IMHO, it's possible for the perp to have killed Kelsey, driven to Gooding, Idaho (to make it look as if she was on her way to where she had family), sent the alleged texts on November 25th, then buried Kelsey and her phone in a remote area near Gooding or thrown both Kelsey and the phone into the Big Wood River (or one of its tributaries) that flows through Gooding.
There is no reason at all to drive to Gooding, ID. It's way off the beaten path. It's not on the way to her family in Northern ID it's way out of the way. It makes no sense at all.

She and her family have been very active getting the word out on social media.

They haven’t offered a great deal of information, but that could have been a recommendation by LE.
I agree, seems to be the only explanation for so little really basic info being shared. Where she was supposed to be on Thanksgiving, why not with the fiance, why so long to report her missing. All seem like some of the first things i expected to hear from Mom and LE

I thought that she did tell her mum that she was having dinner with the fiance in the evening.

It’s truly bizarre.

It is on the way to where she used to live in Washington, but because I don’t believe she left willingly, it only muddies the waters.

It’s not near mom’s house, and that’s where you would think someone who is trying to commit a coverup, would bring her phone.

After the false ping article, this one came out with a statement from Verizon.

"The same day officers conducted the welfare check, Berreth’s cell phone was pinged near Gooding at 5:13 p.m – over 800 miles from her home in Colorado. Steve Van Dinter, a Verizon spokesman, tells EastIdahoNews.com that the ping would be accurate within a mile of the location coordinates."

New information released on case of missing mother whose phone was last pinged in Idaho | East Idaho News
Thank you for posting this! So, why did they say it might be a false ping? Ei yi yi yi yi.

"Officers from the Woodland Park Police Department did respond to Kelsey's residence on December 2 and performed a community caretaker's search of her residence to see if they could locate her, but she was not inside her residence."

I still do not believe the mother asked for a welfare check on November 25. Nothing coming directly from the police says anything about a welfare check on November 25. I don't see any concrete confirmation of what day Kelsey's mother reached out to the fiance, but there does not appear to be any official record of her contacting law enforcement before December 2.

The last Woodland Park Police Department facebook page post about the case says there have requests for the mother to give interviews, but she doesn't want to conduct any today.

Attached flyer posted on official police fb page with statement about Kelsey's mother.

Multiple local and national media have reported there was a Nov. 25 welfare check at the request of KB's mother. I think they have obtained the information from a police report. I have no reason to doubt the information.

Well somehow they "met up" in order for him to now have possession of the young daughter. But what happened next?
That is the strange part. Why did he come in the afternoon to pick up the baby if she was having dinner with him that night?
I am starting to think that maybe he was coming to have dinner with her, hence the shopping and the rolls and something happened.

And it is the direct path to her mom's home and that's who asked for the welfare check on Nov. 25 and who reported her missing a week later. These aren't mere coincidences, imo.
It's conceivable that the phone was transported by someone other than Kelsey for the purpose of deceiving missing person investigators.

MOD NOTE

Reminder that it is against TOS to use the full name of a minor child on the thread unless the minor child is missing or a victim of violence, such as murder.

Please do not use Kelsey's daughter's full name on the thread and do not sleuth Kelsey's daughter on the thread. I understand that she may have her mother's last name, but we don't need to sleuth more information at this time. If you must refer to the daughter, please just use the first initial of her first name.

Thank you!

So someone arranged a candlelight vigil for Kelsey if anyone is interested. (interesting part is the family (WHO didn't arrange it) aren't allowing media) Like don't they want the word to get out???? none of this makes sense.

Date/time: Thursday, December 13th at 6pm
Location: We will gather at the flagpole at Memorial Park in Woodland Park (200 N Park St)

They don't need a search warrant if someone allows them on their property. Guess that's not happening? IDK.

That you know of. She was known by LE to be missing on December 2. The story seemed to break out of nowhere over the weekend, and the WPPD was (sort of) forced to do a press conference to show that they were actually conducting an investigation.

My point is that we don't know what investigating happened between 12/2 and 12/10.

And very limited information being released by KB's family, too. Has KB's mom done any interviews at all? Every article I click on that says, "missing woman's mother pleads with public" goes back to the statement mom made at the press conference. No interviews. No extra information.

Very, very interesting.
Kelsey's mom has posted interesting info on FB. We can't discuss it on here.
