I think CA's brain is mush, b/c I do not believe she truly believes that Caylee lives + breathes and is somewhere out there in the world, but she's just gonna let it go at "I believe Caylee is still alive". Pa--lease! She says that every now + then b/c she still cannot accept(or admit to the world) that HER daughter killed HER GRAND DAUGHTER. But subconsciously she knows that it can't be true that Caylee is still alive, she just can't get that truth to her conscious mind yet. That's my take on her convoluted beliefs anyway.

I am waiting to review video of Cindy saying in court today that she "still believe(s) Caylee is alive." It was a very sad moment, IMO, and I recall she appeared wistful rather than truly convicted of the truthfulness of what she said.

ITA. Shortly after Caylee's remains were identified, I saw a website that appeared to be a page of varying scenarios of what might have happened to Caylee. This phrase on it I found to be quite interesting: "Cadavers stolen, height of child based on bones, foot size, old injuries to long bones, tests from tooth which could have come from live Caylee?"

I got the impression the writer was insinuating that the remains were not Caylee's, but were made to appear that way by persons unknown (possibly even imaginary people)! I have no idea of the identity of the owner of that site, but this might give us an idea of why Cindy was still looking for a live Caylee as late as 2 months ago.

It's my opinion that Cindy does not really believe Caylee is still alive, but wants the public to think there is a possibility Caylee is alive to give "reasonable doubt" to a potential jury.

I remember that "stolen cadaver" blather. Perhaps its time to remind those who ardently believe in such wild conspiracy theories that it's time to replace their aluminum hats. What disrespect for Caylee. Let her rest in peace!!

I think it's all down to the almighty $. When Caylee was found donations to her 'foundation' dried up... if she starts the 'Caylee is out there' B.S. they can get back out there in some parking lot and start collecting again.

My understanding is Dr G did save a small bone for future testing if needed. Believe it was a femur.

She is an RN. She understands how people are identified by DNA and she knows there was no doubt, that it was Caylee.

Thankfully....after seeing Cindy actually say it, I don't believe she actually believes it, it's more in the way that you are after someone very close to you dies, when you are going along in your normal life then catch yourself thinking about them as if they're alive then have a jolt and remember that they're gone. As she said it she screwed her face up, as if to say she knows it's nuts, in a 'funny how the mind plays tricks on you' sort of way.

Mind you, none of that explains why she wanted Mort to look into a Caylee sighting in New York ~ that makes no sense whatsoever.

Cindy is mired in " magical thinking " common among the cluster B's .....
They see the world through a prism of denial, delusion & fanasty .
A dr would have to determine how seriously detached from reality she is.
Cindy wants Caylee to be alive and KC to be mother of the year and her family
a role model for normal .
Lets hope that at sometime someone enters her life who will actually help her
not enable the delusion.

They're in a very serious case of denial. The room remains untouched, the gifts are still there -- as if she's coming back. Her handprint on the mirror.

I know there are folks out there that tend to do the same thing - but after 2 years, it is time to move in -- even at a very slow pace. The A's (IMHO) seem to be going in the opposite direction by getting tatoos and what not.

This is just sad,I dont care how angry I get at Cindy, she did not kill Caylee, and as a mom she is torn between her daughter's life and her grandbabies life. Cindy did not ask to be in this siuation, and her mind can't except losing her grandbaby and possably her daughter, this whole thing could be solved and over with if Caylee is still alive, so that is what her mind is hanging on to. There is a huge diffrence between what your mind does and how your heart feels. Look at woman who are abused, their mind knows they need to leave but thier heart still loves the abuser. Same thing applies here, Cindy's heart knows Caylee is gone, but her mind doesn't accept it, because as I think George said If Caylee is gone than so is Casey and Cindy's mind just cant deal with that. That is SOOO heart breaking to me. As much as I dont like Cindy and as much as I wish she would stand up for Caylee, my heart tells me she just can't and that is sad.

I agree. I read somewhere a long time ago that when a missing child is found dead after a period of time, that sometimes/often the parent/parents have trouble reconciling or accepting the death. Because they last saw a living breathing child, but what they got back was a skeleton, a set of unrecognizable bones. And that a part of them always wants to disbelieve that it could be the remains of their child. It isn't that they don't know their child is dead, or even that they don't accept that their child is dead. It is just hard to accept it inside, emotionally.
