know!! wtf!

I have a question and sorry if this has been discussed but i have looked everywhere and can't find if the police interviewed or even found Jeff Hopkins or Juliette Lewis? Is it in the docs? Thanks

LOL, that is a good point. It's like I know in my head what I feel they would think the difference is, but I don't know how to explain it.
Hmm, like maybe his lies didn't really interfere with their investigation, no harm, no foul, while Casey's lies are impeding the police with finding a missing little 3 year old girl, so a much more serious thing.
Lanie

Casey's charge was for filing a false report.

The deputy may have lied when asked about the nature of his relationship, but didn't actually file a statement to that effect.

My guess is this will be one of the reasons Casey does not trust LE.

Would they be able to tell if bones were broken at the time of death or post-mortem?

That's a good question. Bones are living tissue in our bodies. I would think that if the death were related to the broken bones found it could be determined when the break occurred; or if the break may have resulted in a death. I'm thinking of how a person can be determined to have drowned or been placed in water after death, i.e. water found in lungs. Maybe with the blood circulation that bones have there is a way to determine this.

Well, I still don't get it. He gave up a very good career and as a trainee should have been smart enough to know cops would find out. All for a quick roll or two in the hay. He is an Iraq veteran. I am not surprised that he had sex with her. I guess just shocked that he thought he could get away with lying about it.

I swear it's the water in Orlando, well in parts of Orlando anyway. Too many people are lying!

I don't even know where to begin commenting on this statement. On second thought...it's not even worth it.

If you have some knowledge of why, please do. It will be worth it to me, for my edification. TIA

jeff hopkins yes

juliette lewis no

Cindy said somewhere, and I don't have a link, they got the notice in the mail, but since it was on Sunday (and I don't think the mail was delivered on Sunday, that's just when they got it) they couldn't pick it up that day. IIRC, she says what day they picked up the actual letter, but I don't remember what she said.
As a side note, I get registered/certified mail from time to time, and I don't always go pick it up immediately, it depends on my schedule, and I would have to get to the post office before 4:30. The card usually doesn't even say who it is from, don't remember if that is certified or registerd, sometimes it is a card they use over and over, and it is just a notification of a letter to be picked up.
Lanie

It is the way I remember it too Lanie.

I believe Cindy said the notice about the letter was stuck on their front door and they did not notice it until Sunday. From some of the video of the Anthony's house, they have an attached 2 car garage. They probably pull into the garage and enter the house through the service door.

Casey isn't helping anyone EVER in locating her daughter. Her daughter is dead by her own hand in my opinion and Casey will NEVER admit to that ever. That is part of her sickness. She will take what happened to her grave. If the mystery is to be solved, LE or someone else will have to do it. Casey doesn't want her child found, ever. Just more to implicate her and show what a liar she is.

I wonder if Tony might keep her out, in the hope she might aid TES in their search for Caylee.

I'd definitely like to hear his thoughts.

Go to the Documents forum and scroll down to you see "Index of Sorts". There is a breakdown of what is where. It's not perfect but it will at least get you to where you need to be.

its only the water leading to the anthony's house...maybe they have well water

I know this is probably way off, but it just keeps coming up for me over and over...Puerto Rico. I just keep thinking there is some deeper connection in all this to PR. with Amy's trip and all. I know if somebody had taken Caylee on a plane, LE would have known it by now (airline records, etc.) but maybe she was trying to give her away to or thru somebody in PR. I just can't shake this so I had to put it out there.

Casey just doesn't seem real worried that Caylee is going to be found, that tells me she is not in the area close by.

I can't get past the decomp smell in the trunk, BUT, if there is a chance Caylee's alive, I'm open to listen to any possible scenario. Picking up on yours, let's say what if she did turn Caylee over to someone....that someone could have easily drove out of Florida and caught a plane somewhere else, through to Atlanta or another hub, then back to Puerto Rico. LE would have to subpeona every airline in every city of the country for manifests and CCTV footage to find anything. And even then, if a woman was to get on a plane with a 2 year old, that 2 year old doesn't carry an ID, so that woman could say the child's name is "Minnie Mouse" and the airline wouldn't know any different...

So, possibly his two interviews with detectives were not really interviews but just water cooler chats and do not carry the same burden of required truth?
Sounds a bit fishy but I guess I can go with it.

I SO agree... Part of why I think she never fessed up while she was in jail.

Casey lied to investigators and was arrested. In the same case, new Tony lied to investigators and was not. Do you only get arrested if it is a big fat whopper? Do little lies also break the law? If they do not arrest him, will Baez use this as part of her defense, that she is just being picked on?

Future = green baloney on day old bread with tossed salad

I guess if LE Tony lied about losing his child, he would have gotten arrested too.
