  • Frazee never once left the state in the 11 days between the time that Berreth was last seen alive and her mother first reported her missing
Two individuals who have worked with the Idaho women that is being investigated for disposing of Kelsey Berreth's cell phone say that she and Patrick Frazee had been in a romantic relationship for months.

The woman, whose identity is not being revealed as she has not yet been charged with a crime, could also be the person who had been plotting with Frazee about killing Berreth should the investigation prove she did in fact dispose of the cell.

DailyMail.com spoke with two people who know the nurse professionally, and they both said that they had been told that Frazee was having an affair with the woman.

The woman was divorced from her husband a few years back they explained, and had met Frazee at a rodeo.

Neither of those individuals knew exactly when the relationship started, but they believed it could have been as early as 2016 - prior to the birth of Frazee's child.

One of the the people DailyMail.com spoke with also said that the nurse was in Colorado around Thanksgiving.

That would explain how Frazee was able to get the cell phone to Idaho while never leaving the state.

Patrick Frazee’s Mother Intervening in Custody Fight Over His and Kelsey Berreth’s 1-Year-Old Daughter
The mother of accused murderer Patrick Frazee was in court Thursday to fight over custody of the 1-year-old daughter the defendant shared with his missing fiancée Kelsey Berreth.

Berreth’s parents won custody of the 1-year-old child last week in an emergency hearing. That battle is not over. Frazee’s mother wants a say in the matter. His mother filed a motion to intervene.

Journalists were kicked out of the courtroom, so it wasn’t immediately clear what happened in court. As in last week’s emergency hearing, Thursday’s appearance ended without a decision, though one is expected later.

A new report suggests that accused killer Patrick Frazee may have been involved with a woman believed to be a key witness — or possibly an accomplice — in the presumed murder of Kelsey Berreth long before the Colorado mother disappeared.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, multiple sources have said that authorities are investigating a woman in Idaho in connection to the case. She is reportedly a nurse from Twin Falls, and she has not been publicly identified. ABC News reported that the woman is believed to have played a role in the disposal of Berreth’s cell phone. The phone pinged outside of Gooding, Idaho, about 40 miles from Twin Falls, on November 25, three days after Berreth went missing.

The Daily Mail reportedly spoke to two people who have worked with the Idaho woman, and they said that she and Frazee had been involved for quite some time, possibly as far back as 2016 and before Frazee and Berreth’s daughter was born. The unnamed sources said that Frazee met the woman at a rodeo.

One of the sources reportedly said that the Idaho woman had traveled to Colorado over the Thanksgiving holiday, speculating that she likely took the cell phone with her back to Idaho.

There isn't a lot new here. Frazee's sister (the daughter's aunt) was present with Frazee's mom in court today. They're waiting for discovery in the criminal case before proceeding further with the custody case. Court continues temp. physical custody w/ Berreth's mom.

Reports: Twin Falls nurse suspected of disposing missing Colorado woman's cellphone
ABC News reported Wednesday that a 32-year-old nurse from Twin Falls is being investigated for allegedly disposing of the missing woman's cellphone in Idaho, according to two of the woman's family members and a law enforcement source.

ABC's Clayton Sandell reported that the Twin Falls woman has known Frazee for years and that the two worked together for a time in Colorado.

CNN also reported Thursday that a Twin Falls woman was involved in the investigation, citing "a source with knowledge of the investigation."

The Times-News has received multiple anonymous tips that the case involves a 32-year-old registered nurse at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center whose Facebook account was recently closed.

St. Luke's spokeswoman Michelle Bartlome confirmed that law enforcement has contacted the hospital. Bartlome, however, said she "wasn't in a position to disclose" which agency made contact.

Lori Stewart, spokeswoman for the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, told the Times-News the two departments have a joint special investigation unit but did not say if the property searched is in the city or county.

Reports suggest that Mr Frazee had started an affair with the nurse as far back as 2016 - prior to the birth of his daughter, Kaylee, with Berreth.

If the nurse did in fact dispose of Berreth's mobile phone it would explain why it ended up so far away without Mr Frazee ever leaving the state.

1-year-old daughter of Kelsey Berreth will stay with grandparents
Kelsey Berreth‘s 1-year-old daughter will temporarily remain with her maternal grandparents as prosecutors pursue a murder charge against the girl’s father for her mother’s death.

According to a court-provided summary, those involved in the custody case are waiting to review evidence in the criminal case against the girl’s father, 31-year-old Patrick Frazee.

The parties also agreed to delay a hearing on a motion filed by Frazee’s mother to intervene in the case.

The next hearing in the custody case is Feb. 7.

Kelsey Berreth's parents keep temporary custody of her child
Patrick Frazee was in the courtroom on Thursday with his mom and sister for a custody hearing. Frazee was recently arrested for the alleged murder of his fiancee Kelsey Berreth.

Kelsey's parents were recently granted temporary physical custody of Patrick and Kelsey's child. Patrick's mother filed a motion to intervene. On Thursday, parties involved were still waiting to review discovery in the criminal case before proceeding further.

As of Thursday Teller County Department of Human Services had legal custody of the child while Kelsey's parents were once again granted temporary physical custody.

A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Feb. 7.

Reports: Woman in Idaho under investigation in Berreth case
The Daily Mail of London is reporting a nurse in Twin Falls, Idaho is under investigation for possibly disposing of Berreth’s cell phone which pinged in Idaho shortly after her disappearance.

The Daily Mail also reporting the Idaho woman’s co-workers claim she was having an affair with Berreth’s fiance, Patrick Frazee. According to the report, the two met at a rodeo.

None of this has been confirmed by investigators. When News5 reached out to the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office they declined to comment. The FBi referred us to the 4th Judicial District for any comment. As for police in Twin Falls, they tell News5 no investigation is underway by their officers related to the Berreth case. Instead they referred us to contact authorities in Colorado.

Patrick Frazee attends custody hearing of 1-year-old daughter
The Teller County District Court, during a closed hearing, ruled to continue temporary legal custody of the couple’s daughter, 1-year-old Kaylee, with the Colorado Department of Human Services, according to a Colorado Judicial Branch news release. Temporary physical custody of the toddler remains with Berreth’s parents, her maternal grandparents.

On Thursday, Human Services requested the hearing be closed and all parties involved agreed, the release said. The court found that closing the hearing to the general public was in the child’s best interest.

Attorneys for Berreth’s parents, the maternal grandparents, were present in the courtroom, and his clients were connected via telephone, the news release said. Frazee’s mother, who is the paternal grandmother, and an aunt were present with counsel. Kaylee’s guardian ad litem also attended.

The court is waiting to review discovery in the criminal case against Frazee before proceeding further, according to the release. Human services and the guardian ad litem have discretion to set up visitation with Kaylee’s kin.

However, the arrest affidavit, which lays out evidence in Frazee’s criminal case, has been sealed. Attorneys are expected to argue over the arrest affidavit’s release in a Friday afternoon criminal court hearing in Teller County.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Monday.
