I wondered about that too. Two things came to mind. They had been out of town and just got back to their mail and opened it on Sunday. IIRC this could be the reason for getting that letter. Maybe a neighbor picked up the mail and signed for it???

Cindy said somewhere, and I don't have a link, they got the notice in the mail, but since it was on Sunday (and I don't think the mail was delivered on Sunday, that's just when they got it) they couldn't pick it up that day. IIRC, she says what day they picked up the actual letter, but I don't remember what she said.
As a side note, I get registered/certified mail from time to time, and I don't always go pick it up immediately, it depends on my schedule, and I would have to get to the post office before 4:30. The card usually doesn't even say who it is from, don't remember if that is certified or registerd, sometimes it is a card they use over and over, and it is just a notification of a letter to be picked up.

I am just so torn with this case each day that passes. I find that my opinions and theories have changed so much that deep down I am so confused. Does anyone else feel as confused as me? I just want justice to be served whether its finding Caylee alive or not. I want the truth to come out. I have kids of my own and there is no doubt I would risk ANYTHING be whatever that is to find my child.

That is one of my many concerns. If Caylee is no longer alive it is going to be very hard to prove much with all this time that has passed. Soooo sad.
Unless there are some broken bones associated with her death.

My husband's 'step-dad' is 33, my husband is 32. Kind of weird, but I must say that he is a good guy and although my husband has made it very clear to him that he is in no way a father figure and he better not try and act like, they get along great.

My husband is older than my step-dad was too. Though there wasn't much "getting along" between them.

My stepfather had Antisocial personality disorder and was also a crack addict. He never held down a job, did drugs with my siblings, had sex with my sister, stole countless amounts of money from not only my mom but my grandmother as well. Was in and out of jail, he even robbed a store he worked at for less than a month. My mom used to hide her check book under my mattress when she went to sleep so he couldn't find it, needless to say I was scared at night and slept with my door locked and light on.

Thank G0d he finally killed himself about 5 years ago after his last drug binge while my mom was in the hospital from a suicide attempt.

Anyway, back on topic LOL

Casey lied to investigators and was arrested. In the same case, new Tony lied to investigators and was not. Do you only get arrested if it is a big fat whopper? Do little lies also break the law? If they do not arrest him, will Baez use this as part of her defense, that she is just being picked on?

Future = green baloney on day old bread with tossed salad

KC was also charged with child neglect, not just with lying to investigators.

It probably wasn't a sworn statement he gave. hers was.

OK Can we move on now? Sorry I brought it up. Just felt like no one had covered that and it should be said.

So where are we with the case today? Anything been on the news that is not about an ex-First Lady/Senator/Presidential Candidate? LOL

Unfortunately yes. Someone named Gustav. Ok, something named Gustav.

I'm guessing we may hear next to nothing beginning late weekend through next week unless something HUGE breaks because it may well be wall-to-wall hurricane coverage competing with wall-to-wall convention2 coverage

I think the fact that George filed for a divorce might speak to that a bit altho we in all fairness do not know the circumstances behind it. However...there had to be some trouble in the marriage, imo.
I don't know what credibility to afford Rick, Cindy's alleged brother, but he stated that the divorce issue was due to George's online gambling habit.

I didn't go on TP's thread last night to see if he logged on. Anyone know if he's considering revoking bail? I still say yes!

Something that is bothering me now..

Okay, I understand that the LP is now second guessing himself. Why in this world would he even have RD escort Casey anywhere?
I think its time for them to go home. Allow TP to decide wether its time to put her butt back in jail or not, and allow this crazy family to protect her.
There is no point in putting RD in the line of fire from reporters, Baez, Casey, or her warped family any longer.

Yep I agree.. Time to pack up the Winnebago. IIRC I heard someone on NG last night say that he would have had some of this info (from the 400 docs) before he posted the bond. Is that true? It seems to me LP got way in over his head. But he did say it is up to his son whether or not they will revoke her bond but he didnt think he would.

LOL, that is a good point. It's like I know in my head what I feel they would think the difference is, but I don't know how to explain it.
Hmm, like maybe his lies didn't really interfere with their investigation, no harm, no foul, while Casey's lies are impeding the police with finding a missing little 3 year old girl, so a much more serious thing.

I know this is probably way off, but it just keeps coming up for me over and over...Puerto Rico. I just keep thinking there is some deeper connection in all this to PR. with Amy's trip and all. I know if somebody had taken Caylee on a plane, LE would have known it by now (airline records, etc.) but maybe she was trying to give her away to or thru somebody in PR. I just can't shake this so I had to put it out there.

Casey just doesn't seem real worried that Caylee is going to be found, that tells me she is not in the area close by.

I don't even know where to begin commenting on this statement. On second thought...it's not even worth it.

They may even tie together. Gustav may hit south LA, like Katrina, during the Republican Convention. Ironic, huh?

The arrest affidavit was made public way before he rode into town. And it's his nephew, not his son. :)

LOL. IMHO, if simply lying was a crime, we'd all be in jail. Personally I don't think his lie affected the investigation one way or the other. Unless he saw or interacted with K-lee at some point in time. I think his lie was an attempt to distance himself. Of course, IMO, it also indicates he knows very little about how much a police investigation can undercover!

I wonder if Tony might keep her out, in the hope she might aid TES in their search for Caylee.

I'd definitely like to hear his thoughts.
