I nearly bought a VS Commodore SEDAN in 1995/1996 in Ewing St, Auctions, Bentley, Perth. It was a Telstra car. Top nick too. $15,000 from memory. Maybe $13,000. So hard to remember. But I decided not to get another vehicle loan at the time. Now back to task; Did the CSK have family that had a car dealership yard or maybe a hire car. One particular Claremont based prostitute

I read DM's book and am quite sure she didn't disclose where said hooker lived or was based.

It seems to me that Club Bayview was the perp's initial 'zone' - - 2 rapes 1992 near Swanbourne railway station; both victims had been to Club Bayview, 1 attempted rape near Claremont Subway victim 1/12/94 had been to Club Bayview, Karrakatta victim 12/2/95 had been to Club Bayview and Sarah Spiers 27/1/1996 at Club Bayview and female witness made statement to WA Police about man offering her a lift after she exited at same time as SS; with SS turning left and witness turning right on exiting Club Bayview, that 'zone' includes the phone booth in Stirling Road that SS used.

It's not a physical zone. Swanbourne is a 15 minute walk from Club Bay View. The girls could have come from anywhere. It's not like he was waiting there for girls from Club to walk past as there's no way of telling to start, and I'm sure he would have attacked the girls if they were walking home from a party.

His "zone" would have been a time zone. As in 2am-ish. Streets are dark as street lights turned off at 1:17 am every night. Less people. He's not going to get girls walking home from conti simply because it closed hours earlier. He's going to get girls walking home from a night out - either Club or a party or a social function.

Then after SS's disappearance, the Club setup a taxi rank in St Quentin Ave and cctv was installed outside the Conti and bouncers escorted girls from the Conti to Club Bayview (newspaper reports) and they installed a taxi desk. Was cctv also installed outside Club Bayview ? Why I ask is both establishments were owned (in partnership with others) by Sainken.

After SS perp then sexually attacked woman in carpark off Church Lane and at rear of Club Bayview. Look on google earth to see how close this location is to Hungry Jacks (relevance below) ! Perp has then moved his attention to the Conti area and there was a taxi rank operating on Gugeri opposite the Conti (newspaper reports) but Jane just stood outside the Conti so this shows (in my mind) that she was not waiting for a taxi.

Claremont is bordered by Stirling Rd, Stirling Hwy, Leura and Gugeri. All 3 girls went missing from the perimeter. If he also did Karra, his other victim was a few hundred meters from the perimeter. Maybe he did Swannie rapes too? Suggests over time he moved closer to the centre of Claremont.

This has nothing to do with targeting Club specifically at one time and then Conti at another. I don't think he was too bothered as to which establishment the girls had been to.

For CG abduction perp has moved totally away from cctv cameras and abducted on the highway with CG witnessed opposite Hungry Jacks; although there is cctv footage of CG inside the Conti, it has never been released ! Why ?

For what reason should it be released?

MM1 is 1st captured on cctv (that we know of) at 11.58.59. How long would it take to drive ex Eric Street or Marine Parade to Bay View Terrace, park and be exiting Club Bayview at 11.58.59 ? If MM1 is indeed MM, then has MM1 entered the Conti through the back door, walked straight through and exited the door at 11.58.59; would the timing be right ? Same question goes for MM but he 1st appeared on cctv at 00.01.41 outside the Conti (no entry into or exiting Conti that we know of).

1. There is no public back door at Conti. I showed you a rough sketch. You should already know this.
2. LW is not MM or MM1. It's just not him in any way shape or form.

SS and JR had attended OBH which is situated at the corner of Eric Street. Then we have the rape victim from 1989 ex OBH as well.

I note that Marshall details that one of LW's closest friends died in mid 1995 and that he gave up (cold turkey) drinking alcohol (had been a heavy drinker) and smoking immediately after this death. What was this death caused by; road accident perhaps in the white panel van with someone responsible driving under the influence of alcohol ?

Note: Newspaper article from 2010 (?) police are testing cigarette butts located in Julie Cutler's Fiat sports vehicle and apparently those butts are of a different brand than she used. Could LW be involved there ???

He went to uni with her. Lived in Cottesloe. Can't be ruled out.

Police also collected cigarette butts from the CG scene (detailed in press reports).

Can you please post. This is the first time I have heard this.

Something about MM's (and MM1's) hair tells me it may be a wig (perhaps human hair). If the DNA evidence left behind on CG and the Karrakatta rape victim is hair, then that hair may be from the wig and that is why they cannot link their suspect DNA to the forensic evidence.

