I think the jury wanted to look at the all the Dr's notes and reports. Not evidence so not allowed. They have to rely on memory I suppose?

Jurors want to know whether reports and notes by Drs. Reid, Metzner and Gur were entered into evidence. They were not. #theatershooting

Julie Hayden ‏@HaydenTV · 1m1 minute ago
jurors actually had two questions on sanity issue. looks like they got right to crux of case.

#theatershooting trial jury questions: jury questions and evidence from psych evals. They're clearly deep in it.

Judge has proposed answers to both questions. Attorneys reviewing. #theatershooting

I love Judge Samour! He already drafts the answers to the Juror's ?'s THEN asks the attys to look it over. #theatershooting

#theatershooting jury had 2?'s. 1. About instruction 22 which refers to insanity 2. If expert reports were in evidence

Judge: Instruction 22 relates to defense's theory on case. Psych reports were not admitted into evidence. #TheaterShooting

#TheaterShooting judge advised jury that instruction 22 is informational. (They were confused as to what it instructed.)

#theatershooting judge says no expert reports in evidence & they have all evidence except live ammo

Larry Ryckman ‏@larryryckman · 1m1 minute ago
Instruction 22 informs jurors about the defense's theory of the case, the judge says. "This is not an instruction of law." #theatershooting

Orman,King agree with judge's response to question 4. Judge tells jurors they have all the evidence, except for live ammo. #theatershooting

#theatershooting Trial back on verdict watch

I always try to guess if the jury questions are good for prosecution or the defense....I'm usually wrong....

I hope the jury doesnt think that the physch doctors testimony and reports need to be taken as fact.

#theatershooting jury still working on procedure, all questions relate to getting started. Last ? About insanity moves towards substance

Jury questions are just a snapshot and hard to interpret, but sure looks like they are zeroing in on the insanity defense. #theatershooting

CJD 12-03 sets the maximum expert fee for most sanity evals in Colorado at $1500. Dr. Reid's: over $400,000. #theatertrial #theatershooting

I agree with Scott that they are immediately honing in on trying to figure out if he meets the legal definition of being insane.

And that is a tough thing for them to do IMO.

I am concerned that some of the jury may have different interpretations of what they are using to decide. Hopefully the jurors will be able to help each other if 1 or 2 of them has a wrong understanding of the rules of Colorado's legal definition.

The hard thing IMO for some to grasp is that having a mental illness doesnt equate to being legally insane. Its the severity of the illness that would dictate it.

I feel a little better knowing JH sat there in front of the jury and maintained his composure as a fairly normal person. I think it could have been much harder if JH had faked and acted out each day of the trial.

That could mean a late night all around if jurors reach a verdict late in the day. #theatershooting

I really thought we might see JH playing up at some point in the trial. But that would go against what his attorneys are saying. He is medicated now. So much better than he was in July 2012.

BBM~ So they should..That's why looking at the defences theory is so important !! Basically from King's closing as well as this Theory goes..It's the inability to control his compulsion to kill.. However..This kind of reminds me of those cases like "The Twinkie" defence..That he can't be held responsible because even tho he controlled everything in his life..the compulsion to kill and gain value HE couldn't....SMH..

Well he was medicated.....(gag)---this is what the defense is hoping they will see--that with medication he is "normal" without--psychotic killer jmo

miracles of miracles.....

Well he was medicated.....(gag)---this is what the defense is hoping they will see--that with medication he is "normal" without--psychotic killer jmo

The problem with that theory tho is that he was in full control in his planning phase, preparation, even dated during that period, able to look up how to handle consequences of things..avoided telling the truth when asked by psychiatrists, was able to maintain hygiene of self, shop, methodically set up his apartment and even considered hiding the odours..leaving door slightly ajar with tripwire..yikes..never mind his paying his bills, rent onetime if not early....even just before entering theatre made a call to help line but hung up before answered..sent Fenton his notebook with money half burnt and made sure it wouldn't arrive until after his mission was complete.....ALL without medications..He even refused to take anti-psychotic meds because they would make him too sleepy..LOL

Sorry ..that is someone on a mission alright..and manipulating everything to create an excuse for himself to fulfill his fantasy...It wasn't a delusion..because it became a REALITY..and quite capable of doing it!!

Since he still believes in the human capitol self worth by how many kills to this day does that mean when he has the opportunity will he try to kill guards, staff, other inmates? People with mental disorders like schizophrenia go on and off meds all the time so if he does decide to stop taking it or cheeks them he is still extremely dangerous!!

For sure Whiteorchids...and we already know how skilled he is at hiding he thoughts from everybody and act normal ( for him) even while planning some sort of horrific
Kill Zone/box" as Mr. B. termed it yesterday in closings...He fooled the world prior to his mission complete prior to doing it with very intelligent professional folks wether it was Doctors or his professors at the University...He's aa time bomb ..plain and simple..bent of himself worthiness....

I still don't understand why if he hated life so much..why NOT put himself out of his own misery?? He says..he hates pain..so why not hoard drugs..and OD then...NOPE!!.. that replacing suicide thoughts with homicidal thoughts is a complete RED HERRING IMO !!
