“We plan on staying out here for two weeks. If there isn't any luck at that time, then as the snow starts to go away we will come back again,” Kessinger said.

The group has a specially trained team of cadaver dogs that can pick up a scent on something as small as a tooth.

“We have the tools. We have the K-9's and one K-9 is worth 40 people,” Kessinger said.

The group hopes to find the teen. At the very least, they hope to rule out areas to help focus future searches.

I would be more inclined to see it your way if the show is focused on Dylan. By insisting that Mark appear tends to make me feel that Dylan wont be the focus. MOO.

Mark is INTRICATE in finding Dylan because he was (as far as we know) the last person to see Dylan. Am I making sense?

I hope they'll update from time to time at least areas searched, so we can cross those areas off , so to speak.

I wouldn't expect to hear much... unless something is found. You can read more about SAR searches in the SAR forum in the parking lot. I can ask sarx and oriah (our verified sar) to come up and explain a little bit about sar searching.. It is very interesting. (esp how they use gps, etc)

Not a local but the Pine River is the river that the Vallecito dam and lake is on. This website gives a pretty good description. It flows from northeast of the lake through to southwest, through Bayfield and down into New Mexico.

I did get a feel the fishing of choice would be fly fishing and gear. A pole that can be broken down into 4 pieces.

If the guy was in the area looking at rental properties he had to have made arrangements to get inside these places, so surely somebody got his name and number? You don't usually just go driving around looking at the outside of properties. You make arrangements with the owners to meet with them to have a look inside.

I have thought of that, too...

Wouldn't there be some kind of phone/email/etc record of communication between the mystery man and a realtor/renter?

However...,that is assuming that this was actually what the man was doing in that area in the first place... YKWIM...

THE MAN....LE will not identify the tipster. We don't know the sex of the tipster.

I can only assume there are many average height, average weight, average age Hispanic men in the area so it seems to me that the confirmation that he was looking for rental property would have had to come from a rental agent, property manager, home owner advertising a rental, etc. If confirmed, you'd think somebody would have been able to provide a name, contact number, vehicle description, something. I guess considering this is a round the year vacation area, there may have been several Hispanic men looking for rentals around this time, maybe? But the statement makes it sounds as though they have confirmed it is the SAME man the tipster saw. All M (confused) OO.

LE seems to have confirmed that the MAN was looking for rentals. I don't know how they confirmed this but would suspect that possibly a landlord came forward? I would think that if another tipster came forward and told them the same story it still would not CONFIRM that he actually was looking for rentals. He could have just been giving that reason for being in the area. KWIM?

Now if a landlord had contact with this man I would hope they would at least have a phone number, email address or something. This man had to use some means of getting ahold of the landlord. Unless the MAN was just knocking on doors of houses with 'For Rent' signs?

since MR, ER, and CR,agreed to today's K-9 Search...

then they probably agreed to the sights that would be searched...

since they agreed on area surrounding MR's house...then it really doesn't look like MR is involved in the disappearance..does it?

But...what if LE... At the same time ...,and using news of the K- 9 search as a deflector.. Is actually (under the radar) conducting another search,in an area they feel is a viable place?

Sounds contrived, I know...,but I remember this similar situation happening in another missing Gal's case in WA not too long ago...(Heischel maybe?)

Just some thoughts...

That would be AWESOME! Of course, I doubt it but great thinking! When I saw the search locales, I thought the K-9 team is listening both to mom (hence near MR's house) and dad (hence near Bayfield). I hope beyond hope that LE has had some input. Otherwise, it's needle in a haystack. Wasn't Heichel found due to a tipster?

If I thought going on the Dr. Phil show would help to find my missing child and his show thrived on the above criteria, I would send Dr. Phil a letter saying I am a scornful angry divorced woman of a raging alcoholic abusive husband - we are still fighting like cats and dogs, which caused me to rob a bank, which threw my entire family into therapy and yet we are still at each other's throats, so I need you Dr. Phil.

The 6:30 time is purely rumor at this point. Don't know if that's the correct time or not.

Regardless, LE has confirmed a man fitting this description was looking for rentals that day/morning/whatever. I think that's the main point. And I think they just want to question this man to see if maybe he saw or heard anything or perhaps there's more to this man?

That's exactly how I see it, too. I've not seen it reported anywhere that the Dr. Phil show wouldn't proceed without MR. ER and CR said they were ready to go either way. MR has also said he's willing to do the show from the get-go with his only reservation being rescheduling.

I'm sure everyone remembers MR saying that ER and her supporters had excluded him from vigils/fundraisers/awareness events. I'm sure everyone remembers MR saying he wanted a face to face to with ER and that he was going to arrange a meditation through his attorney but that ER hadn't agreed.

Dr. Phil doesn't need ER and MR. They need him. If there's a chance in a million this exposure will help find Dylan, they should take it. Assuming the innocence of both parents, Dr. Phil delving into their personal lives is nothing and in no way compares to the pain of a missing child. All MOO

I have mixed feelings,regarding using Dr. Phil,as a vehicle for finding Dylan... But I don't need to post them here...


But... I can't imagine Dr. Phil digging and finding anything more "uncomfortable" for Dylan's family that has not already been revealed per MSM...and other sites...

So the family members should really be faced with no surprises....

BBM - IMO I do not see that these searchers would need either parent to agree to any particular spot. They may need MR's permission to go onto his property but not the public area outside his property (road, etc). I'd be very suspect if MR did NOT agree to allow them onto his property.
