I don't think that's how the warning from the guys in the bus shelter was portrayed on the CIA episode. I believe they called out their warning to Ciara (I think they were also a bit drunk themselves and whatever they said to her was liable to be on the cheeky side - hence she gave them the finger) as she was passing by, then they noticed her speaking to the car occupants when she was further up the road. Is this how others recall that re-enactment?

That is also my understanding.

The cars

3 guys in a car saw SS, turned right onto the Hwy and noticed another car didn't come through the lights. The occupant/s of that car never came forward.

3 guys at HJs bus stop saw CG talking to someone in a car. The occupant/s of that car never came forward.

What are the chances that 2 different cars don't come forward? This still to me suggest the girls got into a car and there wasn't a blitz attack. Which then suggests that the CSK is not Karrakatta man and the "forensic link" is nothing more than a police strategy.

The UK have Jack the Ripper
The US have Zodiac
We have the CSK

There was a blitz attack. That happened in the car. Interesting that a quite a few comments back that someone mentioned a guy faking an English accent hey... in a fake taxi or rather an off duty one is what I state. The same guy that took the army guy back to Swanbourne Barracks because it was a taxi. Plod need to wake up a bit & see who left the taxi industry in 1997, who might even be Italian. Cause Plod don`t have anything else to go on IMHO. Maybe you guys can nip down to Rowe & nearby parks & see if any handbags were discarded in the bushes.

This is the precise reason some posters stomp on inaccuracies. An inaccuracy is passed off as fact, someone grabs it and uses it as a base fact and extrapolates it into something else. Some new people join who don't understand the complexities of the case and take it at face value and before we know it the discussion evolves into the deep reaches of unlikelihood and then the nutters come in and thread wrecked.

Regarding the Karrakata event.
I can find reports of the victim saying it was a Van
And another saying a commercial vehicle.
Where has the Panel Van statement come from or am I missing a news article?

There's an early news article about that Papertrail was nice enough to supply.

Why the difference in reporting? Maybe initially police weren't confident it was a panel van so changed their statement to "a van of some sort" to stop the public discounting anything that wasn't strictly a panel van.

so you put the claremont serial killer in the same boat ?

Is that cause he hasn't been caught ?
Yes and yes. Also add because all 3 are serial killers (as opposed to Beaumonts or Wanda murders which we don't know if the perps are serial killers or not) and all cases are intriguing. Each case has a number of worthy suspects all with pros and cons.

I'm intrigued by the policing on this case , or there lack of , I wonder if there even on the right track , they thrown many people under the bus on this one

It's hard to know what has happened with any certainty. There is no doubt that police leaked details of LW, PW and SR. LW made himself a suspect because of his stalker behaviour. So do SR because he lied about having SS in his cab. PW on the other hand could consider himself unlucky assuming he isn't the CSK. Who knows what happened with Judoman but assuming he is the POI and he's not the CSK, he's been stitched up as well. Police don't and never have cared about collateral damage. They'll expose a snitch to the snitchee or expose a suspect without any duty of care.

Both WAPOL and Caporn's track record don't instil a lot of confidence and true to police culture, they'll think they are hard done by. Police typically think they should be given ultimate powers by the constitution and unconditional support by the people.

On the other side of the coin, can we blame them for honing in on LW as he looked a likely candidate. Have they really botched this investigation?

20 years says it's a long time between drinks , imagine if the perp has frolicked since honing his skills , killers don't stop killing do they it's like a apprenticeship , he/she would be a grand master now

Who do you suppose he's been killing in the 20 years since? I'm open to a change of MO and there's a number of women he may have done. But my gut feeling is he stopped because he was being investigated.

My gut feeling is he moved , that's really it what would I know , I don't have to speculate like some

Yep, like back to the Euro zone. End of the investigation in Perth. Euro here we go... Can`t you all see it is going nowhere for you all?

What's the common denominator ?
Dunno I'm not privy to police work but I'm insightfull to crappy story mongering , especially when the story's have no merit
like recent articles , give someone a way to air there grievances and they'll sing from the roof top

A detective who worked on the Claremont serial killer case in Western Australia says a rape in a Perth cemetery in 1995, one year before the first of the murders, could be “incredibly important” to the investigation.

The Post newspaper in Perth has reported that detectives believe the killer of three women last seen in Claremont also abducted a 17-year-old girl from Gugeri street in 1995 then raped her at Karrakatta cemetery. The newspaper speculates the rapist is the same man who murdered Ciara Glennon, a 27-year-old lawyer, in March 1997.

Can you be more specific? Who are you talking about? What grievances?