Did he walk to the Claremont brothel

There was and is no Claremont brothel.

sometimes up to 3 times a day ? How did he manage to land on the prostitutes' parent's doorstep, by foot ? Did he go to work at Department of Main Roads in East Perth using public transport ? How did he get to the casino ? What kind of vehicle did his parents have ? Did he ever use that vehicle ? He was one of 5 children; what kinds of vehicles did they have ? His friend that died in 1995; what kind of vehicle did they have ?

Strange how he just happened to obtain his driver's license just 2 days after SS. He would have had to sit for a totally new drivers' examination and driving test. P 122 - - Lost his license in 1984 for drink driving x 3rd conviction (2 before he was 20) and became eligible to drive again in mid 1994 which means he would have had to commence the process from the beginning.

He did have a vehicle at the time SS disappeared !

1. He has a vehicle because he bought it a few weeks before SS
2. You assume that he went to casino, brothels etc so must have had car. He sure did have a car but this all happened in 1998-ish when police learned of him via video cameras set up in Claremont. They didn't know who he was when SS disappeared so weren't following him to brothels and casinos and the likes.

I don't believe LW committed these, or any other crimes. Evidence is frequently misinterpreted.

I have watched and read hundreds of interviews and books about serial killers. That doesn't make me an expert, but LW is like no other serial murderer I've ever seen--in any way.

That could explain why he hasn't been caught though...

Most major serial killer investigations turn up suspects who seem linked in many aspects, but who end up being innocent.

What aspects of the profile does LW fit?

LW's DNA does not match the DNA in Karrakatta or CG.

I never meant to imply that it was a police officer, or that the police were involved in any way. It was a theoretical discussion only, and I apologise if my meaning was in any way misconstrued. I have no evidence that any individual police officer had any involvement in this matter, and I would be shocked if that was ever proven to be the case. I regard the WAPOL to have the utmost honesty and integrity, and I know of no occasion where they have ever acted in an unlawful manner, either by action, or inaction.

In the late 1980's there were a group of Year 12 girls from one of the private girls schools literally just up the street on Stirling Hwy that went into business and were supplementing their pocket money in a highly professional manner until word got out and the police became involved. It was a terribly regrettable incident, and all put down to a big misunderstanding. Rumor was they had rented out a small unit, and were doing very well.

Apart from that, there are brothels or private escorts operating in just about every Perth suburb.

Background Information:
Campbell Barracks is an easy walking distance from where Jane Rimmers car was found and can be entered from the beach, and both it and Irwin Barracks have extensive areas of bushland either on site or immediately adjacent to them that would be totally deserted at night.
Irwin is about a 10 minute train ride to Claremont, and is literally across the railway line from Karrakatta Cemetery. Irwin can also be entered through unattended gates, and is largely deserted after hours. Campbell is residential, I am not sure if Irwin was back then. It is possible that Irwin at the time was essentially deserted at night, particularly on weekends, apart from a couple of sentries - but I speculate.

Both sites have extensive collections of vans and white colored unmarked vehicles.

During the time you mentioned I went to one of the private schools and socilised every weekend with girls from the school you mentioned. Never heard about it. I'm going to call you on that.

Reminds me of many years ago of the handguns for sale incident at prestigious Guildford Grammar College. Word got out & police called on the family. The police got them back. Parents would have pulled their kids from GG in droves if that story got out. I know because I saw one of the guns being fired in the Swan Valley. A rellie of mine knew the students dad. The father said if my son gets expelled I`m going straight to Channel 7. One h/g was never registered in Australia. One was a 357 & the other was .22 True story. Amazing what never goes to media hey.

I think he could have been using the train to get around. There was a brothel right next to the station at Claisebrook. Caseys, 56 Edward St., and La Cherie was right next to McGiver. Both close to where he worked in East Perth. Poor lonely public servant would be pretty much invisible in the crowds. The casino has a station too.

His biggest danger would be being beaten to death on the train for his Reeboks.

And just out of interest, Scott Print is on Aberdeen Street just near La Cherie.

Right now on Google there seems to be no clothesline. The common areas have been refreshed since 1996 and I seem to recall a really stark concrete car park at the back, possible raised double story car park.

That photo is the Devil's Garden book cover (front); only just realized it ! It was captured on 31 August 1998 at LW's unit complex by the look of it but looking on the 1995 landgate aerial shot it doesn't appear to be Pearse at all; I think it's Deane.
