Here's something that I thought of- maybe they don't suspect her fiance or whatever he is to her now, because of the phone ping in Idaho? Perhaps he has an airtight alibi for the time period that she went missing and the phone ping. meaning, if she were kidnapped or God forbid, murdered, he wouldn't be a suspect or a POI?

Yep. He's in the Woodland Park area but law enforcement doesn't appear to be there, other than the WPPD, which can't go looking anywhere else. I feel like if the focus of the investigation was in the Woodland Park area, then there would have been more Colorado Bureau of Investigation personnel at the press conference, and FBI, too. JMOO.

Yes, that's one reason among many that I don't think she left willingly. Or maybe she left willingly, and was then detained unwillingly. I sure would like to see her full cell phone trail. I haven't heard of any organized searches, but I like to think that the authorities are at least conducting a cell phone forensic search and obtaining video from any cameras in town.

BBM

No reports of ground searches in Woodland Park. And that is very different from some other recent disappearances in the area where authorities knew the missing person took off on foot or left a car at a trailhead.

I would really be interested to know whether there are any ground searches going on in the Gooding area or other areas that KB has a connection to.

Yup. It could be a false ping. I have been thinking that since yesterday; good to have some backup from the Woodland Park Police Commander.

A false ping on the direct path from where she was last seen to the part of the country where she has lived before and where she has family and friends? The odds of that are astronomical. IMO

Something is off here, wouldn't you be with family members or friends on Thanksgiving? (Unless you were me, and worked for the double pay).

I did tell my boyfriend that if I don't show up for 10 days, he better call the police! Wouldn't someone have noticed her missing? Especially on a holiday? Wonder why she was not spending it with her BF?

Say a prayer for KB.
Exactly...why wasn't she with him or her family for Thanksgiving?

I've wondered the same thing about the Gooding area. We wouldn't be told about it if LE is searching there.

The old trick of parking your murdered girlfriend's car at the airport isn't fooling juries anymore.

WHy no searches though? Because of the phone pings? Shouldn't there be searches in both areas? Of course we have no idea what LE is really doing behind the scenes. But it appears on the outside like a lot of stand and wait.

And it is the direct path to her mom's home and that's who asked for the welfare check on Nov. 25 and who reported her missing a week later. These aren't mere coincidences, imo.

What day was the phone showing in Idaho? Where was her man at that time? I am not sure of the timeline of his whereabouts. 700 miles, thats a 12 hour drive...enough time for someone to get the phone there and send a couple of texts. Also, if it was in fact here texting her work to say she would not be at work the following week...why no call or text to mom to say she is ok?

The most telling thing to me is that LE doesn't believe there is a danger to the community. So that implies she left willingly on her own to get away from everything (but....her daughter?); left willingly with an unscrupulous person who is isn't being forthright; or someone or someones very close and personal to her is/are involved - against her will. I wonder what her closest friends or coworkers or family think or suspect happened.

Likely not a random stranger abduction based on lack of concern from LE regarding risk to the community, fiance not making public pleas, and very, very deliberate limited information released by law enforcement.

And very limited information being released by KB's family, too. Has KB's mom done any interviews at all? Every article I click on that says, "missing woman's mother pleads with public" goes back to the statement mom made at the press conference. No interviews. No extra information.

Very, very interesting.

She and her family have been very active getting the word out on social media.

They haven’t offered a great deal of information, but that could have been a recommendation by LE.

Not a mod, but yes The Daily Mail is an approved source.

I thought the lady in green was from the CBI. I could be wrong. MOO

Yes, she was, but she was merely a public information officer who was there to help the WPPD facilitate the press conference. I didn't see a phalanx of state police in the room like you might expect. It was different when there were press conferences for the Watts case or the Maggie Long case. JMO

"Officers from the Woodland Park Police Department did respond to Kelsey's residence on December 2 and performed a community caretaker's search of her residence to see if they could locate her, but she was not inside her residence."

I still do not believe the mother asked for a welfare check on November 25. Nothing coming directly from the police says anything about a welfare check on November 25. I don't see any concrete confirmation of what day Kelsey's mother reached out to the fiance, but there does not appear to be any official record of her contacting law enforcement before December 2.

The last Woodland Park Police Department facebook page post about the case says there have requests for the mother to give interviews, but she doesn't want to conduct any today.
