Why did JM bring up the phone sex? Lots of people "fake" during phone sex. I missed his point on that one.

I think she'd already been planning to go to UT or at least trying to lead Travis to believe she was going. She mentioned it in the May 10th sex tape, but only said she was going to see friends and catch a meeting. I think what was PAINFULLY missing on that tape was that he did NOT say "Oh, really? Come see me instead."

Does anyone else remember mention of this in the tape?

I think her plan to see Ryan made her realize it was the only timing she had to get Travis before he started traveling for the summer because in that tape, he'd mentioned going to california, going up to washington state I think, possibly visiting her (which we know was off after may 26th), going to Brazil, etc.

IMO, everything she did from the time she told Travis she was moving back to California until the time when he finally called her out on everything May 26th was a huge manipulation to get him to miss her, want her, and ask her to come back and marry him.

It was obvious to her that she wasn't getting anywhere with him while she was living in Arizona since he was dating other women. So she told him she was returning to California. He didn't tell her not to. So then she packed up her things and gave him another chance to ask her to stay by showing up at his house with all of her belongings in a Uhaul and then proceeding to stay with him for another 5 days. What was her excuse for that? I can't remember. But how convenient. Now she was homeless and all of her stuff was nicely packed up and ready to be moved in if he'd just ask her to stay.

I'd imagine at that point, after the 5 days, it must have been him asking her when she was leaving. So she finally left. But once back in California she was still manipulating him via phone and email. I've always assumed that this is when the "phone sex" between them started. Prior to that what would be the point since she was readily available for in person sex at any time. Still manipulating him with sex but over the phone now. Recording it that one time was definitely her planning to use it against him if he wasn't going to start realizing that he needed and wanted her to return.

Sky Hughes mentioned on Dr Drew that at one time she wrote a fake email to herself, supposedly from a man stalking her, and showed it to Travis. He was worried for her. In the email this "stalker" went on and on about how beautiful and amazing she was and how Travis didn't deserve her. She was hacking into his email and social media accounts all along and probably even more so after she moved to CA. Probably writing things to herself from him for more of her ammunition that he was "her boyfriend" against any woman whom he was dating. And it appears as though he thought she may have been hacking into his IM account and following along with conversations he was having with other people.

And she did something just prior to May 26th that brought on that text rant. He said she was caught. He told her she had until the next day to get him "this person's" information. He told her this was worse than the "magical email that a mysterious man that she'd never seen before wrote for her". Not sure if that was referring to the email Sky mentioned or some other manipulative game she tried to pull on him. And in that text, he was demanding the truth from her. About what, I guess we'll never know.

Kind of ironic that this whole trial now is based on a series of lies as well.

IKR? Matt or ANYONE that can say they knew of abuse or the whole sick pedo allegations. You KNOW they would drag in anyone off the street who would agree to say those things --- so why NO ONE but JA? Because it all is an attempt to murder the only thing left, his reputation. ( I REALLY wish Juan could tell the jury about the motion for a plea agreement where she promised to trash Travis if they didn't agree!)

Whatever his reason for chuckling, his demeanor in the courtroom is one of no class and disrespect. IMO

Yeah, there definitely was such a motion and it used nakedness as an example of something that would suggest defenselessness iirc, but I could be wrong about the exact word.

Their demeanor doesn't bother me much, although I mostly listen rather than watch so it's possible I miss a lot of what people don't like.

It reminds me of a station here, CBC. Everyone turns on CBC to watch HNIC, then avoids the station the rest of the week. :floorlaugh:

Thank goodness I wasn't the only one so disturbed when I saw the live band duo performing outside the courthouse on HLN. I thought why don't they just have floats and throw mardi gras beads?

I don't know what I think about the CDs. I want to say if you're packing, why would you pack these CDs, just as JM pointed out. Others have mentioned that they have things in their bags that just stay with them all the time because they never clean their bags out.

But, I do kind of believe it's a stretch that she moved away, packed her stuff, unpacked her stuff and set up a new life in Yreka, and these CDs of her old life with Travis somehow stayed in her bag that she carries with her all the time. The idea that the CDs got in her bag in the first place is in question for me. Who made the CD and where? If she made it at home, which I assume because she's a "photographer" and probably has software, why was it in her bag? who was she going to show it to or where was she taking it that it would just "be in her bag" incidentally?

I assume this was a trip she took with Travis before she moved. When was this trip? How is it that Travis didn't get copies or didn't see this CD before she moved? Could it be because the CD hadn't been made yet and she made the CD while she was in Yreka with the plan of giving it to him when he visited? Then when there was no hope of him visiting, she did put it in her bag to take on her deadly trip? Maybe to "remind" him of their good times on trips so she could talk him into letting her go to cancun? I'm not saying take Mimi's ticket. I'm saying BUY Jodi her own ticket.

Could it be that Travis actually did throw that CD against the wall because he knew it was a ploy?
