... he was able to abduct a child within at the very most within 0.5 miles of her house, on a school day, with someone waiting for her within that 0.5 miles and none saw a thing...

This part really caught my attention.

I'm assuming LE has spoken with the uncle/cousin, who waited at the park for Jessica until 8:40, whether they saw any cars driving by and what those cars looked like. Since we haven't heard anything about a particular car, it would seem that either they didn't see any cars, or that LE was able to follow up with leads and cleared the cars that were seen? Maybe it's too soon to know.

The alternative is that the perp snatched her and left out either through Moore or Moore Circle, and onto 108th avenue.

The timing just seems so perfect, too perfect. According to Google maps, it should only have taken her uncle/cousin 3 minutes to get to the park... they would have gotten to the park just ahead of her. This person had to be there, decide to grab her, grab her, get her off the road and gone, very, very quickly.

I'm not good with specific car models but it looks like it might be at least 10 years old to me. Also looks like it may have grey or white marks (primer?) by the front headlight and under the back window:

edit to add: although that may be a reflection.

Are you SERIOUS? I assume this varies by state?? I am ALL FOR having a sex offender registery, but I think it's a shame that some young people are lumped into the same group (or even some dumb older ones, or older ones who couldn't "hold it" any longer). That's crazy and ridiculous!

Each state has it's own requirements.

In Iowa, yes, it is possible to get on the sex offender registry for public urination. And, at least for awhile, the law made the registry retroactive.

It caught a friend of my brother. When he was out with my brother hitting the bars, being stupid young things at 18 (this was back when the legal drinking age was 18), they left their last bar of the evening and didn't have enough cash left to meet the cover charge to get into another bar so they headed home. As they were heading home, the effects of too many pitchers of beer caught up to them.

Due to the time, the only places open in the area were bars. Due to the cover charges, none of them could go into any of those bars. So they used the alley. Three of them (including my brother) were done and the fourth of them was still going when a foot patrol officer entered the alley.

He ticketed the last guy with "lewd and lascivious display" on the grounds that it was a public alley and a child could have seen it. Any child venturing into a totally unlit alley at 1:30 am on a Friday night had a lot more to worry about than seeing a drunk guy peeing.

I'm not excusing my brother or his friends, it was a stupid and gross thing to do. But it wasn't done by future predators, it was done by a gaggle of stupid 18 year old boys.

He paid up his fine (as I recall, it was less than the $20 court charge) and forgot about it.

Went through college, went through medical school, became an orthopedic surgeon specialising in knee injuries. And then one day, he got a call from a neighbour who knew him asking him why he was on the sex offender registry. Took him close to a year to apply to have his previous conviction expunged (he had no further convictions, not even a speeding ticket) and get his name removed.

And that, to me, was even stupider than an 18 year old peeing in an alley because he forgot to visit the rest room before he left the bar.

Once I get on the forum I hate to leave or refresh because it is so hard to get back on. [snipped]

I just took Victory's advice and blocked ads, because it is the Motley Fool ads that are causing trouble. No trouble at all now. Thanks, Victory!

Youre welcome! I had to try the because I noticed if I kept refreshing until an ad other than Motelys came up, the page would load but I was getting tired of refreshing. lol

And what happens if the child grows up and doesn't WANT their info in a database. Kind of stepping on the kids rights, wouldn't you think?

I guess the kid should have chosen different parents.

I'm against it, so I'm not sure what you're asking.

I'm off for the night.

I kind of expect something's going to happen with another clue or something around 11-1 local time, though if there's really something going down in Superior right now and not a false alarm, that could be it...no reason, just a hunch. It'd be exactly a week since the backpack.

Thanks, but my ads are blocked since the last time we had issues.

Just saw about the attempted abduction. I googled mapped that golden is 25 min from Westminister. Any thoughts on if same perp since it was a boy that was lured? Perp was described as young. Copy cat? Unrelated? The perp?

Can't get on WS online so missing a lot of what is going on. WS only works on my phone tonight

Anymore info on what's going on in Superior re. the Crime Scene Tape?

Was wondering, havent read the thread...sorry....has it been confirmed she was sexually assaulted? For some very strange reason my gut is telling me she wasn't.
